Visitors to Bangkok can easily go straight from the airport to central Bangkok with just a short trip on the train. The ARL also connects with the BTS Skytrain (Bangkok Mass Transit System), which is one of the major public transit arteries in Bangkok. Along with the BTS Skytrain, there are also metro lines (MRT) and bus lines (BRT) that connect to the ARL and service both airports.
  • If your flight to Bangkok is just the first leg of your journey, then Don Mueang International Airport (DMK) might be the better airport option. The Don Mueang Train Station is just a 10-minute walk from the airport, providing quick and convenient access to many of Thailand’s other great cities.
  • Since Suvarnabhumi International Airport (BKK) is a busy one, be sure to make full use of the airport’s facilities to make your journey more comfortable. As usual the flight from AUS in Austin to SFO was late because they didn’t have adequate staffing to board the plane on time creating a 1 hour delay, which resulted in me missing my flight to Osaka due to a missed connection. When I got to the gate 10 minutes late after landing exactly the time the connecting flight was taking off, I saw my flight to Osaka sitting at the gate and that gates had closed. I attempted to contact United Via chat on the United App and was given the runaround and passed between 2 separate “agents” who after saying they could rebook me, told me I needed to go to ANA even though they’re partners and all of my ticketing was through United. After going to ANA’s gate at SFO to try and get help I was told I would need to leave and go to United’s ticket counter in order to get help. The ANA agents said that it was United’s issue. An hour after running to try to make my flight I got to the United counter. I showed the agent my itinerary and she helped as much as she could. I was booked on a flight that would occur 13 hours after my original flight to Osaka and given $45 in vouchers which doesn’t cover much at SFO. I had also spent 30000 miles with United to get an upgrade with more legroom. And that was not refunded to this point. Ultimately I lost 1 whole day of vacation in with my wife and kids and, the 30000 airline miles and I’m out the money and time I spent. In these situations United and their partners should go out of their way to communicate and accommodate but I was left to my own devices to find the right resources. The only option was to fly to Seoul 12 hours and take a connecting flight to Osaka: I am a United Skyniles member and would not recommend booking a flight with them unless you thoroughly understand the routes as it is likely you will be left to your own devices to resolve the situation.

The food was terrible and totally inedible. If you are flying with ANA/United bring your own food it was a long flight to be hingry

Staff at gate and crew on plane efficient and friendly.

I thought I bought the ticket directly through Kayak not a 3rd party

I like that we made it faster than regularly scheduled. Everything else was poor. The boarding was slow and chaotic. One person was screaming instructions to people that didn’t understand and there was only one camera so boarding was slow. The crew was not very friendly and one stewardess was extremely rude to everyone the entire flight. The food was not good and not themed to the country we were going to like every international flight I’ve taken. Lastly the seats were awful. After this flight I would never recommend United and will actively avoid booking another flight through them.

When I checked in, it printed two bag tags. The helper said they would cancel the other. They canceled both and my bag was left behind

The ladies are great seats should be a little bigger!

Couple of hours delayed, we had to re-booked our Shinkansen reservation twice. United Aiines need to improve their time!

The staff is amazing, I cannot stress that enough! The food is really good and snacks at stations to take for yourselves. Economy seating is fine, not the most comfortable, but our friends in Premium Economy said they were very comfortable! Decent entertainment options, but being built in, you have to use their cheap headsets unless you have your own plug in ones. I only have Bluetooth earbuds.

It was good. The crew was efficient, food was good

Smooth sailing trip, pilots are good. Less amount of food offered but the quality is okey.

Humm, I should have known that the seat I peaked on my flight from Inchon to Manila was designed for a toddler or very small person.

The staff hold my luggage to steel and exchange my stub, i was very disappointed.

Kayak uses scammer sites to steal money from their victims.

Kayak along with airfare assay are attempting to steal my money. Charges are being pressed.

Customer service and attention to details. The food was good.

When one asks for water because they are dehydrated, bring more then a sip or two in a small cup. Bring them a whole bottle.

I’d have rated Asiana good except an unfortunate incident in which I felt one of your employee didn’t really help us. During the first leg of the trip, the flight from LAX to ICN, I left my backpack on the plane. When I realized, I reported to one of your employee who promised me that it’d be taken care of, that my backpack will be there at HCM city. When we arrived there, HCM people had no idea and my backpack was still at Incheon airport who denied any knowledge whatsoever. I was left in the cold and felt helpless. I was very disappointed. I’d like someone to look into this and let me know.

I am thankful that I was able to fly using Asiana

It was my first time flying Asiana but i was very pleased with how professional and understanding the flight crew is with little kids. One flight attendant held my 3 year old daughter’s hand guiding her to the exit after landing while i had my hands full with luggage and my infant. She was very helpful.

Long story short, it was one of the better flight experiences I've had in some time when compared with other airlines.

Flight was great! This flight from Atlanta was even better than when I paid for Comfort from SNA to Atlanta.

Connection flights should be spaced out farther because too close I missed my connection.

Definitely a southern flavor. Cordiality was evident even though no drinks or snacks were served.

On time! There were plenty of airport employees who were able to keep us moving in the right direction. The crew on the plane were professional.

