The view of the sea! Very comfortable bed, fantastic cuisine!
Scenary landscape, nice staff and very good cuisine
The bed was the biggest bed I've ever seen and the view from the balcony was amazing! Great pool and deck, it was so peaceful it was a most like we had it to ourselves - just wished we could have stayed longer! The only part we did not like was the breakfast, at 25€ each it was v poor. We went down at 9.30 and there was no bread, milk, plates or croissants left, and that was pretty much all ther was anyway. We didn't have it a second time.
Great location by the sea and the beach. About 10 minutes by car from downtown Ajaccio. View of the sea from the room and empty fridge to store your drinks and food. We enjoyed our stay at the Pinède. A bit old fashioned.
location, large room, friendly staff
The lovely pool, helpful staff. A bar or perhaps light snacks wouldve been useful.
Nearness to Ajjacio - efficiency of staff - good memory - we stayed there twice and general pleasantness While parking was fine in some ways additional parking and advice would be beneficial when two carparks are fully occupied -suggest that staff try to persuade motorcyclists to park better so as to maximise parking for motor cars.Air conditioning ould be a great plus Our Room on second occasion was in attic- second floor - banged my 'ead on a couple of occasions -- no I am not suing the hotel but warning might be helpful
The parking is safe and the breakfast is good. In my opinion it is kind of overpriced for a 3* Hotel but then again you don’t have that much choises in Ajaccio.
Position near rail station and town and helpful staff. No
The staff was kind and helpfull. The room was clean and pleasent. In a convenient place in town.
The view on the harbor The elevator was broken…
The hotel overlooked the port, was very clean, the beds very comfortable, the rooms quiet and a good size, and it was very close to the main part of the old city as well as the gare routiere and the boats that ply between France and Corsica. Staff were friendly and helpful and it had it's own secure parking (6 euros) although I was able to get good parking in the street nearby. Plenty of cafes and shops nearby for anything you needed. Wifi was also available. Didn't have jug in the room for late night/early morning drink (but this is common in French hotels)
Close to city centre and port
The reception staff were charming and welcoming and the breakfast a good choice. Near the station and bus stop for the airport. The flies on the food at the breakfast bar were a bit off-putting! Why could it not be covered?? The heating in the room could have been better organised. When I was there the weather was wet and cold but there was no real warmth. Building noise during the day was irritating.A long way from the Old Town.
The front desk staff (I arrived at 9PM) were very helpful and aided me with small details like getting bottled water and setting up my internet needs so I could settle in quickly and get some rest. As a general rule, Corsicans are very pleasant and helpful, but the hotel staff had a little extra helpfulness in their attitude and I appreciated it. My room was modern, comfortable and clean. As stated above the location was NOT special, but being near to the rail station and ferry port helped me coming and going. I arrived by rail and departed by ferry and the Mercure was a fairly priced and well situated hotel for my single over-nite, quick in&out needs. I am an American senior traveling for pleasure, but I could also see this was a fair priced international businessman's hotel.
Clean and smart bathroom. Relative convenience for walking round the city, and accessing from main road. Good tv package. Lack of restaurant, not even coffee machine. No refreshments in room. Noisy, if ventilation preferred, besides main road.
Friendly, helpful staff. Clean, comfortable rooms. Lovely swimming pool. Good restaurant. Excellent value for money.
Ideal position for continuing our exploration of Corsica. Finding room was difficult - numbering system not clear. Parking difficult due to steeply sloping site, and parked coach.
very steep climb to the facilities not for the disabled person
I had only a short stay there 2-nights before travelling home. Real corsicanian atmosphere and hospitality. Nice green place, wonderful view from the windows. Spaciuos room, kitchenett, clean new linen and towells. The breakfast good and plenty. It is not a shortcoming of the hotel itself but just to mention: not too easy without your own vehicle, e.g. sea beach ~1 hr by foot (checked!).
Very friendly staff; very easy to find when driving from Ajaccio airport; located in beautiful surroundings; laid back atmosphere Hotel room (especially the bathroom), although clean, was in great need of maintenance (cracks in the wall, light bulb and wiring hanging out of the wall, wall tiles coming off, etc). Had the impression that nothing was fixed or redecorated since the early 80ies. No mini fridge on room.
Location , quietness and cleanliness of the room Meal for dinner
I stayed only one night. Arrived very late, however, I was able to contact someone, who guided me with the directions. Most appreciated.
