I love the view of looking out the window
Newly renovated hotel...Convenient to shopping and golf courses.
GM helped me on a tough jam. Great guy.
Reasonable price not far from the island it self House keeping didn't complete their job and left pillows and towels where every they wanted.
The staff were polite and the room was spacious. The breakfast was good, although the staff member attending breakfast was very caught up in her own conversation the entire 45 minutes we were eating. Upon arrival my non-smoking room smelled like smoke. I killed a roach crawling across the floor. The tub was very narrow. Facilities are dated and in need of repair and updating. The king size bed squeaked and creaked with the slightest movement. The door lock on our door only worked sometimes, causing multiple trips to the lobby to be let in our room - they did not ask for ID to verify that it was my room either. My biggest issue was the dog that howled for almost an hour in the middle of the night and was not addressed by staff although we called the desk several times. We were told that authorities were coming to remove the dog, but that did not happen. When I voiced my concerns again upon checkout, I was told the manager would call me to arrange a refund and he has still not called. A very poorly ran and unkempt hotel. I will not be returning and I advise staying somewhere else.
I always look for a Comfort Inn when traveling because I can count on getting a comfortable room for a good price. This was no exception. It was hard to find.
nice room, breakfast buffet, not overly expensive or cheap, better price tha staying in hilton head when we arrived at around 2pm, we rang the service bell 3 times - no response. i had to go find the girl to get us checked in, at which point she informed me that check in was at 3pm, and made me feel naive for not knowing this. there was a group waiting to be checked in since noon, and were unable to be checked in bc "the house keeping has to alert the system that the rooms are ready and that wont happen until 3pm" - which is rather ridiculous that a room that is clean and ready is not allowed to be checked in to, bc of a "system logic". seems like a broken system. the worse part was how rude she was to us and other patrons. very concerning, bc that is the most important part of her position. the others we worked with were much friendlier, but i was very putoff by the initial worker i encountered
Under repair and still paid full price for a room that was undone
Clean, affordable, upscale, comfortable. Breakfast was over by 9am
Room was good and clean, on par with the Marriott properties (Courtyard, Fairfield, Springhill, etc) we normally stay at. We didn't make much use of the resort amenities, but the grounds were well-kept.
Everything was nice.
The rooms were very modern, friendly front desk, large variety of food at buffet. All you can eat, with band duo. The Easter buffet check was a surprise, did not get a price or menu beforehand. Check was $115.00 buffet dinner for two, +$15.00 tip for great service, and we did not order extra items. Total for Sonesta Seacrest Easter Buffett for two was $130.00!!! Wow!! Will return, but call for price of buffet first ;)
Well decorated. Cleaning staff was consistently disappointing. Once they took our towels and forgot to give us any new towels and once the room looked barely touched. Everyday they were bad about coming before 8 am and coming back during the four hour Windows we provided.
Hotel grounds were beautiful. Pools were nice. Staff was friendly and courteous. Rooms were clean and modern. One feature we really loved - tiny floor lights that kicked on when you stepped off the bed. Only activated at night, they allowed you just enough light to see your way to the bathroom without knocking into things. Not a problem exclusive to Sonesta, but by 10:30am all the pool chairs were "reserved", and you couldn't find a seat let alone a couple chairs together. Guests reserving multiple chairs early in the am and then leaving their "towels" on those chairs all day long preventing their use by others is a problem systemic to this industry and really needs to be addressed.
The resort's pool and beach were excellent. We had no problem getting chairs at the pool, and the beach was lovely. At high tide, the beach gets really crowded because it shrinks so much. The Sonesta is pet friendly as is the beach. In the late afternoon, there are a lot of dogs on the beach.
Everything about our stay was flawless with the exception of internet access and WIFI. Both were very sporadic and not always available. We love the location, grounds are beautiful, staff was great and our room and entire resort were very clean. Love staying here!
Very clean and well kept. We had standard king bed without ocean view. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Didn't use restaurants but exercise room was nicely equipped and modern.
The resort is in the Shipyard Community (gated with security and includes golf courses and the Van Der Meer Tennis Center) and has direct beach access. The rooms were newly renovated and the grounds were immaculate. The staff was top-notch--very helpful and professional from the check-in clerks to the cleaning staff. We were surprised when our parking lot view room was actually a view of the roof of part of the resort. Not a huge problem, but still... Also, the beach entrance for the resort is connected to the beach club access for the larger Shipyard communnity. This was only a problem because the beach area just outside the resort tended to be quite crowded. However, everyone was nice and we had a great time.
