Beautiful hotel & room - everything absolutely impeccable
Great location, in front on the castle. Very big rooms. Good price.
Very good location a short walk from the station and just across a square from the Palacio and gardens. Central and close to restaurants etc. If we had known how much there was to see in Aranjuez we would have stayed for two nights rather than one. Totally recommend.
No breakfast before 7am.
Staff welcome very professional. Room was excellent. Service overall was first class. Breakfast buffet was one of the best we have experienced. Hotel parking costs were expensive and unkown to us there was free parking available around the Hotel area.
Car parking costs extra!
good location to amenities, had secure underground parking although very expensive, only stayed the one night as was travelling through. when we booked on the site it said only 3 rooms remaining but hotel was empty, no bar open, also outside across the square there is a resturant called Godoy that is very nice unless you have the specials offered by the waiter, we did and they charged us 168 euros for a starter.
Excellent position, comfortable room, good breakfast, helpful staff Limited facilities due to refurbishment of dining room - a sense that this hotel did not offer such good value as others we expereinced
Very efficient and noiseless air-condition - very good. Rooms are very comfortable and give a quite spacious impression because they spot ultra high ceilings of around 4 meters. A 4 star house like these, especially if situated in Spain, should have a pool.
The location of the hotel was right outside the Palace, shame about the residential building right next door that was covered in graffiti - we couldn't get our vehicles into their underground carpark as we have land rovers so we had no choice to use the on street carparking - which there was spaces to do but the area made us a bit cautious. To be fair nothing happened to the vehicles so all was well. A short walk away was town where we could get food and drinks, unfortunately the hotel restaurant was shut for the entire month of August so that was a bummer but its short term. Hotel was really gorgeous and I would stay there again though.
comfort, cleanliness, central to local town. Good food and good service. Check in procedure was easy and efficient. We were offered an upgrade to a more spacious room with balcony overlooking the golf course for only 20 euros per night. Well worth the extra. the cost of WI FI was in my opinion expensive at 6.50euros per hour
Lovely big room and huge bed, excellent restaurant and service The room could have been slightly cleaner
Stayed with our son and his girl-friend. Excellent rooms, plenty of space, very clean and good facilities. Minor point that no facilities pool side, but no big deal. Planning further stay mid october - good mid point between ferry ports in the north and costa del sol.
Room clean and modern, good kids play facility, breakfast excellent Food in the restuarant pricey for what it is, buffet is better. outside pool not available out of season. Kids not allowed in spa facilities.
Friendly staff who went the extra step to help and assist. Good sized and very clean rooms. Good breakfast A bit too far out of town - a taxi ride rather than a walk
The hotel was situated in a quiet area. The site was too remote from the town centre but was the only one available with parking facilities.
poor room temperature controls and lack of dining options
The spacious room was excellent and not a sound from the corridor or other rooms. Safe covered parking. Reception and bar staff excellent, but housekeeping was very lax. Bathroom floor not cleaned and bed not made up on second day.
I think a trouser press would be useful,I also think that,if you wish to attract international travellers you should have a couple of English channel on the TV besides the news.Otherwise the hotel was good and the staff were very helpful, thank you.I have stayed in the Stirling highlander Hotel in Scotland which is a Barcello. No.
large rooms easy parking very good breakfast 10 min. drive from centre
I liked that they offered free WIfi, I was expecting it to be wireless, but you needed to connect, but besides that this was very useful. The location of the hotel was great, only concern, not enough lighting in the bathrooms, Not a sound proof room, so when other guest come in late, the ego in the hallways is very loud, and this happens quite often making it difficult to sleep, especially if you are jet lagged
Good location. Good beds. Spa bath was very welcome after walking for hours! Decore is tired, especially in rooms and some ground floor areas eg broken floor tiles.
The room was warm and comfortable. The restuarant was closed, it did not state ths on the internet. No tea or coffee making in the rooms.
Very near the Palace
Spa Bath - Front Windows - Balcony No
The bar and restaurant were both warm and welcoming on a wet November night. The breakfast was excellent - individually cooked bacon and eggs!
Staff were friendly and helpful, hotel very clean and well situated in town Only thing I didn't like was the beds in the double room were two single beds pushed together I prefer one double bed, plus the beds were very hard and uncomfortable.
A very pleasant hotel at excellent location with very nice staff (I would advice only better knowledge of foreign languages).
