The staff couldn’t do enough for you, really friend and helpful. Other than a lovely breakfast, no food on site, pub nearby.

Handy location: 15 minute walk into city centre. Plenty of free parking. Varied choice at breakfast & was delicious. Spacious rooms with good facilities eg. comfy beds,Tea/coffee,hairdryer.
No-where to put or hang towels in bathroom eg.shelf,hook on back of door,towel rail etc

Big old house built around 1870 in it's own grounds with plenty of parking space, room was good, well heated with a good shower, breakfast was excellent, spacious dining area and a Bar for those that wanted a drink and friendly efficient staff !
We had room 18, which could do with a lick of paint, it was very clean though but we've found the same with older Hotels that we've stopped in,

Nothing as the arrogant rude gentleman that met us on arrival put us off the hotel - if I had not paid £97.00 pounds up front I would of left asap
The way we was treated on arrival, the gentleman that greeted us was rude , arrogant and made us feel worthless as customers - he slammed the door in our face after telling us we could not check in till 13.30pm, we new this but just went to let him no we had arrived and that parking in the grounds would be ok.
