Pros: The Strawberry Cottage is a beautiful little oasis in amongst all the bustle of Southampton. The Owner is very welcoming. the room was comfortable, clean and quiet. I had no problem parking the car.

Pros: Breakfast had loads of choice. I had to leave early so did not have time to sample the cooked breakfast, breakfast started at 7.30 which for work commuters is a little late 7am would have been ideal. Pros: Creswell House suited our needs very well. The couple were friendly and helpful and breakfast menu was very good. We found it very convenient for motorways and travelling round as we wanted soewhere from which to base ourselves in the area.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The hosts are fabulous..I was also really impressed with how spacious and big my room was. I absolutely loved staying here. It's also a few minutes walk to the town , local shops and supermarkets .. there is a small shared fridge in the dining room which is a brilliant idea because if you don't want to eat out you can buy stuff to bring in. Perfect for me .I would definitely stay again
Cons: Having to leave lol .
Excellent 10.0
Pros: We have stayed here many times and always found everything perfect.
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Great location, great hosts, car park, lovely clean room.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Both Fran and Ken very welcoming. On our arrival Fran concerned we wouldn't be warm enough, offered extra blankets. Not needed we were as warm as toast. Bed comfy, bathroom great. Had an en suite bathroom. All in all very happy. English breakfast was great, and even had almond milk for the cereal
Cons: No issues with anything.
Excellent 9.5
Pros: Very friendly hosts, nothing was too much trouble, fresh milk to take to the bedroom when required for the teas and coffees an excellent bonus, good choice on breakfast menu, breakfasts were perfectly cooked and well presented, extremely comfortable bed, would certainly book again.
Excellent 9.3
Pros: location
Cons: no yoguart ar breakfast
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Ken and Fran are excellent hosts who obviously care about the people who stay with them. They take an interest in their guests and are prepared to do that extra little thing to accommodate individual preferences. For example, I only drink Earl Grey Tea. As many B&Bs don't normally I have this I always have a teabag in my pocket for b'fast. Didn't say anything to them yet next morning there was EGT available - so impressed! This is just one small example of their superb customer focus. M&S food hall, Lidl and Sainsbury's within easy walking distance. Eastleigh rail station is just a couple of 100 metres away. This really is a gem of a find and I wholeheartedly recommend it. Very reasonably priced.
Cons: Nothing, everything was great.
Good 7.5
Pros: Friendly and low key
Cons: Instant coffee
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The owners were really lovely and made us very welcome. It felt very relaxed and comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble. We enjoyed a lovely breakfast too. The bedroom and bathroom were immaculate. It was also good to have safe parking.

Excellent 8.0
Pros: The property was brilliant! A true Hilton. The staff gave us an complimentary upgrade and put a card and balloons in our room for our anniversary
Cons: I didn’t like the fact that the wedding party that were arriving at the same time as us got priority over everybody else in the reception area.... I was shocked that given we were staying we still had to pay £35 per person to use the spa area.... fitness facility and the hydro pool. It would be great to use that for free and then we may have used the extra cash to have a treatment!!
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Great steak at Beefy’s
Cons: Small space for the buffet
Excellent 9.5
Pros: Excellent location for our cruise holiday. Lovely food. Very comfortable room.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: As usual...great stay. Scores speak for themselves. Staff great..polite, helpful and smiling
Okay 4.5
Pros: The spa, therapists and other employees in there were absolutely lovely, very friendly and helpful. Treatment was great!
Cons: On arriving we were greeted by what we consider as a judgemental woman. As I visit Hilton’s hotels at least once a year I’m aware of the procedure upon arrival and I can confidently say I’ve never been greeted by such an unwelcoming person in all my stays. It was our first time at Ageas Bowl, my partners first time to a Hilton, it was a break to celebrate our engagement. Sadly, the woman at the front desk disrupted our excitement completely, also insisted we paid beforehand and told us we weren’t able to charge anything to our room. Without a good reason, we can only believe she judged us incorrectly. We later had dinner in the Beefy’s restaurant where we were charged and extortionate amount for food that was below average and over done. The staff were again not welcoming at all and the waiter left various items off our bill which we asked him to add on, which proves again that we were poorly judged on arrival. With an order to not ask for room service or charge anything to our room, we spent the majority of our time travelling down to the bar and back up to the room to get refreshments. We also asked at reception for information on the spa, to which a male member of staff responded ‘I don’t know it opens at 9 tomorrow’ and turned his back on us. The front of house staff all seemed to have a severe lack of people skills and completely ruined our experience. They belittled us and made us feel unwelcome and embarrassed. In all honesty, it was a waste of a large amount of money and completely ruined our engagement.

