Staff were very welcoming and helpful, location was close to town centre with plenty of shops, bars and restraunts
Friendly & helpful Liked the breakfast coffee Bed comfortable It was a warm night and I would have liked to have opened the window but the room overlooked a busy and noisy road.
No en suite
Friendly owners, very good breakfast, excellent value for money Needs signposting better from the road, not the easiest place to find
Very good family run hotel, its a pity the rooms were being redecorated but enjoyed the stay None
There are no good points Not alowed to book in utill 5pm /no onsuite facilities /toilet and bathroon shared with hotel manager and family/ no working television/ animals (ie)Two South african Rodents/ Lizards and Crickets in glass cabinets which my wife hates. The crickets made their noise all night
Hostess was friendly, even when I was a bit late for check-in! The premises was attractive and clean (v/ nice garden), as was the room I stayed in. The bathroom was very clean and well-maintained. It was very quiet in my room and the surrounding area. I needed to store some food in the refrigerator and was easily accommodated. The bed in my room (Yellow Room) was uncomfortable. I am a small person (54kilos) and I could still feel the springs beneath me. It was a bit like sleeping on cardboard. Not marked very well- would be easy to pass it by on the main road as I nearly did! Also, the 'Full English' was good, but pretty skimpy. One piece of bacon, two little mushrooms, a tiny hashbrown, and a couple spoonfuls of beans (replaced sausage and egg). If I would have had time to ask for more I would have, but I needed to leave pretty quickly, so did not. The two gentlemen that were also there had pretty skimpy plates as well, so it wasn't just me! I would recommend, but make sure you ask for extra breakfast!
Mary made us feel very welcome. Lovely decor. Very good breakfast
Nothing I paid for the room but felt unable to stay. The room was a twin and was very cramped. The window was single glazed on a busy road which was very noisy. The curtains were virtually transparent and the room was nowhere near dark. The second bed was a camp bed. The bathroom was to be shared with other rooms.