Perfect Spring Break! We stayed at Sonesta for three nights in early March and had a relaxing respite from the stresses of work, and for our 14 year old son, schoolwork. Beautiful lobby, with lots of seating. We brought some games and puzzles, and there was plenty of space to play. The pool areas were beautiful, and the jacuzzi was steaming hot. Our room was lovely, too. Nice fluffy bed and tidy bathroom. Great beach area. A private event was going on in a covered, outdoor dining area, and it looked so neat to be oceanside and have a party. Everyone was friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay at Sonesta again.
Location was centrally located
The breakfast was delicious! Good price and would come back for the buffet. The beds were very comfortable. It would have been nice if your website knew it could have told us that it was under renovations. There was some hipcups staying there. The staff was great and had a great attitude going through their transition.
We had a awsome stay at this holiday inn. Rooms and services were great. A real nice place to stay. I didnt want to ever leave. Nothing to complane about here.
We were given great service from beginning to end! The concierge Gray was very helpful and friendly. Since we came on the offseason, we were able to get an oceanfront room at a weeks notice. We were even able to change the reservation last minute with no penalties. They were much more than accommodating and the location is amazing: right at the beach and Coligny Circle! We will definitely be back again!
The beach was so close The beach house is not a resort it's a nasty old hotel that calls itself a resort.
The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was clean and well appointed. The pool and bar were very nice. The beach was beautiful. The bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in while staying in a hotel. The hallways, and elevator are not air conditioned. They are very stuffy. The restaurant menu selection was slim and uninspiring. The bartender was unable to make common mixed drinks well.
Everything Can be updated more
Beach access and close to shopping, friendly staff We did see a cockroach in the bathroom.
Very comfortable rooms. Polite front desk. Perfect location. Common hallways were not air conditioned.
I have been coming here for 20 years. Great location both for the beach and Coligny area. Tiki Hut is nice with live music all day. Staff did a great job! Caroline, was very helpful in my room accommodations and had a great attitude. She should be rewarded.
My short stay was overall a pleasureable one. I did unfortunately fiind the prior guests false eyelash on the carpet by the bed. :( I did bring it to the attention of the night desk clerk who said she would note it and adjust my bill, but did not see any adjustment on my bill.
loved the beach atmosphere, the tiki bar, the restaurant whose food was delicious. Walking distance to resturants, shops and obviously the beach. The hotel had just been remodeled. Although the bed was super comfortable and there was a small sofa in the room, there was only 1 chair that was very uncomfortable. Also, bathroom was very small, could use more counter space. There was a $10.00 fee for each night that we were not aware, could someone at Kayak look into this?
I surprised my wife with a weekend trip to HHI for Valentines Day and Marriott did not disappoint. The rooms are recently remodeled so everything was clean and new. We enjoyed working out in the fitness room before going out to dinner each night. Although it was too cold to swim, we enjoyed the views of the ocean from the pool deck. The staff was friendly and professional the entire time, wishing us a happy Valentines Day with a smile on multiple occasions. I recommend highly- great value for the level of service and amenities.
Workmen started working at 7:30 am in the room next to us. It was very disturbing. Nothing was done even after I called the front desk.
I really cannot say enough about everything I enjoyed at this hotel. Location, view, friendly and helpful staff and one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on are only a few highlights of my favorite parts of my stay. We also ate in the hotel restaurant and the food was wonderful as was the waitstaff. I can't wait to plan a trip to come back.
I loved the location and the outdoor amenities. The food and drinks were very nice and I appreciated the complementary towels. I didn't like the amount of times the staff called me on the phone. I didn't like that they charged me in the middle of my stay instead of the end. I also didn't like the bed or bedding and I wished the room had a microwave.
I loved the ocean view from my room. The TV guide for the different channels was sticky. The bathroom needed an exhaust fan.
Due to an emergency we did not get to stay after checking in. We received a call that because of a forest fire threatening our home we didn't get to stay I think a refund of at least 3nights should be in order but that won't happen. I will warn everyone I know to avoid using this agency for bookings.
The Omni was a great place to stay. They are doing some improvements on the property but it didn't interfere with our stay.
The location of this hotel is amazing and the amenities are great with Muriel's pools onsite and restaurants. There was remodeling occurring at the time of our stay. Some other reviews suggested that this was the same however the hotel staff insisted it would not effect our stay. They were absolutely wrong and loud construction was heard the entire 4 days so it was difficult to relax. Construction vehicles and supplies took up half of the parking lot and the construction staff took their breaks lying down in grassy patches in the lots. The restaurants on site were very overpriced which was somewhat expected.