Pros: Great Location just a ten min walk to City centre,, great breakfast, staff very helpful. Hotel also does Cruise parking at a good rate, would stay again
Excellent 8.3
Pros: My room was on ground floor but lovely and very welcoming
Cons: My room near kitchen but ppl smoking in car park and I can smell it I don’t like to complain but I don’t smoke and it’s not a thing I like to smell in my room
Good 6.8
Pros: Friendly staff. Room and ensuite clean ands beds quite comfortable.
Cons: Room was like a sauna. Small fan only recirculated the warm air. Cooked breakfast reasonably good but more choice needed or fresh fruit. A mirror in the bedroom where you could see to dry your hair would have been nice.
Okay 4.3
Cons: The double room we requested was stifling hot we even brought our own fan as read review it might be hot. It was too hot so we asked to move . The only room left was a twin which was a little better but we had 3 fans going and it wasn’t even a very hot weekend . Was warm. They offered £15 off the price after I asked.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Room was large and well equipped. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast great.
Cons: Whilst the room was large and airy something needs to be done about the very creaky floor between the bedroom and bathroom. We could hear the people in the next room speaking and they also had the same creaky floor. The bath panel was broken and in a dangerous condition with sharp plastic left exposed. Needs urgent attention. No plug for the sink.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: This place was lovely for our overnight stay prior to departure from Port of Southampton for a cruise. The fact that 14 nights parking was also available was a great added bonus as it meant we could just leave our car in the CCTV monitored car park and get a taxi for a short ride into the port which cost under £10. The staff were all exceptionally friendly and helpful too. The room was very spacious and beds were comfy. Breakfast was lovely although we had to wait a good 25 minutes before there was room for us at a table in the restaurant, but they had had a large party in for a celebration the night before so I think we just hit breakfast at the wrong time. Would definitely stay here again - a good friendly family run Hotel and perfect if you need an overnight stay if you off on a cruise as not too far from port but far enough out of main Centre to have a quiet stay.
Cons: Bigger car park or less trees, so we didn't have to park under the trees as when we came back from our cruise our car was covered in sap and wasps!
Excellent 9.5
Pros: The hotel was really nice, stylish and clean. The staff was kind and helpful, even when we needed to have a quick breakfast to be able to make it in time for an event, they were happy to prepare the food quickly. The traditional English breakfast was delicious and filling. I also needed an iron, which I received very quickly.
Cons: Due to facing the road, it was a bit noisy in the morning. It was still alright.
Excellent 9.3
Pros: Price and staff
Cons: Outdoor garden Food and Bar
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Room was spacious and light and airy.. Staff were friendly and polite.. Breakfast there was really good variety to choose from. Would recommend.

Pros: Very nice location not far from main town. Bedroom and bathroom very good. Lovely breakfast included in the price. Ample parking facilities. Well stocked wine bar and nice restaurant for the evening meal.
Cons: Nothing to not like!
Okay 5.0
Pros: We booked a garden room with lovely patio doors out to the garden and a private seating area for 1 night. The room was comfortable, clean and good value for the price we were quoted. The property was marketed as somewhere quiet and relaxing to say before a cruise, which is why we booked it.
Cons: On Friday 19th July we booked in to find there was a private BBQ event which involved a marquee in the hotel garden, right next to our room ( we were not told this when we booked in, we asked after going into out room and seeing a marquee). As the hotel was fully booked we couldn’t be moved. We were told the event finished at 11pm but there would be noise until then. The lady on reception advised she would talk to her supervisor in the morning to see about a room rate discount due to the noice etc. The were still people outside at 1.30am and noise, so when I checked out in the morning I told reception this and asked about the discount. No message had been passed on and no notes had been left so we paid the full price for a “quiet and relaxing room”. We were told we would receive an email from the owner to sort the problem - still no email to date so this review has been written with no resolution to date. Disappointing really.

