The location of the hotell by the seaside. The frendliness of the staff.
Very good selection of leisure facilities, and choice of eating/drinking sites. Sea for swimming very stony. Would be excellent if the stones were replaced with sand as the neighbouring hotel had done.
There are 2 buildings; 1 is in front of the street so is noisy. the other is better but with a bit more difficult access
Very cozy and big room, friendly staff, location just 2 minutes walking from sea
I like hotel staff, dinner. It is beautiful, that beach is very near to the hotel. Internet accsess was not very good.
Location, organisation, staff attitude, organised beach, receptionist very pleasant and friendly Not any bad points just few comments....variety of food was limited(buffet - dinner), drinks not included in half board, the roadsigns for finding the hotel not good were very confusing and should be removed.
Very good hotel. Extra large rooms with balcony. Clean. Modern. Food reasonable rather than excellent. Dinner is included in price. Located on own beach close to Cap Sounion and 47km from central Athens Set on hillside above beach, wheelchair friendly but somewhat steep.
Great location to and from the airport. Very comfortable clean rooms, friendly staff and restaurants had a descent variety of good food.
We could walk to the hotel from the airport. Rooms were large, clean and very nice.
I had to cancel travel plans for fear of safety in travel through Istanbul. The hotel refused to issue a refund.
This is the only hotel at the Athens Airport which is convenient for a one night stay. Luckily it is a very nice hotel and literally at the airport. It is also conveniently located on the train line to the city, Acropolis and other important sites which gives the one day layover traveler ease to the airport and all the main attractions. Enjoy
Cannot be closer to the airport than that. - The shower was leaking. The noise of the water falling on the floor woke me up all night. - The T.V. stopped working at midnight (?!) - There were hairs in the bath that were not mine. - They charged me 7 euros at the bar for a small bottle of water. I know it's supposed to be a luxury hotel, but come on.
The location is the primary reason we stay here. The center of Athens is nearly an hour away so being able to just walk across the street to the airport is priceless, especially for flights leaving at odd hours. Secondly, it is ever so comfortable and quiet. I can't think of anything we did not like. Obviously, it would be great if it cost less but "you get what you pay for".
Location, Friendly and helpful staff. Valet person was very held up I tumult to check u funds olVe for dinner and return rental car . Kudos to staff. Rooms need electronic upgrade, more receptacles, more light and Lise the cord to the remote control.
Walk across driveway and you are in the airport best bed I have ever slept on. No noise from the airport. Didn't like the food at their cafe. Asked for pizza with little cheese, and received undercooked pie swimming in cheese. Bathroom was nice, but showerhead was completely broken. Room was very tiny.
Great location and proximity to airport. Very convenient for early/late airport departures/arrivals. Nice lobby and restaurants. Rooms are Comfortable and clean, but a little dated and smelled of stale smoke.
Super convenient location and friendly, efficient staff; quiet and comfortable room Long, grim hallway
The location to the airport is fantastic, only the Grand Hyatt in DFW has a closer hotel to the ticket counter. Excellent, responsive staff.
Location Bit outdated but can't stay any closer than this
Brand new facility designed for business travellers with nice rooms and amenities. The location of the hotel is 10 km from the airport. Their shuttle does not run 1100-1500, but that is not noted in the hotel information. A cab will cost you 15 euro, or you can take the X95 public bus if you know what you're doing. The hotel staff is rude, only caters to business clientele. The AC does not go below 22C, making the room hot and humid even though it was only in the 60sF outside. The extra bed is not a bed, but a cot--we had better beds in much smaller European hotels. It's 15 minutes on the shuttle to get here--stay in another Greek hotel and spend 15 more minutes on the shuttle to get to the airport--you can have a better stay for less money.
Excellent accomodation, convenient to airport, excellent breakfast included in breakfast package. limited access to only 2 internet linked computers
Modern, staff was friendly, great shuttle service to the airport. We had an early flight, they had coffee and cakes waiting at 3:30 in the morning prior to our departure. Coffee and fridge not stocked. Shower didn't work at first. And we had single beds - was told no Kings were available - completely bummed.
The location is very convenient: only 10 minutes from the airport, without the excessive cost of the other hotel (the one which is right at the airport) Quick check in and out Courteous personnel, decent restaurant Room furniture is new, good looking and functional Shuttle to/from airport included (but not at night!) I ended up in a room for smokers because apparently there were no non -smoking rooms left. At night, the smell in the air was unpleasant. Do hotels still need to have rooms for smokers? The shuttle service to the airport does *not* cover the early -morning flights. Taxi is 30€
5 star hotel don't provide their transit guests shower or earlier check in.
Please write at least 15 words I stayed in a room with a connection door between the two rooms, so I could hear every word of my neighbours.
The rooms were big and clean. Did not offer value for money, the shuttle did not operate at all hours and breakfast was not included. The hotel was overpriced.Complementary services such as massage were not free and should have been for the price that was paid. The hotel is a 4 star hotel, not a 5 star hotel as was claimed.
