A very personal, individual experience. Everything was done with care and showed character. Highly enjoyable.
Good bed. Coffee & breakfast. Very good location, on the fringe of the centre. Traditional property with window roller shutters. Aircon.
This is a traditional property with stairs. Average shower, but ok.
A very friendly welcome by the owner with tea and explanations to the city A very special, big, room and bathroom with much attention to the details. A comfortable bed! It's almost a pitty to go out! Beautiful breakfast room and delicous breakfast. A great place!
The house is a beautiful old gentlemen's house for the high class people back in the day. The entrance is old Renaissance and the rooms more art deco-ish with bakelite radios and 60s dressoirs. The breakfast room is more or fashioned with nice plates and silver cutlery. The rooms are clean, but the gravy curtains and carpet flares up my allergies slightly. The bathroom is large and had both a shower and bathtub. The owner and his wife are extremely friendly 5 minute walking distance to Central station and 20 minutes from city center All in all a wonderful place to stay in Antwerp, would come back again Then you Luc!
A bit pricey
Loved the friendliness and the hospitality of the owners; Luc showed us where to go and what to see and spent a bit of time introducing us to Antwerp. We loved the warmth and ambiance of the entire property, and our very comfortable room - complete with large bathroom which included a huge bathtub and a sink on either side of the tub, and a separate shower. The bed was very large and very comfortable. Breakfast was wonderful and included excellent coffee, croissants, soft boiled eggs and a host of other choices all artfully arranged. Ideal location and very walkable from the train station to the B&B - less than five to seven minutes. We could easily walk to Meir (main shopping area) and to the old town district, and the rest of the downtown district of Antwerp and back without it being tiring at all. The B&B is in a very good location. Thank you to Luc and Carmel for being such warm, gracious and kind hosts.
We were on the fourth floor, and though it was perfectly fine for us, it might be a bit of a challenge for people with lung or mobility issues.