The hotel was fairly basic but the restaurant was excellent. We had the breakfast and dinners every day but one and that was only because we had a day away. Like all hotels, from my wife's point of view, poor lighting and a lack of a mirror in the bedroom for doing the make-up and power points for hair drier etc.
nice friendly hotel, good view and very romantic atmosphere
ok, for one nite
The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Traditional continantal breakfast. Beautiful view out of the bedroom It is a fair distance from the ferry and an expensive cab ride, but very close to the airport
Very comfortable and big room; excellent breakfast and friendly staff No bad point in fact, just one thing I didn't appreciate : for me there is no need of a television in the breakfast room.
We loved our room overlooking the harbour. Great bathroom, clean and tidy and the staff were very patient with us as our French was very bad but they were so nice and tried to accommodate us in every way - breakfast was very adequate for us and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay during the WRC Championships! Thank you for the poster from your front door - it was 'nursed' all the way back to Australia! Loved the hotel but was hard to find when you arrive by bus from the airport but once we got a more credible map of the city from another hotel we found it easy! Don't go by the map from the airport!!
The lady on reception when we arrived was extremely helpful.
The pool is nowhere near as big as the picture on this site suggests, and there is very little room for more than a hndful of people around it, plus it is a good hike just to get to it. Staff didn't seem to be very interested, and our triple was actually two rooms put together with one of the bathrooms unusable due to pending renovations (?) but no indications of that from the staff.
Lovely location overlooking the harbour. Room was basic, but perfectly comfortable - we were just there one night in transit to a cruise. Wonderful buffet breakfast included in price of room with attentive, friendly staff. Fold out bed for third person in room was very meagre. Not comfortable for adult.
Very helpful staff They should offer non-smoking rooms.
Ok hotel, if you don't spend time in it. We spend all our time down town and only slept in hotel. No safe in room, sliding door to baloncy won't lock, hotel staff had little English. No double room after I request one. Got twin instead
We enjoy this hotel even that it was around 20 min to go to centrum. We specially enjoy that our boy (13 year old) had his own room with his own balcony. In our room uit was a smell in the toilet that wasn`t good!
The hotel is very nice. Is a little bit far from dowtown, but is too easy to go dowtown. The people qre very nice, it has a wonderful swiming pool. Everything is OK!
Nice, big rooms Long distance to the city center
The room was large, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was ample and excellent. The hotel is a substantial distance from the town of Ajaccio. It's a very long walk. However, travel by cab or by a bus is available and reasonably priced.
Very nice staff. Wonderful breakfast. Great village in the mountain but have to have car to get there and take 20 min by car from Calvi NO
The swomming pool. Prices for garage.
Good except for the distance from city centre. The website should not state that the hotel is close to the City Centre. That's quite a stretch. The hotel itself is fine. Staff is responsive and attentive. Breakfast was good.
Clean and new rooms. Easy to access and uncluttered view. Location is a bit off the main city.
We are a family of 4 and had interconnecting rooms. It was really great and spacious. Very clean and had several towels per person. Breakfast : varied and good. Staff was helpful. You cant hear people walking in the corridor. The swimming pool was fairly small but clean however the beach is not far. It is great if you need to catch a flight as the airport is nearby. Overall, it is a bit far from the center but if you have a car or take a taxi, it is not an issue.
It has a small but relaxing swimming pool. It is a decent although a bit standardized hotel.
excellent hotel, very well located for connection to airport. Friendly service.Close to centre of town.
Hassle-free and in the middle of the city. Easy walk to bus and train stations.
Super Stone wall rehabilitation (but electric shutter traitement was not efficient) no windows 's cotton ( like in England !! )but we are in a Mediterraneen area : I'm both mediterranean &celtic women too.
location you needed to hold the shower head to have a shower
Great breakfast, friendly man at reception
Very friendly staff, nice room, central location Small room, no parking places nearby
No thrills but professional.
The equipment was above the average for this kind of hotels. In our room there wasn't the router for the wi-fi and the staff didn't care much about it.
Good central location
Very nice breakfast
As both my partner & I have only limited French, we particularly appreciated the hotel staff's linguistic skills. We also thought that being able to leave our ( very ) large rucksacks at the hotel reception for an hour or so after checking out, was a very nice gesture.
Although the hotel is nicely situated if you wanna be in the center of ajaccio nothing too special about it. Extremely small room! My husband and I took turns to get ready since we couldn't move at the same time.
Staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable when it came to shopping and restaurant recommendations. Room was extremely small. AC did not work. Areas of the room were in disrepair, especially bathroom. Would not consider this to be a three star hotel.