Clean, comfortable room The bar and restaurant were extremely over priced for the quality of food and service.
Very nice hotel with good sized rooms. Staff was very accommodating with booking a cab for us at 500AM for our early flight at 625. We ordered room service and the food was delicious! The airport shuttle only starts after 530am so we will had to pay for a 28 Euro taxi. This was not advertised anywhere. But still for overall cost, value and convenience it is worth staying here!
The Holiday Inn is a nice hotel close to the airport which is why we chose it since we were just passing through on our way home. The rooms are clean, well appointed and nice for a business hotel. They have a shuttle that picks you up and takes you to the airport which most hotels do not have. The resturant was over priced and the menu looked not appealing. There are no other resturants around the hotel making you either have to go to the airport for a meal or downtown which could be expensive if you take taxi
Easy to locate. Clean, modern facilities. Room was very comfortable and restful. Three issues: 1. I sent an e-mail asking questions and it was never answered. 2. The web said that there was suttle transportation to and from the hotel....It was hard to find and did not run early enough for us toe use in the morning resulting in a significant and unexpected cost. 3. I think 12 km is quite a bit farther from the airport than I expected. I would recommend the hotel but would make sure that the person knew the facts....not close and no reliable suttle service.
large room, close to airport Food too expensive, bring a bottle of wine and some cheeses and have a picnic. Also, the Ecko petrol stration has some good sandwiches and beer/wine
The room was quiet, service personal friendly They never changed the glass I was dring water from day one to when I left (4th day). Dust on the bathtub, very expensive for such a country, location and this time of the year. No restaurants around. Food at the hotel extremely expensive, example: a main dish (small one) with a bottle of Greek wine (no half bottles exists on the menu) 45 €.
Breakfast was very good international standard, the location at the beach is beautiful, staff is very friendly. There was no information available at the rooms about swimming pool, hamam, sauna etc. And the windows are not as noise-protecting as expected at a 5 star hotel.
Only the beach staff who were from Romania and a receptionist called Katerina. She should get a bonus for her excellent service. The size of the beds and the rooms, the service during breakfast, lunch and dinner, the prices which are too high compared to equivalent hotels in Spain and France, th education of the staff on how to make a cappuccino and red martini, include quite zones for people without children. The Cypriot manager of the Italian restuarant in the evenings was very rude despite his extended experience. Overall, this hotel has a long way to go.
everything was perfect none
View, beach and room service are good. They forgot wake up call that I specifically asked for upon check in. I almost missed my flight. People over there are running different clock than US standard.
the location, design, clearness, price, style
friendly staff, nice place, excellent breakfast During our breakfast the F&B manager had a fight with his team which was not very pleasant for us to hear them
Excellent hotel facilities and very friendly staff and service Muzak in the main restaurant was repetitive - somebody needs to buy a few more tapes !
Hotel staff was very good and he breakfast was superb wi-fi did not work, no spa or gym, only one restaurant
The beach and the ground in general The rooms a bit narrow
The location, splendid view on Posedion temple. The service was very poor for this type of hotel. It was impossible to change the room ( I agree to pay more). Prices at pool bar (30 Euros for a simple burger). Hunting season! hunter shoots at 50 meters from 7 AM to 6 PM and for the staff it is normal.
Great location. Great hotel. We also looked at Aegon Hotel, and Grecotel is a lot better. Great outdoor swimming pool area and beach area. The indoor swimming is a bit small though, it is more a spa than a swimming-pool. However, hotel prices for drinks and food are really expensive. There is good taverna a few kilometers down towards Lavrio. But not much in Sounio. Prices at the restaurants.
Relax, Relax, Relax.
I liked the atmosphere , the service , the facilities , the food around the swimingpool , the weather , the spa , the fact that children can enter the warm pool at the spa , in short - heaven . The buffet dinner is too expensive and it does not make you feel that you get value for your money . the food is good the service is nice , but no one (adult or child) can eat that much . so you eat very little and you pay a lot of money and you feel that it was not the best idea to dine at the hotel dinning room
POsition, space and views Too expensive for meals - very overpriced for dinner,
Very nice location, amazing beach, helpfull & polite staff. We also dinned in which was very nice. Privacy was an issue since the ones that stayed next to us could pass by our balcony to access their room.
Fantastic area, in a lovely pine forrest, and so close to a great beach. Brilliantly landscaped with Greek flora. Great atmosphere for nature lovers, peaceful and relaxing. Bungalows have a feeling of being secluded in nature. Rooms are comfortable and with a lot of character. Restaurants are overpriced
In my opinion the reason to stay for at least one night at Cape Sounio is the magnificent point - location. The night view of the ancient temple (illuminated) while you enjoy your drink or meal at the terrasse cannot be described, you have to feel it. I booked a room for two. We arrived with my little daughter and I was informed that the only available option for accomodating her in the same room was to change room. The rate difference was +60%, while I was expecting it to be in the range of +10% to 20%.
