Pros: The food was amazing, super staff and very clean and silent room!
Pros: The lovely family. Thank you very much for everything. Very good hot shower, very good wifi, clean and tidy place, in quiet part of the village.
Cons: Great place.
Pros: This is a lovely guest house away from the busy parts of Bodhgaya. Naveen and co are wonderful hosts and made our stay very comfortable. It was also great to hear about the school project that is supported from the proceeds of the guest house. Great place to support.
Pros: Very comfortable place
Cons: Very nice guest house associated with a children's charity . Excellent happy place to stay in Bhodigaya.
Pros: walking distance to the temples, local shops and markets, friendly staff
Pros: A lovely, modest guest house with friendly, helpful staff. We had a spacious, clean room. The guest house is a 25 minute walk from main attractions or a short rickshaw ride. We enjoyed our stay here very much!

Set 2.5 km from Mahabodhi Temple, Ansari House offers accommodation with a garden, a terrace and a 24-hour front desk for your convenience. Both WiFi and private parking are accessible at the homestay free of charge. A bicycle rental service is available at Ansari House. Bodh Gaya Bus Station is 2.5 km from the accommodation, while Thai Monastery is 3.1 km from the property. The nearest airport is Gaya International, 12 km from Ansari House, and the property offers a paid airport shuttle service.
Pros: Ansari House is situated in friendly Sujata Village, just across the river from Bodhgaya. It is actually closer to the Mahabodhi Temple complex and many of the monestaries than most of the large hotels in Bodhgaya itself, especially if you short-cut across the dry riverbed (one of the children will show you the way). The accommodation at Ansari House is simple and sufficient, and you get a beautiful view across the river from the roof. The real highlight of my stay was spending time with Islam and his extraordinary family, and learning a little about real life in Bihar. Ansari House is not like other guest houses, and it is worth adding an extra day or two to your stay in Sujata Village to learn more. It may just change your life a little!
Cons: Nothing to comment
Pros: My journey to reach Bothgaya was a bit difficult so I arrived quite late to see the temple and I had only that night but Isilam was really very nice :.He went to meet me before I arrived he's house, to give directions to the driver and he took me to the temple by bike because I had only to hours left to have a look. On the top of this he's wife cook for me a very chick peas paratha. I had to take th train to Agra early morning and he also schedule for me the Rickshaw. Isilam is really a very good heart person and he walk the extra mile to make you feel confortable and at home.Hes wife is also very friendly and always with a smile. I would highly recommended thus place for everyone
Pros: Owner is very cooperative to my family. I have enjoyed my stay in bogh gaya. because of owner of Ansari
Cons: Owner is very friendly and cooperative to me
Pros: Mr.Islam and his wife are really hospitable, their kids are also all just amazing.
Pros: The share space is very good and nice view!
Pros: Ansari House is a perfect location for those who would like to experience a rural life in India. The location is great as it is a little bit away from the noisy and busy city. You can reach to the temple from house in 10 minutes through a very shallow river so forget Google Maps road. Islam is an amazing and very kind man who will make your stay very pleasant and you can feel almost like a family. I love what he does for children and for the community. The beds are comfy and there is also a kitchen where Islam's daughter can cook delicious meals for you. Would highly recommend this place!
Pros: Mr.Ansari is very helpful person and takes care of these street kids very well. Accommodation is nice and family-like.

Pros: Very Clean Perfect Staff very friendly Perfect English
Pros: Really friendly staff in a calm area but at short distance to local attractions. The staff was amazing every day. Suraj and the boys really enjoy their everyday and we spent nice days in Bodhgaya. The food was delicious we ate everyday in the guesthouse.
Pros: The room was very comfortable and clean, compared to Indian standards. The hostel is in a quiet village close to Bodhgaya (walking distance if you are not too lazy). The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Very minor suggestion would be to add a mosquito net on the door window to keep it open during the night.
Pros: Nothing to Like. Dirty, Smelling rooms, No WiFi, No TV, WE booked a Deluxe room and got a shirthole. Please avoid this hotel
Cons: Nothing to Like. Dirty, Smelling rooms, No WiFi, No TV, WE booked a Deluxe room and got a shithole. Thousend of Bugs in the room and the Manager dont Care anything. WE changed the room and got a dirty small room. No refund, nothing Please avoid this hotel
Pros: bathroom is clean...
Cons: drinking water is very bad... their is no sufficient drinking water.
Pros: Honestly, the staff cannot be beat in terms of hospitality. Very friendly and accommodating. They go above and beyond. The shop has nice items and is reasonably priced. Being able to choose from a wide variety books for reading is so nice too! The location is a bit far away from the main centre of things, so taking a rickshaw to temples and restaurants is a consideration. However, they are inexpensive and pretty readily available - you can walk five minutes or less to get one. Plus, being away from the centre means that it is nice and quiet! It’s refreshing to be away from the hustle and bustle. Finally, the view from the rooftop is stunning. Do yourself a favour and make sure you check it out.

