The staff are what makes this hotel as they are really welcoming and helpful. It is a fantastic hotel. The rooms are great and the hotel is in close proximinity to the main shopping centre and central Doha.

1. Very cold ambient room temperature setting in the Swimming Pool area. Practically impossible to enjoy the swimming pool. 2. User UN-FRIENDLY TV & phone menu. I want to simply click through the channels, not to spend 10 minutes figuring out the menu. The browsing thru channels was difficult, because everytime you have to go back to the main menu. The very complex, high-end Nortel phones in the rooms are useless. A business traveller for one night will NEVER use any of those features. I just wanted to make an outside call - and there was NOWHERE indicated that you have to dial 9 before the number.

staff is friendly. took 2 hours for check in, another hour for check out. Gave me an occupied room, they apologized, and gave me another room that is less then half the size of what i have booked online, there wasn't even a place to put my luggage, they changed it after I asked 3 times. Additionally, they should mention on the web that it's a dry hotel (no alcohol served).
The staff was very welcoming upon my arrival. The room was wth nice and clean, and great value for the price. I would stay here again and recommend it to others.

The Indonesian and Filipino Staff members that we interacted with were excellent, put on a great face for the Hotel and deserve more than they will ever get. We visited the Grand Hyatt "next door" for dinner and their non-existent front staff made the Ritz-Carlton shine like a diamond. The room was nice and comfortable. Easy access on the fringe of the city and yes, I would stay here again. Like everything in the "growing" GCC cities, overvalued. Internet access should be inclusive period.

good location, good value of money, cleean, club loungem, ffod, brekfast, and more the internet not free, tis is very bad these days for any traveler, i think sheraton has to change this policy of internet charging, internet is very important to be free, it dose not cost sheraton too much, but they charge you too much, 8 us $ l hr. it is really very bad and gives feeling tha you are stuck and yo have to pay allot for youe emails, i hate to pay for the internet in sheraton while i becomes free in the street.very bad

Very helpful staff, rooms were lovely, everything you'd expect from this type of hotel.
The room was nice. We stayed at the club floor and being able to have snacks (free) thoroughout the day was very convenient. the hotel gets very crowded and noisy, at night especially. The beach was awful (they allow outside guests as well) and water very dirty.
The hotel is obviously a world class international hotel but veering towards business users, as we were not there on business it was not perhaps the best choice, but the staff were always very helpful and kind. What we found most annoying was the non-availability of Taxis. We were pressed to use the hotel limo service, which was ok to and from the airport but was very expensive for short trips down town, for example they charged 70 to go to the museum, but the taxi coming back was only 30. I would have chosen a hotel closer to a taxi stand had I realised this problem when booking.
The position is great, right on the waterfront and with all the facilities you need. Its an iconic building, there is not much history in the new Doha and this is part of it.
I was very pleased with my room, though being on the flight path to the airport sometimes was noisy. The breakfast was very good also. I found the air conditioning at night to be hot, maybe this had something to do with the electrical work going on in the hotel, and doonas make it very warm, a blanket would also be good as an alternative.

We loved the Club room. It's great value for money, and they allow children so my family and I could all spend time together. The food was wonderful! We also really enjoyed the pool and beach... a very relaxing getaway!
I had asked for a non-smoking room and someone had smoked in it when I arrived. No questions asked I was immediately upgraded to a King Suite. Very accommodating. It currently is a bit far from anything else to do. We were glad we had hired a car. Eventually many more things will be in this location. If you planned to just hang out at the hotel, it is a lovely spot for that.
The staff was outstanding,if not overly attentive. From the pick up at the airport to the greeting when i arrived, evryone addressed me by my name and treated me with a welcoming respect as if I were a returning customer.

The coffee shop at the lobby area and its helpful and politestaff as well as the fitness facilities including the assigned staff who were very professional and considerate. All my life been using Booking.com ... I always pay cash ... he tells me "no sir you cant pay cash because you already paid when you first booked" and he actually believed that and didnt wanna listen to me .... I am in a 5 stars hotel if I want a monkey to pay my room I should be allowed to do that!!
People fly into and out of Doha, Qatar enroute to other destinations around the clock. When you pay $150 per night to rest before your next flight, is it too much to ask that they open up the fitness center before 7am? After all, most travelers leave between 5-7am.

Its location is not bad. It is not far from Soak Waqif and the sea. Also, city centre shopping mall is nearby. Although we asked for the room to be made up noon time, it took them very long to com. We were tired waiting and decided to put the not disturb sign to get a nap. That did not stop them from coming and knocking the door several times!!!!!!!!!!! We reported that and we would give this hotel a try one more time.

The hospitality and the reception staff , They are excellent specially Mr. Mulhem. They were willing to help and comfort the people. The noisy of some hotel visitors. The breakfast was not included as part of the room . The cost of one night is higer than expected. Weekend rate is higher than weekdays rate. I do not understand this change of rates during one week stay.

Great service and very friendly staff. Large pool and beach area. Fantastic buffets in the Cafe. Some days there are different themes (like ladiesnight) which attracts lots of people and the pool gets a bit crowded.
After an early check out it was noticed that the hotel had charged me again, this was already paid on Bookings.com, still not had a reply from the hotel.

Room bar prices extremely high. Locally coke is less than QR1 per can. In the room bar it was QR15. Every item was at least 10 times local prices. I didn't use the bar and purchased outside.

The view Yes. The front desk staff was incompetent in handling a customer who has just arrived on an 8hr flight at 6am in the morning. Even though the check in time was 2pm, I had requested for a special arrangement since I arrived earlier - there was so much talk abt charges but not much show about service. There was no proper greeting, no empathy - no welcome drink. Practically no service.
The complementary dinner they gave me to overcome the problems they made. 1) long time to do check-in, 30 mins although I checked in an hour after the offitial check-in time. So I was on late Check-in status. 2) I reserved three rooms. The first room they gave me was not ready. 3) after I left the room and come back, like 90 mins, I found out that the room service guy entered my room and took the card on the main switch, not only pulling it out. The room climet was too worm becouse of that. 4) The AC was drooping some condincate water. 5) Before I checked out, like an hour before checking out, I went to the reciption and asked them to give me a new card to make sure that it will open the room door. The reciptionest gave me a useless card and it did not open the room. This made be go back to them and ask for a new card again.

The did their best to help despite being hampered by you inappropriate rules, regulations and guidelines. How can you sit someone at a noisy bar in The Cellar when they have expressed a wish to sit somewhere quiet, not once or twice but three times. A bar where over-attentive bar staff were watching your every move ready to jump in and lift the glass of wine to your lips or feed you from your plate. You need to teach your staff firstly some people, especially when they are tired, do not want over attention and in that case need to be sat in a quiet spot. It does not matter if I am one person sitting at a table for four (because you do not have tables that seat less). That is not my problem, it is yours and your designers. If you are a five star hotel, which after my stay I cannot agree with, you put your guests comfort first and not the possibi