Hotel focilities were very good, as well as the location. Furthermore, the room was very nice and relaxing.
Rooms were nice. There are no changing/shower rooms in case you have a late flight...staff completely useless in helping us out
One of the most beautiful location you can find in Greece. Excellent value for money. Great views from our room. Staff very helpful The bath in the room was probably the smallest and most uncomfortable i have ever encountered. Really really hard to shower without flooding the bath. Breakfast just ok
proximity to the airport and to a great beach, view of the temple of Poseidon and comfort of the room. There is no denying the hotel is a blot on an otherwise beautiful landscape.
The hotel is on the very beach with a view of all the rooms on the sea. Nice room with a balcony. They serve a very good breakfast with a great variety of products on a terrace overlooking the sea and the Poseidon Temple. Nice and helpful staff. They keep the beach and the hotel surrounding clean. There was nothing we disliked about the hotel. The hotel, however, is not suitable for those who want to stay in the hustle of a summer resort with a night life. This hotel is detached from "the civilization". Two tavernas next to the hotel.
It feels like you are at home. Everybody is very polite and helpfull. The location is perfect, right under the temple of Poseidon, literally on the beach and at night it is even more romantic. I will come back definetely.
The hotel was wonderful in almost all aspects. The main reason for our stay here was the incredible view of the Aegean Sea and the Temple of Poseidon on the hill next to the property. The hotel clerk was incredibly friendly and helpful. I would come here again and again.
The location, the views, the style and comfort of the hotel's lobby, restaurant, and rooms. Nothing.
Comfortable room, spectacular sunset Beach facilities where very crowded on Sunday, no special areas for hotel guests
It was almost empty! End of the season
The location!!! All rooms have great beach view and the beach infront of the hotel is excellent. Better to have a car as location is far from centre.
Beautiful views and excellent food. Both the breakfast buffet and the dinner buffet offered a wide choice of dishes.
Nothing Staff attitude, misleading information, terrible meals,
Fabulous pool and facilities. The internet was only available at 4 Euros per hour - absolutely ridiculous. Internet access in 2010 is like water - its expected - and very few places charge for internet anymore and the cost at this hotel was very excessive. Bar drinks were also over priced. The food is OK but not great.
It is close to the airport is why we booked it, great sea view, in the height of summer it would be lovely. we did not like being told that it was winter and that at the resturant they had two choices for dinner, beef and chicken. we are vegetarians and had very limited food choice if any.
Clean. Nice staff This hotel IS NOT an "airport" hotel as I had thought. It was almost 30 minutes from the airport and it cost me $60 US by cab to get back to the airport. Also not really enough food facility available and in a rather isolated area where I had to walk 25 minutes at night to find a place to eat
The view from the room Arrived at 7 pm. No evening meal, I was offered a club sandwich which was covered in stale crisps and was itself inedible. Breakfast the nest morning was scheduled for 8:30 but did not materalise. I attempted a walk by the beach but was persued by a pack of stray dogs. It was all a bit run down and seedy. I had wanted to use the hotel as an slightly out of town cheaper alternative to airrport accommodation but the taxi fares there and back made this a waste if time
View was beautiful and easy access to their beach and pools Too far from city center (~1 hour) and there are no shuttles that would bring you there. You had to order a taxi each time.
This hotel turned out to be a Club Med, and once I understood that it was easier to deal with the staff. Generally the staff spoke French well; some spoke English fairly well. The location is not bad if you need to get to Athens airport quickly. It can be noisy as people are largely there to vacation. No online access in the rooms, but email access was available in the lobby. The place is a resort and tends to book large groups, so be aware of that if planning to eat in the restaurant. All meals are self-serve unless you order a sandwich at the bar.
The location (near to airport), the looks of the hotel, the sea shore, the staff, the food (especially the Italian Dinner), the beautiful view from our room Althogh high temperatures, the hotel did not operate the air condition! Their poor explanation was that some people like heating and some like cooling, so they didn`t turn on the air condition at the hotel at all! Never heard such a pretext. Unfortunatly, it was very hot in the room, so we had to open wide the balcony doors, but it was very noisy outside at the swimming pool until 2-3 a.m., and there were also bothering mosquitos. At short, we could not sleep that night! We think that for that sum of money we paid, we were entitled to get some air condition ( a thing we got in much more cheaper hotels).
Worst stay in a hotel for some time, Overpriced, arrogant reception, mediocrity rules throughout, Worth of 2 stars not 4 and certainly not good value, Go somewhere else is my summary Maintainence of hotel, Charge for use of indoor pool area, Tired bathrooms, Package holiday feel but high prices charged
it's an ok hotel for someone who wants to spend a week in a packed resort The reason we picked the hote was the location ("15 min from the airport") but in fact is far away from athens airport, from town taxis didn't want to take us there and the cost of the taxi was outarageous. Generally speaking not a place to stay for a single night on your way out of athens.