Pros: Great Staff
Cons: Food service is little slow
Pros: We booked a suite and it was very good
Cons: The restaurant staff was not to attentive and service was poor
Pros: Ambience is good and food is also good
Cons: In Room service was too late to execute the orders.
Pros: Nice straff ....especially at dining hall : Mr. Sunil nice room with good view acceptable price
Cons: A bit far from Bodh gaya tree
Pros: The staffs are very friendly, active and ready to provide services whenever i requested something.
Cons: The smell from the sewage or bad smell gas from the pipe irritating me. I could smell it badly. Wifi could not be connected due to weak signal. The most i feel bad that your staffs who accepted my check in on 15 failed to give back my passport and kept in the drawer without informing me. I waa shocked as passport is very important to me. At breakfast, i could eat only omeette. No chicken sausage or non veg choice. Fruits looked unfresh. bowl of fruit salad is not properly cleaned. Pls recheck.
Pros: Food was decent and check-in and check-out was smooth.
Cons: Not too far, neither very close by to the Bodhi Temple, there is no public transport, there are e-rikshaw but may not be available outside the hotel, the hotel should provide options of hiring rickshaws for short distances as cab fares are exorbitant, I have never paid such taxi fares even in Europe. It's shameful on Govt that failed to provide basic transportation and this is how private providers are milking tourists. Pickup from the airport is 1200 rupees? For a distance of 6 km, it's a day light robbery...with the absence of other reliable means of transport you are at the mercy of hotel taxi service. Lastly, allowing armed gun men into the property seems weired not sure who are they protecting, I have been to many high end hotels and nobody seems to be allowing armed gun men into the hotels, it does not provide a good feeling to foreign tourists, making them feel unsafe.
Pros: The service was good . Everything was taken care of properly
Cons: Food menu could add up a little more variety
Pros: The hotel is very well maintained, the food was very good. The breakfast is sumptuous with a lot of variety. We had two dinners, one buffet and one a la carte. Both were very satisfying.
Cons: The service is a bit erratic-people are very nice and eager to please but, probably, under trained.

Cons: Nothing.all good
Pros: Staff is very cooperative and humble. Service is also good. Food was also good.

Cons: There was some construction noise but not too bad.

Mukesh at front office was exceptional on the hospitality front! Choice of food is good. Breakfast options are very nice and apt for a healthy meal to start your day with.

Unlike many hotels in India, our Driver was offered a bed in the Dormitory with bathroom facilities free of charge. Thank you for the kind gesture. This hotel is very close to the main Bodhgaya temple & we would certainly recommend to our friends.
Pros: Good Ambience and overall nice place to stay at Bodhgaya
Cons: Taxi fare high
Pros: The Location and ambience
Cons: charging extra during checkout, due to delay in prayer rituals in heavy rainfall..
Pros: located nearby Gaya temple. 5 min by Battery car ( 30-40 Rupee , one way). next to many temple with walking distance. Inside hotel have all you need. We order food from room service (price is high compare to outside but good taste and clean). Room is big and has hot water. Hotel accept credit card.
Cons: need to walk pass road with many cows ( but I think it is normal in Gaya area). Breakfast has very limit choice or non-vegetarian. But still have fired egg and boiled egg (with salt). Serve coffee and tee and also Banana.
Pros: Polite staff breakfast was personalized and quite good The location is unbeatable Right next to the Japanese and Bhutanese temples and still very quiet
Cons: Toilets outdated musty smell Everything else seemed ok
Pros: Everything about property
Cons: Breakfast could have better
Pros: Quality of food is good and Room service is good. Staff at reception is good
Cons: Location is remote and transport is not available. Taxi charges of hotel for Airport pick up and drop are exorbitant. Daily taxi charges of local sight seeing are also very high. Breakfast service is slow and staff is ill trained.

