Staff is friendly and approachable, The lady behind the desk had the most beautiful smile when I left this morning.
Its an interesting contradiction, On one hand a prestigious university, and on the other hand we have accommodation units built by imbecile cavemen, 99% of the doors are undamped and have a lot of mass, which means you will inevitably be awoken to the sound of slamming doors in the middle of the night ,you will be lucky to get one nights good sleep. The sound proofing is also inadequate, I could hear all the private conversations from neighbouring rooms. Rooms cleaned "sporadically" but well. Single shower between 6 rooms but luckily at the time of my stay most were empty so there were no long queue to the shower. No individual climate control in the rooms. Good for very short stays. Internet throttled most likely to fair use, my laptop needed an update and after that it was pretty much on dial up speeds.
Friendly, and convenient for families. Breakfast was very nice, and so was the possibility of staying in a University campus.
The rooms are bare minimum in terms of facilities, but really, as expected given that this is University accommodation. We had the typical shower that is just a curtain and not a separate cubicle. This was a bit inconvenient, but overall, not an issue.
Very comfortable bed.
Instructions on how to get to the accommodation building and parking area inside the huge campus were not adequate.
The breakfast was excellent: lots of choices and healthy options. The sausages in particular are worthy of singling out because they were such good quality. Plenty of seating. The accommodation is close to the city of Bath and beside the Bath Skyline so there are good walking opportunities all around.
The coffee available in machines at breakfast was not good quality. I tried a few of the options and found they were all undrinkable. I'm a coffee drinker and am prepared to try most coffees but just couldn't enjoy the coffee on offer in the Lime Tree restaurant. I would love to have had porridge for breakfast but it wasn't available. Many adults eat porridge through the year regardless of whether it's warm or cold outside.
Awesome breakfast - Awesome staff
Dirty under bed - needs daily mopping. 2 hand towels would be nice. Duvet cover had blood on it Beds could be upgraded - but relatively comfortable