Pros: The breakfast was good and the location very handy being close to junction 13 of the motorway.
Cons: Unfortunately, the hotel was VERY noisy due to hoards of families with young babies and children who I gather visit Peppa Pig World nearby. The lounge areas at night were too noisy to sit in due to very small children screaming and running about! Parent didn't seem to be able to control their children nor even attempt to keep them quiet. Our room, on the ground floor, was quiet on night one, by night two a family moved in next door and we were woken at 6am with a crying baby! By night three a family then moved into the other side with a screaming and crying baby. It was intolerable to be honest. The breakfast room each morning was also loud with the sound of screaming children and babies. My suggestion to hotel staff would be to ensure families are kept on the same floors and childless visitors given rooms together on floors/areas without children and babies. Otherwise, it's a nice hotel if you don't mind lots of children, babies and noise!
Good 7.5
Cons: Children everywhere. Pepper Pig down the road.
Good 6.8
Pros: Staff were very friendly and accommodating.
Cons: No available parking when we first arrived as there was a conference on, had to park away from hotel. The hotel could really do with a refurbishment. The fixtures and furniture was very worn and badly needs replacing, torn seat coverings and rusty fittings in the bathroom. The room was fairly clean but not great, mould around the tiles in the bathroom.
Good 7.5
Pros: At breakfast they tried to keep one area free for business/lone travellers which was slightly quieter than the main dining area. A good breakfast and friendly service.
Cons: The hotel was full of families in the foyer, the restaraunt, the bar area... everywhere! It was noisey and children running around everywhere. For a business trip there was no where quiet to sit other than my room. Food all over the floor in the dining area from children eating areas.
Excellent 9.5
Pros: The break fast was very good lots of choice. Only thing not good was rock hard black pudding . All staff were lovely
Cons: There were parts of the hotel a bit tired. We were on first floor. And the carpet was coming apart and it was dangerous as a slip hazard.
Good 6.8
Pros: The fitness centre was well equipped. Reception staff were very friendly and welcoming.
Cons: The rooms are in need of modernisation.
Okay 4.5
Cons: We booked twin beds, but there was only a double bed. No help from reception. Breakfast MUCH too expensive, should have been included at that price!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: We had a family room which was perfect for our needs
Cons: Nothing really, all was good
Okay 5.0
Pros: The staff were very friendly and the evening meal was good. Breakfast was OK for mass catering. Staff responded quickly to replace our kettle which was not working.
Cons: There was some kind of large extractor on the roof above our room which woke us every couple of hours. I'm usually a good sleeper, but even I couldn't sleep through the noise. When we told a member of staff about it the next morning she just said she was new and didn't know about it. The room had not been properly serviced (rubbish in the bathroom bin), but was otherwise clean.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Cleanliness and pleasant and helpful staff.
Cons: Nothing really

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very comfortable bed. Lovely bathroom with easy to use bath/shower controls. I left my hearing aids in the bedroom after we left for a funeral. The staff put them in the safe in reception. I collected them at the end of the day. Excellent service
Cons: Service inn the restaurant in the evening rather slow.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: The welcome cookie was well received - a lovely gesture and very yummy! The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean and spacious. Staff were friendly.
Cons: The air conditioning didn't work in our room on one of the hottest days of the year. This was reported to the reception desk who said they would send maintenance out. The toilet didn't always flush sufficiently to begin with but would after waiting and trying again.
Mediocre 3.8
Pros: Air conditioning
Cons: Staff in restaurant were uninterested and glasses from last night were not cleared away Food in the restaurant was poor
Excellent 8.8
Pros: just what we wanted
Okay 5.0
Pros: The food was delicious but the creme brulee had a soggy chewy top
Cons: The bathroom was dusty, grotty toilet flush, pathetic extractor fan, air con (?), lumpy mattress & loose headboard
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Comfortable bed, large room.
Cons: Breakfast could have been better, while there was nothing wrong with it.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Courtesy is the main stay of this hotel from front desk to the restaurants. My wife’s brother was sick in the hospital and he passed away. It was a difficult time for us and staying at this place was comforting.
Cons: Mone