Courteous and helpful staff, clean hotel, great location, free internet connection Bar and restaurant closed for staff holidays, no secure parking
It was clean and just as described. The problem that we had with the toilet flush was fixed straight away.
Handicapped Accessible, comfortable & clean and good location
Clean, comfortable, nicely located. Room was close to reception and quite some noise from the corridor and the reception (phone!) could be heard.
Close to shops and restaurants. the room was kept spotless the smell of toilets in the reception
High room temperature and refrigerating system not functional.
Once I'd found it, it was OK It was too hot and short of opening the skyight fully I had trouble bringing the temparature down during the night. The paperwork I had gave the address as Egido Don Manuel and address as Principe, 71. I came by public transport and, mistakenly walked from the station. It took me an hour to find the hotel. I don't speak Spanish. I kept asking for Egido Don Manuel (thinking Egido was another word for hotel) and getting blank looks and for Principe,71 and getting the same. When I finally arrived on Calle de Principe there were few numbers and when I arrived at number 71 I found it was called Hotel Don Manuel. Branding gone mad. I suggest you give the name as Hotel Don Manuel and the address as Calle de Principe, 71 to aid those of us with limited Spanish. Improved signage inthetownwould help too.
Good location, parking outside, rooms adequate but not overwhelming in any way. Places to eat walking distance. booked non smoking room and though marked as non smoking stank of smoke.
Easy walk to main centre, the Palacio & the gardens. No. It is in a good location & on street parking outside. This facility not flagged in the hotel info though.
Close to the main A4-E5 road south of Madrid. Good sized rooms. Helpful English speaking reception staff. Just little things like the knob on the shower diverter tap wasn't connected to the spindle, which created an unnecessary difficulty in taking a shower. We can never use the remote locking on our car because the frequency is jammed - probably by the nearby police station.
The room was a little too warm and I could not adjust the temperature.
Closeness to Aranjuez attractions Food in general not that good
Conveniently situated en route north on Madrid, close to town and palace. So good for exploring. We enjoyed our dip in the pool. Our room was comfortable and the bathroom was enormous. The breakfast was sad and not to be recommended.
It was quiet yet very near to all the main tourist attractions, we walked everywhere. A great stopover and well worth the visit
Location was excellent for an overnight stay, and to visit the city.
The room and bathroom were spacious and well equipped. Pleasant garden area and close to the town centre. Nice hotel but lacks atmosphere.
upon arrival looks ready for a facelift but inside very clean ,comfotable and staff very pleasant and helpfull.breakfast good ,would not hesitate to use again ,good on site parking ,handy to walk into town
Excellent location for visiting Aranuez and Palace. Useful as overnight stop travelling north/south, via Madrid. Very clean well furnished, stylish acccomodation. Lies between two busy roads. Needed to keep windows shut at all times.
good location. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food and wine very good value.
This is our third visit to this hotel. That says it all. We really like this hotel. Great location. Park up and walk everyhwere. The town is stunning. A world heritage site. Just so beautiful. Free parking at the hotel. Dog friendly. We plan to revisit in 2011. We have recommended this hotel to many friends ( with dogs) .
location, and access to a swimming pool the hotel was a little tired but very clean, and hotel staff were very nice, they could do more about advertising that the restaraunt is actually open there was no details about the restaraunt in the room
Basic but comfortable modern rooms. Looks family-run. Basic continental breakfast - nice and fresh. Great location. The staff could have been a little friendlier. Shower could have done with a light...
Very good location for the Royal Palace and the Gardens. Very good breakfast, elegantly served. No parking available, but plenty in the surrounding streets. Did not like the curtain partition to the bathroom from the room
The staff was very friendly, efficient and helpful. The suite was very nice. The telephone in my room would not call out of the hotel. I reported it but it did not get repaired during my stay.
The price was absolutely great in compare with the level of hotel. We expected something nice but the reality was better than our expectation. In standart room we had living room and bedroom, bathroom was large and everything was very comfortable. Personal was very helpful. Breakfast was OK, nothing special. No
nice suburb, shopping mall nearby, cosy comfortable rooms use of kitchenette cost EUR 30+ per day!!!! unbelievable. Parking and use of Wi-fi were expensive, too. Wi-fi not available in room, but in the corridors where there is little air condition.
No noice, big room, big bad, big TV... No hot water (max 40C') No internet if you have no laptop.
Location (near Warner Park) Front Office personel.
