A lovely place, calm, attractive with great staff and a lovely pool and excellent restaurant No - it was a fabulous experience
Almost everything. The garden in particular (unusually extensive and varied for a small hotel in the centre of a town), and the way it was integrated into the experience of the hotel, and of course the pool. Also the feeling of being looked after by friends rather than merely served by hotel staff. And the food was good, too. Parking would be a problem for most guests (we were lucky to find a free space just outside the hotel, and we made sure we kept it for our two-day stay).
Decent value for money - but don't pay too much. It's a lower standard all inclusive. Many people had been there before, but said the recent changes weren't to the better. Although they liked the place. Very nice staff and friendly atmosphere. Ok pool-area. Simple but clean rooms. Rumour said the rooms on upper level were renovated. Worst is the noise. Not from the street, but from the corridor. The doors are so thin that you hear every sound and conversation from other guests. I had to check twice that the door was actually closed. The balcony doors can scare just anyone when opened and too hard closed. The food quality sometimes dip a lot, it's more like a swedish school restaurant. You get quite bored of the buffet after just a few days. The wine and beer self-served is not good at all, and who wants to drink it in small thin plastic cups? The bartenders didn't know the most common drinks. And as always, you get weak substitutes for real alcoholbrands.