Good location, close to the port and shops. Air conditioned room.
Convenient for city centre and port. Just off busy road so fairly quiet.
Nice hotel; central, good rooms, very helpful staff. Can't say a word against it :-)
We stayed there for one night. The staff was very helpful and flexible, although we missed the first night after missing a ferry from Nice and checked in late on the second day. The rooms were very clean and comfortable.
Parking possible;central position;quiet,clean
Easy to find. Parking was not available (at all!) for two expensive motorcycles; the bar was not open - asking for some drinks at reception, we could have beer or wine, no gin and tonic.
We stayed at Ajaccio only one night, we arrived early but they kept our luggage to allow us to walk in the city. Staff were very nice, called for a taxi the following morning. We haven't tried the breakfast but friends told us it was very good. Breakfast not included, for that price it was surprising.
Friendly staff, location was good, and rooms were an adequate size No English speaking TV channel, no shower curtain, was a little expensive for the basic facilities provided, and Breakfast charged extra
Comfortable, spacious and efficient and very friendly staff that all speak English very well.
charming location and room
Very nice hotel, standing on the coastline, but by having its own beach, little garden and terrase with pretty seaview, staying there feel like being far away from town. Simple, but very pleasant room with big bathroom and french window (street view). Free Wi-fi was only in the lobby and on terrase - signal was not enough to catch it in the room.
The hotel was stylish and very clean. All the staff were polite, friendly and courteous. Lack of service after 22.00 hours. It would have been nice to be able to have coffee on return in the evening. We appreciate that we knew beforehand that dinner was not served.
fantastic views and friendly anhelpful staff none
Very friendly staff. Very welcoming hotel. Stayed in (infamous) Room 22. Own patio very nice but not sure how this would work with guests in adjacent Room 23. (Understand owner places visitors working for them in this room. Not sure what happens in high season. We saw no-one although room was occupied for two nights.) Breakfast too dear and in rather soulless room. Did not try. Went over road for excellent cheap breakfast (6 euros each) in nearby restaurant (Parc).
Good location by bay/beach; nice, though not large, swimming pool; pleasant room with character; good, modern bathroom; helpful staff; generally peaceful, relaxing atmosphere Lack of restaurant/cooked food is a problem, given location out of town centre, particularly out of season when local restaurants are limited.
Nice setting by the seaside.
Very attractive outlook over the sea. Good facilities.
The location of the hotel is wonderful. It is in the old district of the city, and there are number of restaurants and cafes nearby. Finding a parking spot can be very difficult.
the view from the hotel room
It was clean and very handy to the old part of town and beach which was of interest to us. We had an early flight and had trouble getting out as the front doors were locked and even tough we advised them of an early flight out and were told that reception was manned 24 hours a day
Very friendly and englishspoken staff, very close to restaurant and shopping areas and close to the city beach (100 m.) Parking house Diamant very nearby - a little expensive (apx 14 Euro/day) - but convinient. A bit noisy outside, garbage containers located close to the hotel, and the garbage truck did start quite early to empty them (apx 05:30). Then the local traffic started apx 07:00 – and even with the window closed, you could not manage to ignore it. The noise reduction between the rooms wasn’t too great either. Air con didn't work. Our bathroom was a little too small, and when you showered there was no shower curtain, and all floor got wet. Lacking hair dryer. One of the rooms dind't have fridge. Breakfast was a little scattered, and even if it was relatively cheap, it was not worth the price of 9 Euro.
The view from the window was spectacular; we had chosen the room with a sea-view. The staff were fantastic; very friendly and helpful. The location was superb; close to a small beach as well as the main stretch of restaurants / cafes. The room was tiny; we were banging off the table as we went around the bed. They probably could remove some of the furniture. The room needed redecorating. I would have said it was more like a 2-star than 3-star, but otherwise was fine.
The room had a jug! Next best asset were the women who clean the rooms and the older, but not the younger, reception staff were very helpful. Also, the position of the hotel is excellent for visiting Ajaccio. The hotel was extremely expensivefor what was offered and in very poor condition. It is sinking under its need for refurbishment, Parking nearby is expensive and almost impossible to find ( and this is out-o- season)
Good reception Having only French TV channels.
Very friendly reception, good value breakfast, quiet citadel-side room, useful use of internet. Excellent all-round No
Very good location close to the beach and old town. Free internet access.