Surprised of poor breakfast quality (was in restaurant at 8:45!) practically nor more food and only one person to serve (no more clean dishes, only spanish speaking peronnel!!!) really deceived.Geeral confort: very good, big and clean rooms TV: have sone engish or french speaking channels Breakfast: more staff to help the only waiter and some english speaking one
The bed was comfortable and the room well appointed. There was NO HOT WATER. It was tepid. Therefore we were unable to have a bath or a hot shower. After travelling we only want a HOT bath, a COMFORTABLE bed and a QUIET room. We were allocated another room BUT although the water in that room was warmer it was still NOT WARM ENOUGH for us to have a comfortable bath. An engineer was called out to no avail. Water was still cool in the morning!!
No place to smoke Non smoking hotel
Beautiful parador and ideally located in the city center. Rooms too modern for parador style. A great plaza Mayor with possibility to dine on a balcony overlooking the plaza Mayor Not so much about the hotel itself, but during our stay the plaza Mayor was not so nice due to the build up of the podium for the bull fight later that week. That made the plaza Mayor for dining in the evening not the nicest place.
The atmosphare, location and the service There is no parking on site
This Parador is one of the most impressive I have stayed in. The 17th century Convent ambience has been remarkably preserved..... lucky nuns in those days!! The front-desk staff could benefeit from refresher courses in customer care and how to handle small problems without displaying sarcastic arrogance.
upgrade to a suit because they could not locate your booking at first. set in a beautifull town no
Garage was convenient but it took a couple of tries for us to understand the door system - two gates to pass through for security.
beautiful hotel in old convent in the nice village of Chinchon. we were very disappointed that although it was 27 degrees the swimming pool was closed due to 'end of season'.
Hotel in good location with excellent facilities quality of both dinner & breakfast were produced to a very high standard, we would strongly recommend this hotel staff were very helpfull No complaints at all
Good location for city visit, very kind staff, price is correct. We had a bedroom on patio side, quiet and pleasant. My friends had a bedroom on street side and it was noisy in the morning.
Lovely attractive courtyard, very friendly welcome, clean, comfortable. Central to everything. Peaceful, no problems, I would go again.
The location was good, the staff friendly and I absolutely loved the patio which we were invited to use as we wished. The room was big (and the bathroom huge) and although it overlooked the road outside there were no noise issues at all. If I booked again I would try and ask for a twin room. We found the double bed to be very small (in its huge room!) but that is not the hotel's fault: seems to be Spanish standard! Breakfast is included in the rate and I was looking forward to having it out in the lovely patio but it is served in what appears to be a public cafe at the entrance to the hotel and, unfortunately, smoking is allowed in the cafe so we just downed our tea/coffee and the one croissant that was offered to us (the alternative was toast) and beat a hasty retreat as we were surronded by locals puffing away!
Right in the middle of town. Wonderful courtyard. Staff great. Rooms pleasant and quaint. Airconditioning wonderful and appreciated! None
The staffs are kind I wish the hotel were arranged and clean as a public place.
The hotel has old Spanish charm and is conveniently located within walking distance to the Royal Palace and gardens. Free WiFi was included, and the staff was kind and recommended a great place for dinner.
Hostal was very clean, comfortable and friendly. The courtyard was a bit neglected.
we loved the spacious twin bedded room (enormous beds) light, cool, airy and relaxing. we also enjoyed having a drink in the inner courtyard.
lovely courtyard and free wifi connection, easy parking, near to palace and other historic sites, inexpensive, light breakfast included. Noisy, a bit worn.
All the personnel were very friendly and concerned with our happiness. While I understand energy concerns, I did not care for the exposed low energy light bulbs
Clean room, good tv and air-con
closed car parking (no need to get all the bags out of the car), decent rooms, decent breakfast Staff only speaks spanish (no english, no french, no german).
its location, near Madrid and nice little town to walk around in. Nice friendly receptionist no
The staff where very friendly and helpful, booked for 2 nights and stayed 14, very peaceful location and hotel, easy access to transport systems
Very pleasant room with good facilities Breakfast although cheap was disappointing in quality and choice
Expensive for what it is - but ok for an overnight stop
The bath-room design. The smell of cigarettes in non-smoking room was way too strong.
the beds are huge and comfortable!!! no-one spoke english
We were travelling with our two dogs & found your hotel to be ideal. Your staff were extremely pleasant & helpful. We would certainly recommend it to our friends & would be very happy to stay again should we be close to Madrid.