Left /arrived on time. Decent seat space. Like the wifi/plugs and entertainment. Windows and tray table were kinda gross. Attendants didn't start snack service til 40mins before landing. Two rows before us, captain came on to say there's turbulence and recalled staff to seats. So, no drink/snack. Later, attendants didn't stop to see if we had trash nor even look our way. Felt invisible! Almost all pilot announcements were not only unintelligible, but so quiet. We had no idea what she said.

Average seat comfort, a drink and chips were provided, early boarding because we checked a carryon at the gate was nice. Ticket pricing shenanigans, including fees to pick a seat, check a bag, and get food onboard - evidence the industry is reinvigorating last century’s strategies- destroys the experience before one ever arrives at the airport. It’s difficult to recognize any value or sustain loyalty in the end-to-end process making air travel more drudgery than pleasure.

Gate agent was unhelpful for handicapped boarding. Flight attendant seemed untrained.

No service flight that took 5 hrs and a stop at an unscheduled airport. Crew and pilots did their jobs

Clean planes and not take my comfort class seat away.

The service was better on this flight from the long haul one, but still very poor from The Cathay Pacific of the past.

The plane was dirty, the seats were torn and broken, the service was the most terrible ever, the bathroom dirty, they will not even serve water you had to request it, the meals were terrible, overall less than Zero, I will never fly Cathay Pacific again.

Despite the crew's rough day, they were all very focused and friendly. The flight was too short for a meal, so no rating on that. Re. the AA app. It still isn't ready for prime time. AA works with Cathy Pacific for international flights to LA and the Aa jump to PHX. But the AA app can't find my trip and this can be problematic with flight delays and regatings at LAX.

Was not able to board flight because boarding pass name did not match passport name and no one caught it.

Had a bad experience with crew member coming back Hong Kong to la the person next to me one of the passenger have taken video and picture of crew member the person that served meal young kid late 20' s 6 5'10 had attitude at his peak anything I asked for I don't know if it was bad day or racial I felt humiliated as people could see difference towards me I no problem with Cathy and my whole family never had one was very disappointed

Frequently flyer number should and could have been put on at the time of booking as I gave the number when booking.

Very attentive crews Flight was very smooth and safe Only little disappointment was the slight delay of departure (~30 minutes ) which rarely happen with CX flights

Not at all satisfactory. I had stomach upsets after taking food. Quality of Asian vegetarian meal was awful. Further there was no snacks/ fruits/ biscuits available as in between snacks.. only peanuts and pitzels.. except courteous staff rest of my experience was far from satisfactory

Staff was very courteous. Plane was clean and quite spacious even in the last rows. Veg food could have been better.

Later on, when there was no more bottled water, the water we received had a strong chlorine/disinfectant odor. On my flight from Hong Kong to Los Angeles, there was a male flight attendant who had a mean attitude throughout the whole trip, and he was very impatient during meal service “Furthermore, we purchased a Hong Kong SIM card as part of our flight package, but we received no instructions—neither by email nor SMS—on how to activate or use it. Consequently, we were unable to use the service at all. We request a full refund, as this appears to be a deceptive charge

Smooth travel. Immediate update prior flight delay so I can arrange myself properly without too rush.

Everything was the best it could be. Crew found me with pre- ordered food. Excellent experience!

Improve the food offerings and cabin seating. My wife would prefer to fly another airline, even with a connection for a more comfortable trip. A 737-8 should not be scheduled for a 6 hour segment, which turned into 7.5 hours due to the origin ground delay.

Packed flight, which makes it tough on crew and boarding staff (and the customers of course). But this was great boarding, clear instructions, etc. Traveling on the weekends are always fraught with danger as you have families and less frequent flyers thus more confusion. But this flight went as planned.

Destroyed my suitcase. Tired of talking about it. Cancelling my unite mileage plus account.

Read the fine print. This was my flight home. I booked my flight for the quickest way home. Had a carry-on and a personal item. Same as my outbound flight. Apparently I needed to pre-pay extra for my carry-on. When I checked in, I was told that I had to check it. I said I’ll pay for it, and was told that this wasn’t an option anymore. They said I still had to pay $50 to check my carry-on. I told them I’ll pay whatever to just carry it in as intended. I was not allowed, so eventually I paid $50 to check my carry-on under a plane that was half full, with overhead compartments that were even less full. My white carry-on suitcase was practically destroyed getting from Idaho falls to Denver to Orange County. The low price air fair was a bait and switch. Got me to the gate, made me pay extra, then didn’t even allow me to pay for a carry on. Not to mention that I paid the $8 for WiFi that didn’t work. All to get my suitcase destroyed. I don’t think I’m going to even keep my Untied mileage plus membership and card. Apparently, membership does not have its privileges for this one.

The flight was delayed, they didn’t even have water for the toilets or for drinks

Even through the flight was delayed due to storms near IAH The flight was great! The crew was so hospitable and professional

I flew from Santa Fe to Denver to catch a flight to London and the transfer of my luggage on arrival at Denver to the London flight worked perfectly. The crew on the ground and on board for the London flight were so friendly and efficient.

Boarded early; and arrived home 40 mins early. After a long flight, it’s nice to be back home early. These flights have no amenities; no snacks. So need to bring your own