Pros: Cleanliness good Good quality is good Room service is very good Staff very cooperative
Cons: Tv should be improved Shower should be changed Toiletries quality improve Towels should be better Restaurant should improve
Pros: Room was large, clean and well appointed - Well above average. AC and Wifi worked well (slow but solid) Staff friendly Parking Good value compared to other properties in Bodhgaya
Cons: 1) Buffet breakfast (included) became picked over and messy and items were not kept warm and refreshed. ala carte options offered were of so-so quality. Staff tried hard to please us. 2) Not walking distance to areas of interest but we had our own transport .
Pros: Staff very helpful even if they could not understand English properly.
Cons: Sometimes the AC didn’t work properly. Also there was regular power cuts and it some 5 mins before the generator started.
Pros: The room is spacious and comfortable.
Cons: The restaurant service is poor but the food was tasty
Pros: Service was very good. Rooms are big and cosy. Food at restaurant was great and the hotel went out of the way to meet my special dietary requirements.

Pros: As it was away from the busy city center, it was calm and quite. I could walk inside the village to see villagers daily life and could visit huge banyan tree in foot. They offer transfer service to the city center and I didn’t find it difficult to reach the main attractions either. All the staff were really nice and caring. They offer home made Indian food for all 3 meals of a day. Profits are used for the education of the children of the nearby village. If you wish, you can visit the school which is right next to the hostel. Thank you and see you again!
Pros: The location is perfect-not too far away from Bodh Gaya but enough to feel the lovely peace. The owners were away but the staff running the place were so kind and attentive. There is a nice yoga space there, and a great rooftop to watch the sunset. This place was great.
Pros: Loved the setting in middle vegetable gardens among the villages of the Bakrour area away from the crowds of Bodh Gaya.
Pros: It is a great location if you want to get away from it all! Very peaceful and simple. The staff were so helpful - especially as we had a majorly delayed train (12hours!) we arrived the next morning and they were all very accommodating! A free trip into town, delicious dinner at late notice and arranging a car to the station. It is a shame we couldn’t stay longer - for the yoga (amazing studio space!) and to meet the students at the school. A great cause and project.
Cons: I would recommend organising a car - because of our late/ unexpected arrival we grabbed a rickshaw, which struggled a little off road. (Totally worth it though.)
Pros: Extraordinary staff and the school program developed by the proprietors is excellent. I like that half the money earned from the guesthouse goes to support the school. Anup & his wife are very dedicated and have built a brilliant business. The guesthouse and it’s relatively remote location in the midst of emerald green rice fields offers simplicity, a peaceful environment where a sense of belonging and love prevail.
Cons: I was there late Sept and the dirt road to go there and beyond to a small village, Banyon tree and river was mud and mud puddles because of all the rain.
Pros: Toilet big n ok, Staffs were very good n friendly especially Navdeep was very helpful so are Yuko n her hubby Anup. They provide free transport to town...
Cons: The room was not very clean, uncleaned dustbin n floor. They could have made a double check on rooms n bedding before the guest arrive, since booking was made ahead of time. Need a lot of improvement to make guest to keep coming back.
Pros: Friendly staff n village atmosphere
Cons: Room was not very clean, uncleared dustbin in room n toilet...for a simple food it was way too expensive. Need to do lots of improvement.
Pros: The place is close to the city but in the rice fields, so it's quiet and relaxed at night. If you know India, you'll appreciate it. In the night you could see the stars and hear the frogs. Good food, great owners, always helpful. Great walks nearby, including the banyan tree where Buddha almost illuminated. One day I helped with the orphan school nearby, great experience! I will come back here.

