Top tips for finding cheap flights to Bangkok

  • Book at least 1 week before departure in order to get a below-average price.
  • High season is considered to be January, November and December. The cheapest month to fly from the United States is September.
  • Enter your preferred departure airport and travel dates into the search form above to unlock the latest Bangkok flight deals.
  • Purchase a local SIM card at any of the counters located near the baggage claim for a small fee for unlimited internet access during your stay. Purchasing it at the airport will make your trip easier than ever.
  • Check out any of the dozen Suvarnabhumi International Airport (BKK) lounges, including the Miracle lounges and others like the Bangkok Airways Blue Ribbon Lounges (located in Concourse A and Concourse D), the Oman Air First & Business Class Lounge (located in Concourse E), Air France's KLM SkyLounge (located in Concourse F). The SkyLounge is ideal for longer haul travelers as it is open 24h a day.
  • Head to Immigration 2, which is the smallest compared to the other two immigration areas (1 and 3) but also tends to be the quietest when the airport is busiest since it is furthest from the arrival gates. Look for Priority Immigration for Business Class and VIPs to locate it.
  • Besides the public transport options, taxis, tuk-tuks, and private vehicles are also available for hire outside of both airports. Tuk-tuks are certainly the more iconic travel option, but for Suvarnabhumi it is recommended that travelers stick to taxis, buses, or trains. However, at Don Mueang International Airport (DMK), tuk-tuks are absolutely a great transport option for getting to your hotel.
  • Looking to hit the spa before you embark on your flight back at home? Suvarnabhumi International Airport (BKK) has an in-house spa available just for that purpose. There, travelers can receive soothing massages and full spa treatment - all within a walk of their departure gate.
  • For travelers looking at flights to Bangkok, Don Mueang International Airport (DMK) and Suvarnabhumi International Airport (BKK) are your two airport options. Don Mueang International Airport (DMK) is a low-cost and regional hub, while Suvarnabhumi International Airport (BKK) is the primary international hub.
  • Suvarnabhumi International Airport (BKK) is connected directly to the downtown area by the Airport Rail Link (ARL). Visitors to Bangkok can easily go straight from the airport to central Bangkok with just a short trip on the train. The ARL also connects with the BTS Skytrain (Bangkok Mass Transit System), which is one of the major public transit arteries in Bangkok. Along with the BTS Skytrain, there are also metro lines (MRT) and bus lines (BRT) that connect to the ARL and service both airports.
  • If your flight to Bangkok is just the first leg of your journey, then Don Mueang International Airport (DMK) might be the better airport option. The Don Mueang Train Station is just a 10-minute walk from the airport, providing quick and convenient access to many of Thailand’s other great cities.
  • Since Suvarnabhumi International Airport (BKK) is a busy one, be sure to make full use of the airport’s facilities to make your journey more comfortable. Cheap luggage storage is located on the second floor of the terminal, which will give you more flexibility to explore all the airport has to offer.
  • There is only one terminal at Suvarnabhumi International Airport (BKK) and it is easily walkable. First class and business travelers have access to expedited fast track access through immigration if you want to speed up your journey. You can also get a foot massage at one of the shops located on the 3rd floor.

The app was awful. No accurate info. Paying for internet is a negative (Delta is free). The crew was very nice for the most part although you are not guaranteed to get good service. Some crew would ignore requests for things as simple as a cup of water if you were sleeping when the first serving was made. Food was great. Male crew member was exceptionally kind and responsive.

It was a good flight. I would highly recommend it to family and friends.

The employees were professional and efficient. I consider myself a traveler but have trouble with the international fare served on airplanes. I admit Americans buy their food in the supermarket and we typically don’t eat the ligaments and cartilage. I know that is whiny but as I age, I dislike it more. At least things weren’t covered in cheese. The desserts are terrible! My neighbor didn’t eat her bread so I asked if I could have it. First time for everything but had been traveling a total of 27 hours and was hungry.

Amazing crew, excellent food, business class seats seem a bit dated but are super comfy even for a very tall person. If continuing onto Taipei, the stopover in Bangkok is a bit annoying (queue at security) though the lounge is decent.

The night flight was only 2/3 full, which is always a plus. Room to stretch out for sleeping. Gracious stewardesses, attentive, and slim/attractive (which is rare these days). Good food, and curtesy wine.with meals. Comfortable seats and decent leg room (economy class)

On time service. Seat comfort and the crew service very good .

Only one Hindi movie from LAvto Taipei and same movie from Taipei to Singapore Really horrible and we call it entertainment???

Food was ok. Could have been better. Entertainment was limited, especially for kids.

The crew was very helpful. Food was prepared with great care and tasted wonderful. Movie selection was a bit limited. The bedding on the seat is a little too thin for sleeping.

Excellent service, love the extra amenities (water bottles, blankets, etc.).

Absolutely horrible. The fight member crew or not very friendly and the food was horrible.

It would be better if flight crew can clearly communicate in english. But they are kind and accommodating. Food is good, especially the sandwiches on the self-serving snack trays. They are better than the ones served. Boarding was organized.

So far one of the good one , whenever I go to Korea , I always use Korean airline .

They had the same movie choice as my previous flight, not much of a choice, movies were not up to date, music was uninteresting. Other than sitting on the ground for 40 minutes after boarding the plane, with pilot telling us that they couldn't load the plane because of rain, (bullshit) We finally got into Bangkok of course 40 minutes late.

They could have had more up to date movies/better choice of music.

Terrible experience will never fly Delta again. Delayed flight with total disorganization and inept crew who wouldn’t communicate.