Large and airy Breakfast buffet not worth the money.
Excellent room and parking facility, spotless and location.
location brilliant, parking easy and not expensive, well appointed, room was a little noisy, but would request one overlooking garden next time!
the restaurant is not in the hotel
We found the hotel delightful, across the road from the Paradore and almost as luxurious. The staff are lovely. The hotel is about 100 yards from the famous Plaza where there are many restaurants. Currently reception offers a discount voucher for one of the restaurants.
Beautifully decorated hotel in the centre of Chinchon. Great value for money. As with previous recommendations, do try their restaurant - the roast lamb is superb!!!
We loved the town of Chinchon, and the location was very central. It had parking available The bathroom could have been cleaner. The night was warm, and it was too noisy outside to have the window open, and the air conditioning, although effective, was loud and disturbing.
No central heating in bathrooms
accommodating, friendly staff that took the extra steps to make sure we were well-taken care of. the room was tight for a family of four but comfortable
Very pleasent city
Excellent town centre location but still quiet, free secure parking beneath the hotel, good value for money.
cleanliness of hotel.immaculate. very few english speaking staff
decoration, style, comfort, restaurant food and service.
We choose this hotel because the location is excellent for us. This is the third time we have stayed at this hotel, the two times before have been excellent, however this stay was not so good, we were charged an extra 25euros for an extra bed for a child, which we did not mind but the bathroom had only 2 small hand towels and we had only 2 pillows in the room between four of us, luckily we had brought our own. The hotel staff were quite unfriendly and did not seem to be very child friendly. I do not think that I will stay again.
Free mini bar, free internet, great spa, absolutely no complaints You market this as a 4 star, but it is officially registered as a 3 Star (even though it probably deserves 4), so my complaint is with you rather than with the hotel
the service, like the free minibar. the breakfast was not included and it cost 9 euros. anyway, its a good breakfast.
new hotel /convenient for a business trip in the area / quiet also / very good in general I was given a large room but which was smelling tobacco. I asked for a new one and was given a ...much smaller one...kind of punishment as the hotel seemed far away to be full....at the restarant also empty when I arrived because I was alone I was given a single table ...the closest to the kithen entrance...
modern hotel. Excelent relation quality/price
the details... price ....
A delightful, affordable hotel situated south of Madrid. We have stayed here twice now on the way back from the UK. Having caught the ferry from Portsmouth to Santander, it's an ideal stopover on our journey back to Almeria. On this occasion we arrived at the hotel on a Saturday and found that the restuarant does not open until 9.00 pm. Which is very late if you're staying one night and travelling some distance the next day.
Modern and clean hotel.
Good, modern hotel with friendly staff. The nearby village has little to offer but the hotel is centrally placed for exploring the area
Handy, quiet location south of Madrid at a good price. Hotel easy to use for wheelchair guests. We have enjoyed two overnight stops at the hotel but on both occassions there has been an unpleasant smell in the bathroom of the disable friendly room that we use. Other rooms may be fine!
Modern quiet easy to get to No non smoking areas, including the restaurant
Room, breakfast and service. Location - slightly far from the attractions.
Its location for visiting Aranjuez and Toledo. Also nice rooms and comfortable beds. The breakfast served in the cafeteria. It was smokey from cigarettes and noisey from the workmen who came in for breakfast.
Inexpensive 4-star hotel with good restaurant. Location was too far from major tourist sights.
Restaurant, rooms, public areas a very noisy Hotel bar, dominated by "non residents".
The Restaurant The smell of drains in the Bathroom
smoking at the reception area.
Dinner and Lunch, Room
Clean and comfortable at a reasonable price. Helpful staff.
The staff were helpful and the food was pretty good
brand new hotel, great comfort, wonderfull value for money
clean rooms, free parking space, free internet, airco, friendly staff far from Toledo, breakfast wasn't much (in cafeteria next door)
fair price for a hotel in the middle of nowhere but close enough to Toledo beware of the restaurant. We had the menu del dia which was inedible
All the staff were bright and cheerful. The food was lovely in the bar was lovely. There were a few flies buzzing about.
the staff the walls were too thin, the hotel was too noisy
The hotel is a self-contained house built around an internal courtyard which gives a feeling of security. The rooms were a very good blend of old style and new facilities. It was hard to get the attention of reception when we arrived because the hotel was all shut up even though we arrived during the 1 hour period that we had indicated. However it was siesta time and the staff were very good after that.
