The Baganara Island Resort offers a pleasant stay in Baganara Island for those traveling for business or leisure. This hotel makes a great place to kick back and relax after a long day of sightseeing. There's never a dull moment at this hotel, our guests indicate that the facilities are excellent.
Pros: Staff of great friendliness. Hotel that provides much tranquility and completely recommendable to visit in couple or with friends. What we liked the most is that they are pets friendly, oh, and the Bonfire!!
Pros: Staff very polite and attentive without being intrusive and the food was very good. We got a room upgrade due to renovation work in the main building.
Cons: Trips were not available due to boat engine being serviced. Steps down to bathing area need a handrail.
Pros: Remote and beautiful location. Friendly, helpful staff giving us personal attention. Comfortable rooms and excellent food. Very good value for money as an all inclusive stay. Nature walk, kayaking and dusk trip to see the macaws roosting were all excellent. Safe swimming in the Essequibo River.
Cons: TV and wireless
Pros: luch and dinner, was prepared without asking me what I wanted. P.A. I ask for Steak which we did not get.
Cons: As I said above, I would have liked a menue Card to sellect myself for breakfast lunch and dinner.
Pros: The serenity and peaceful atmosphere.
Cons: Persistent flies!
Pros: The concept of a resort on an island in the Essequibo is really cool. The food was FANTASTIC !!!. Amazing, !! I loved the food.
Cons: My only peeve about my stay is how they spring on you, the $60USD charge for the boat to get to the resort. It isn't on booking.com. That kinda sucks since it's an island resort. When they send a boat for you, you are going to expect its complimentary or included in the fee you paid to stay there. Give your clients the option to choose if they want to pay $60USD to get to the island. As someone who was there to work, I had to file back all my expenses, to be paid by the Guyanese Gov't. Imagine their surprise when they saw my $60USD boatride, Don't obfuscate information, Baganara is entitled to charge what they want for the boat ride. Make your fee transparent, and allow me to decide if I want to pay it.
Pros: Appreciated the commitment to being eco- friendly. Food was wonderful - requested and received local food throughout our stay. Staff very friendly and engaging.
Cons: Nothing - it was as expected