Will try never to fly Delta international again. Flight delayed and staff completely inept in dealing with it. Would not communicate, rude, completely disorganized. Once we reached Seoul the staff there had no idea what to do with us and led us around the airport from one pointless line to another. They were clearly not told how to manage the situation even though they had hours to make a plan. Never again.

They texted me my gate number and then they texted me again it’s now boarding but in different gate, and the gate was so far from the gate they texted me earlier. I have to run just to get to my flight. They always do that.

The crew and my luggage was still pretty good after a long flight. They take good care of the luggage.

Customer service at the gate in the flight was exceptional. On time. Aircraft and seat was decent. Thanks Delta. 💗

It was terrible, if they ran flights on time it would make a big difference.

Great flight. On-time, comfortable, clean aircraft, and offered snacks pre-flight to plan for a potentially turbulent route. I wish there was Wi-Fi an all Delta Aircrafts but for a short flight this is not much of a problem.

Delta seems to be improving in many areas, except they are super bad with the food available. Bring back normal food service on long flights.

If I pay extra for "comfort+" I expect leg room where I can stretch my legs. I was seated with an attendant's seat blocking my feet. Knee space was fine but my feet had less room than the non-"comfort+" seats. Also, don't go cheap on food when you have flights of 3+ hours. It's insulting.

Everything was good except when we're on a 6 hour flight at dinner time and all they offer as part of the fare are little bags of junk food, it's disappointing. Bring back food service without an added price.

I sat in comfort plus. It was fine. Seats were comfortable. I got drinks and snacks.

Crew was nice. Flight was timely. Seats could be better as well as the food considering it’s first class.

Left on time and arrived early this extending our 31 minute transfer. Bags made it also!

Good and consistent Printer in lounge did not work for me :(

Food was hood for airline food with good poftion and variety in meals. Frequency of beverage service was very low and amount of soda with meals was inadequate.

Excellent service provided the flight crew. Food and drinks were very good.

Meal options for vegetarians can be provided… Nothing was offered for me for dinner.. crew just said no vegetarian option available and did even bother to provide any alternatives or something to eat.

I was really impressed with the experience it was my first trip overseas. Nice staff

Not enough food for everyone. . Always run out of food when we ask

I was amazed at how clean Cathay Pacific planes were compared to our US domestic airlines. Everything was great all but the food service I was just okay with. Shorter flights with other airlines usually provided more meals and snacks that I have been on. Almost a 16 hour flight just two meals and no snacks with Cathay Pacific. Even ran out of what I wanted for one of them. Other than that top notch!

My sister and I were booked on flight CX844 from Hong Kong to New York, following a layover from Hangzhou. The scheduled layover was already over 7 hours, and the flight to New York was set to depart at 2:00 AM. At 11:00 PM, I was informed that the flight was delayed until 6:45 AM, significantly extending an already lengthy layover. I spoke with a representative to inquire about rescheduling or hotel accommodation, but she rudely insisted that company policy only offered a $150 food voucher, which was unhelpful as I had already eaten and most places were closing. She refused any alternative support or access to the Cathay Pacific lounge to make my wait more bearable. As a loyal Cathay Pacific customer, flying with the airline every year, I was deeply frustrated not only by the delay but by the poor service and unprofessional attitude I encountered. I believe this situation could have been handled with more care and flexibility.

Cathay flight was fine, Amsterdam airport was a nightmare, spent way too much time walking to our next connection, no travelators.

For a transpacific flight, flying economy is awful! The seats are cramped and its meant for petite folks! Good luck if you have long legs. BOARDING - AWFUL, we got to Hong Kong - the gate was listed, but upon arrival, there was a MESS of boarding procedures, they basically DIY'ed how to board but making three lines and putting three ground crew to check for passports in the terminal area. THEN to make it worse, after going through that cattle process, all of a sudden you see people standing and looking confused, apparently we were told to get in line to board, but the AV notification wasnt even working. So people started cramming in line - worse than cattle. One saving point, the flight crew forgot to serve me dinner and after waiting for it, I fell asleep since this was a midnight flight. After letting a crew know that I was forgotten, all of my meals were served first !!! Yay for being in the economy seats! Nothing much to write home about once more!

Bathroom was not cleaned as often as other airlines does. It was gross for a less than full flight capacity.

Terrible boarding process, no proper line maintained even for business class, crews are not very attentive, business class food quality / variety / quantity have gone down, everything has become cheap.

Check in was not available online. It was super long line to check in

I did not have a good experience from the first point of contact to the check in person to boarding and the comfort of the seats. I would not travel on Turkish again. I will let my family and friends know about my experience which was not a pleasant one.

Food quality and the overall service of the staff and significantly decreased. The flight was delayed at the Istanbul airport and the passengers were kept onboard for more than 3 hours. The staff didn’t kept the passengers informed and everyone was upset.

Cross Atlantic flight terrible aircraft TK10 on the way back : Old configuration tacky . The boarding in Istanbul at the gate fly TK686 was a mess unorganized , very rude ground staff . Overall never again

The food served was frozen salad and hummus. The hot meal was fine. Crew was doing bare minimum

I enjoy flying with Turkish Airlines and such good hospitality among the crew memebers

Good food and wine. Some of the Guy who are in charge to board Passengers on the plane couldn’t use the word “Please” to direct them drop their hand luggage to be loaded on Plane bcos he said the inside storage may not have enough room for all.

Turkish Airlines apparently no longer gives you 2 checked bags allowance on international flights, so that pleasure cost me $165 for my second suitcase at the airport. On top of that, they damaged that very suitcase, which happens to be a designer one and part of a set - ripped one of the four wheels right off.

Pretty standard for long haul international flying. Food was fine, tv/movie selection was great, wifi did not work at all, crew was pleasant enough.