Pros: nice and clean rooms. friendly staff in restaurant and on reception.
Cons: a bit far from the main road. location is quite and serene. but arrival at night might be a problem fr new guests. Google map did not navigate to hotel.
Pros: Very friendly and helpfull staff and front office. Welcoming and making you feel home.. definitely a good place
Pros: The hot Poori-Bhaaji breakfast The Tara Devi Temple close by Friendly staff
Cons: Cleanliness needs to improve! Surroundings have dirty stagnant water that needs to be cleared. Bathroom fittings can be better

Pros: Anil, the proprietor is a true gentleman and very helpful
Pros: Family atmosphere, owner operated, quiet, great food, excellent english spoken, very helpful.
Pros: Anil and his family are just super nice.
Cons: It was really nice full stop
Pros: My wife and I had a lovely stay at Suma Guest House. Anil and his family really make you feel like you are visiting old friends or family. The rooms are clean, quiet and comfortable. The home cooked meals are exceptional. Anil went out of his way to accommodate our needs and is a wonderful host.
Cons: The one thing I would change is the firmness of the bed, which is just a matter of preference. I like a mattress that is a little softer. That said, the issue was overcome by lying on a thick blanket.
Pros: Anil and Rekha are wonderful hosts, very kind and treated us like family. Anil was very helpful with airport transfers and local information. We all looked forward to Rekha’s delicious home-cooked meals! The house is very safe, clean and in a quiet area. Away from the noisy main road but walkable to the Mahabodhi stupa. It is also next door to Root Institute where many Buddhist courses are available. I would stay there again!
Pros: I liked the invitation into Indian family life through genuine hospitality and yummy home cooked meals. Wifi, good hot water shower, big bathroom, big bedroom, clean. Attentive to requests, excellent english language. Nice sunny rooftop with views of surrounding fields. Just a field away to Root Institute, it is a nicely quiet area out of the busy hustle bustle of Bodh Gaya at this time of year. Cheap motor rickshaw ride away from the Mahabodhi Stupa
Cons: For what is possible in Bodh Gaya, which is in the poorest state of India, it is very good. The sewerage and garbage collection are still developing. Beware of mosquitoes. The road is not good, so if it's wet you better be prepared for mud!
Pros: Family house Warm and friendly people
Cons: Everything it’s ok Sure Back
Pros: Amil, the owner of the guesthouse, is very accommodating and truly cares about his guests. He picked me up in the early hours of the morning from the bus station and dropped me off at the train station when I left Bodh Gaya. Throughout my stay, he was available to help me book train tickets, chat over breakfast and dinner, and check-in with me to make sure I was feeling happy and safe in Bodh Gaya. The guesthouse is spacious and well-kept. It is in a good location, close enough to the main road to walk to town but far enough away from all of the noise and chaos of the traffic. I would highly recommend staying at Suma Guesthouse.
Pros: The family that owns the guesthouse make your stay, as if, you were visiting family. The vegetables are grown in an organic garden next door. The home cooked food at every meal is delicious. It is the best. If you need help with transportation getting to train, bus or a car to take you outside of Bodh Gaya. It will be arranged at Suma. They are kind and helpful. I love the family.
Pros: Warm welcome, friendly hosts, spacious room, clean, with superb home-cooked food. Access is down an unpaved lane, but then most of Bodh Gaya is unpaved and worse. With a bike, you reach the main sights in 10 minutes, and you get peace and quiet day and night. Strongly recommended!
Cons: Leaving. I should have stayed longer.
Pros: Very good position, not far away from Mahabodi temple but in a quite location outside the traffic. The owner and his family are very nice and helpful. The room was clean and we really appreciated the small balcony annexed. Shower was hot, and with a good pressure, one of the best we had in India.
Located in Gaya, Hotel Mariya International is a 4-minute drive from Tergar Monastery and 5 minutes from Thai Temple. Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, a business center, and complimentary newspapers in the lobby. A roundtrip airport shuttle is complimentary (available 24 hours).
Pros: Staff very helpfull and kind. Good internet, very quiet place.
Pros: Beds were good food was fresh &tasty stay was enjoyable
Cons: Sign of hotel (specially in night)
Pros: The staff were amazing. I don’t think I’ve ever had people more concerned about me getting what I wanted.
Cons: The road to get to the hotel is really bad. Dirt road and may have problem during raining. I don't think auto rick saw can get to it.
Pros: Staff great nothing to much for them
Cons: No fridge in room ,and a lack of connunication
Cons: Location is far away from centre. Once you check in you are detached from everything. All the time you have to request hotel staff to drop to the market. Even from there you have to take again E rickshaw to reach market place. Reception was dull and was very reluctant in giving answers. Even whatever they guided me was not proper. AC was not running when I entered the room. Upon query they answered that because of power cut I have to wait till the power has been restored. There was a terrible odur coming out from the toilet and I could see that the toilet was not cleaned for a long time. Urine spots were also clearly visible on the comod. Upon hue and cry they sent staff to clean the toilet. Still the odur was there. For dinner I ordered some tandoori items but they denied it because they don't have that tandoori burnt because there is low demand of tandoor items. So reluctantly i ordered what I don't used to eat in dinner. And earlier I wrote that you are totally dependant on the hotel once you are inside the hotel. Within 2 KM of the radious there is only paddy field. I paid for the morning breakfast earlier thinking of atleast having a good breakfast before leaving the hotel. But to my extreme surprise they informed me that only one item can be served either Puri Vaji or Aloo Partha and they don't have any option for buffet breakfast now though they are charging for buffet. Staying at this hotel is a complete wastage of money, time and energy. You can get a lot of choice in the Centre and that is too in much cheaper rate.
Pros: Clean..staff members are good
Cons: They didn't have parking area...Location is very bad
Pros: Excellent services, courteous staff and overall clean set up.

