Comfortable bedroom and efficient air-con (always welcome in Thailand).
The photos on the website don't quite match the reality and whilst the bedroom was great, the bathroom needed a little more attention to basic maintenance although it was adequate for our needs. An uninspiring but filling breakfast.
There was smell in the Bath room
Great breakfast as many choices to pick and comfortable bed.
Small swimming pool and a bit too far from Huikang MRT (15 mins walk to)
-The lobby is nice -There was no problem cancelling the last 2 of our 3 nights there and we were refunded in full - they could have refused but didn't (we had to call booking.com to cancel through them though) -To be fair we were looking for some luxury to end our trip (which had its fair share of bumps in the road), and while the lobby looks very nice, the rest of the hotel isn't worth paying a premium for. If we were not looking for more luxury/comfort, we'd take something 30% cheaper and be happy. In the end we spent slightly over double to spend our last 2 nights in luxury.
-The swimming pool is tiny and right next to a busy, smelly street. Not really a "resort" at all. -Maybe the room used to be nice, but it looked awfully maintained. Marks and actual holes in the wall, and 'repainted PARTS' of wall (like 50x50cm) that were extremely obvious (white, unlike the rest of the wall) scream "we didn't bother to properly refurbish this place". I live in a 5-year old apartment and I'm not the best at maintaining it, but this looks like it's 30 years old. Not what you'd expect from a hotel. -The breakfast isn't too bad, but it gets really crowded. Not really a "boutique hotel". -The bathroom was in poor shape. Marks all over the bath tub and a dirty shower hose. -It really is just a 15 min walk to the MRT, but those 15 min will take you through a very, very busy, loud and smelly street with no sidewalk at times.
Excellent staff and first class food.