Price Very basic room, just located above the lobby
great location right on the beach, lovely pool and outside terrace for breakfast. Good food and nice lounge area. friendly helpful staff. bedroom a little dated and damp in the bathroom with very limited towel rail space to put wet swim stuff and towels. heated towel rail and or hook on back of door would help.
Only the view run down condition of the complex
The hotel is in a great position overlooking the sea and close to several beautiful beaches. However, the rooms and facities are very basic and they are in need of a real overhaul. Breakfast and food in general was over priced. Bt good value for money, especially the air conditioning!
For those who love the simple half-savage holiday by the sea far away from noisy civilization
Maybe nice for people who want to stay over there for a short time (1 night) or people who just want spend hollidays at the beach Location far away from everything / Not very typical for Corsica there are so many better places / Expansive (70€/per night) for its place
New hotel not far from the sea coast. Very nice and cosy rooms, very clean. Rooms are with the see view, but the ones with garden view are also nice, quite with see, fresh air. Perfect french breakfast with the terrace.
the vieuw over the seaside paying for breakfast
The 2-bedroom apartment was a good size for two adults and a small child. It was well appointed and had all the facilities we required. The sea views across to Ajaccio were fabulous and was in good proximity to good beaches.
The whole experience was delightful. The elevated location is superb, with huge views of the whole Gulf of Ajaccio, and just a 10 mins walk from the beach but yet set back from the main road so there is no traffic noise. The exterior is modern and tasteful, the interior spacious. My room was quite simply furnished but both modern and large, with very good bathroom. The buffet breakfast was excellent, with a large choice. The staff were friendly and helpful. The swimming pool is large and clean. There is free parking on site. No lunch or dinner served, but there is a first class and inexpensive restaurant named Chez Alain just 2 kms away on the main road in the direction of Porticcio and Ajaccio. There are many fine beaches nearby also. No.
1. The location of the Hotel Kalliste Molini is indeed wunderfull. Further we stay in room number 4 and really appreciate the view of the sea from bed :-) 2. It seems to be that the Hotel was quite recently fully renovated and therefore the furnishing is new and high-quality. 3. The hotel staff member are very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, it has to be mentioned that in front of the Hotel a new swinning pool (looks like a pool) is in construction. Hence, in the morning during the week its getting a little bit noisy. According to my oppinion it was not that problem but at least a note in the hotel description in order to inform the guests in advance is necesarry and desirable.
Location, room. A little bit noisy because of parking area under the window. The pool was repairing which is again noisy and generally strainge within the high season.
wonderful position, great pool and balcony rooms. Nicely old fashioned feel - good free internet and superb views. The non balcony room was small and faced the road, not the garden as advertised. It was noisy at times and very hot (no air conditioning). The staff seemed to be a gang of young people who took little interest in our welfare. I also did not like them using the pool with their friends which they did very noisily and with little or no regard to paying guests. The staff were not interested in our complaints about the noisy hot room: they said 'no one else has ever complained'.
A beautiful hotel with wonderful views of the bay. The swimming pool was especially nice and the quality of the materials used was exceptional. not really.
Very friendly and helpful personnel, especially the owner's help was greatly appreciated when he showed me the directions to get to the Porticcio harbor
nice view. very kind staff.
Location, friendliness of staff Breakfast was very basic
Next to the beach Poor breakfast
hotel staff really kind, good breakfast, nice terrace with view over the city close to a big road too noisy during the night
We stayed at the hotel only overnight on our travels around Corsica but our stay was very comfortable and the staff were great even though we speak very little French we managed to get along great with them all. We ate in the Hotel restaurant and once again it was very nice we travelled on to Italy from corsica but not find Carbonara like the one served at the Spunti De Mar. The Bury Family
Convenient position, near the beach
Easy to find from the airport.Car parking no problem. Check in till midnight. Good, helpful, friendly reception. Good breakfast without frills. An excellent night stop. Small bath and basic shower. Traffic noise
It is very clean and nice hotel! Much better then some 4* hotels in Cannes for example. Staff very polite and nice. Rooms pretty big, toilet very clean and huge!! All in all perfect hotel for people who won't stay only in Aiaccio, but who'd like to visit Corsica. It is quite far from the city centre (45min walk)
Wonderful hotel, staff, rooms and view. Bit poor breakfast
Closenest to port and swimming with fishes in clear sea water
good, convenient location between airport and city. decent rooms, with very nice, recently renovated bathrooms. some smaller details: WiFi is not working great, breakfast buffet is ok, but not fantastic. but generally - and for the price - this is a very good choice.