Cons: Slightly far from the stupa but that can also be an advantage.
Pros: Our hosts where wonderful people. There was nothing they could not do for us. They were a warm, family accommodating and provided breakfast and supper (beautifully Japanese). Thy spent some time with us in the evenings and provided ongoing information for the next day. Bathroom was little cold, but it was the middle of winter. So friendly, Only sorry that we could not return for the later second booking due to severe illness caught in Nepal and Varanasi. Bless this family visit and enjoy them.
Cons: Bathroom was a little cold, but it was the middle of winter.
RAHUL GUEST HOUSE is situated 5minutes walking distance from Buddha temple and away from main roads and noise..in a lovely natural and peacefull environment and we are happy to say that we are running our guest house successfully from more than 18yrs and we dont have any complain from our customers......And ofcourse in very affordable prices...
Pros: Room was clean
Cons: Behaviour of lady hosts was quite pathetic. I found two ladies there and there were behaving like 'उन्होंने मुझे वहां कमरा देकर मेरे उपर बहुत बड़ा एहसान कर दिया है'.......
Pros: It was a nice room and probably the cleanest we had in India. The location is in the center of town, a little away from the main road, so it’s quite. Rahul is a very friendly and easy going guy, I would definitely stay here again.

Pros: Hotel manager was helpfull
Cons: House keeping they went inside my room without knockingwhile i was taking bath..it sucks
Cons: The food was not good and the serving was too late and the electricity was not there and the A.C was not working so improve your hotel .

Pros: The staff is friendly. Breakfast is excellent especially you can order anything from the resturant menu.
Cons: The bathroom is not very clean but bearable.
Pros: Very friendly staff. The owner speaks french . The room are comfortable . Very nice stay.
Pros: The room is spacious and clean. The location is walking distance to MahaBodhi Temple and the restaurant food is delicious (Sujata Restaurant) . Wi-Fi is also good.
Pros: A lovely big quiet, spacious room with a great view of the street where I could often watch processions of pilgrims from different nationalities going to the temple in the early morning. An easy walk to MahaBodhi temple. The staff, especially the charming Manager Amaan, went out of their way to be helpful and address my needs and solve little problems. It was wedding season when I stayed so it was great to be some distance from the noisy mobile discotheques that kept friends in other hotels awake. Great treat to be able to get my laundry done.
Cons: As a solo traveller person staying in Bodhgaya for three weeks I arrived, jetlagged after a very long journey, I would have appreciated printed 'welcome' information.both about the services available in the hotel or nearby and some tourist information (eg walking map) to help me get oriented. (The hotel is largely pitched towards short term organised pilgrimages...whereas I was staying longer and wanted to explore.) Had trouble at first working out how to get hot water in the shower ..unfamiliar type of tap, answer was that hot water sometimes just took time to come.
