Air conditioning in the bathroom was a nice touch. Beds were comfortable. Food stalls right around the corner at excellent prices.
Room, bathroom, facilities, dirty and poor service
location is great
cleanliness could be much better
There’s a lot to be said about this location so I’ll list them here... The pros: the location is great. It’s easy to get there from DMK airport by taxi or subway (we took a taxi). Nearby there’s dozens of food stalls and the Golden Buddha Temple. And if you’re brave enough to try, a few bus lines come nearby too. The price point was excellent. Take the rest of this review with that in mind. We spent $9usd/night, which is nothing. For that, it was pretty comfortable, the rooms are locked and not easily accessed by the riffraff on the street and I felt pretty safe all things considered. The towels were huge! Very comfortable pillows! And I like the blanket too! It was perfect for the hella warm climate of Thailand. We stayed in a shared bathroom double room so it was only us. If you’re staying in the more dorm-like rooms, I’d suggest bringing a combo lock for the lockers helpfully provided. We didn’t have a problem, but they’re there just in case.
The cons: the initial hallway didn’t smell great? They kept things clean, but there was something that couldn’t be filtered out in the hallway immediately after the front desk. While the bathrooms seemed pretty clean (the toilets certainly were) the floors were black and the lighting was dim, so it was pretty impossible to tell just How Clean. We elected to wear flip flops just in case. No frills, limited amenities, bring your own shampoo/conditioner or buy some at the 7/11 across the street if you don’t want to use the 2 for 1 body wash/shampoo they provide in the showers. (But, and I cannot stress this enough, $9/night. What are you expecting for that?)
Not alot to be honest. Shared Bathroom was ok I suppose and the air con worked and reduced the sewer smell when turned on.
Smells like a sewer when you get through the door past reception. It's miles away from any tourist attractions. Building work going on from 6am until 8pm. Girl on reception doesn't seem interested in being there. They will rip you off if possible. - check out is at 12 noon and we wanted to keep or room for another few hours until our bus at 7pm... they wanted us to pay full price for the room for the night even though i showed that there we rooms available on booking.com for nearly half the price. So I was told to book through there instead.