Beach access was great! The elevator was out of order for 3 of 4 nights of my stay. We stayed on the second floor so we were OK; however, I'm sure those staying on the 4th and 5th floors were not so happy.
it was clean and pretty much everything you need at one resort from food to family activities, especially walking distance to the beach my kids love it. wishing there is a sleep sofa in the room which would be great for the kids don't want to share the bed.
Loved the easy access to beach, freindly staff, great location. Very relaxing. Food in restaurants was good. Didn't like that chairs on the beach had to be rented and were not provided by the hotel. At other beach resorts I have had free beach chairs with umbrellas or cabanas and even waiters that brought drinks to the beach for you.
The resort was situated perfectly between Hilton Head Plantation and Harbor Town so it was great for the golf courses we were playing. I did not use the pool, beach, golf or tennis at Palmetto Dunes but I'm sure it is beautiful. There was lots of room renovation construction going on
Dog Friendly, although don't bother paying for an ocean view if you have a dog because you will be put on the 1st or 2nd floor and you will not be able to see the beach. I paid for an Ocean View room but my view was at best an obstructed view of the ocean. When I complained, I was moved to another "ocean view room" but I literally could not see any water from that room. Management made no attempt to improve the situation, so I will avoid Omni Hotels from now on. Staff (other than the front desk) are totally foreign and speak poor English; ordering food is quite frustrating.
The rooms and restaurant was an amazing experience
The bed was very comfy. Everyone was very friendly. The food was excellent! Nothing, but having to leave!
The hotel was clean and staff were friendly. They had smell of homemade cookies in the evening. The breakfast was good. The room had a refrigerator which helped keep our food fresh. They had trouble programing our keys. They did not work multiple times and we had to get them reprogrammed which was inconvenient. They apologized and gave us a suite at no extra charge!
Best hotel experience I have ever had. Everything was perfect and everyone was very nice and helpful. Room was great and the bed was comfortable. Thanks for asking my opinion. no
The hotel and the room was nice. The stafee was friendly and helpfu. I book a room for two doulbel beds and we ended up with one king. We had two adults and tow children and one bed. The hotel was full the weekend we were there and ther wer not any other rooms available. When I asked for at least blankets and pillows for the kids I was told there were not any available. So the kids slept on the floor with pillows from the king bed.
I liked the location. It was the perfect distance between Savannah and Hilton Head.
we were upgraded at no extra charge to a nicer room the breakfast left a little to be desired
The friendly staff, breakfast food and the convinience to a strip shopping mall and the pool.
Booked hotel on booking.com & wasn't charged rate that was confirmed
Under construction right now. Would have liked to know that before hand. Had a really bad smell. guessing from the construction.
The staff were nice. The facility was clean. The decor was nice and modern. The cookies in the lobby were good. There was enough information on finding things to do nearby. There was a bad smell in one of my rooms that didn't go away. The breakfast could have been better. The omelets were laughable and the pancake machine didn't work. The sausage was salty. The king suite was misleading. I thought it had a king sized bed, a queen sized bed and a sofa. It really had a king sized bed and a sofa that pulled out into queen sized bed. I could have saved $20 and got 2 rooms with two queen sized beds.
Pool facilities are great, the lay-out of the resort good, good amount of shade around pool good waiters to come to your chair. The resort location in Port Royal was good close to good golf courses. Check in was easy and check-out a breeze! Staff were friendly and helpful! no negative items
Beautiful location on Hilton Head Island, with great beach and pools, whirlpool. The grounds were gorgeous and well maintained. The bed was extremely comfortable, rooms were very clean and quiet. The staff was awesome...classy place!
location, atmosphere, staff, hotel condition, location messy, too many rules, poor hours of operations,
The Westin is a very nice, Vegas style resort hotel. I would have liked to have seen the areas around the pool decks kept a little more ship shape. There were lots of leaves on the seating and decks. It seemed like they were on their off season staffing levels, so not all tasks were being attended to immediately. If I had paid full price to stay, I would have been disappointed.
Beautiful location, modern clean rooms, very nice pool area, very friendly and professional staff., That I did not stay long enough
View and staff . The restaurants are overpriced!!!construction workers started at 7 AM very loud for a light sleeper.I understand the importance of starting early and beating the heat. However those rooms should be discounted.Nothing like opening up your window to see workers on the roof and hearing saws on your vacation.I must say the area that they are working on will have wonderful view...lol
Extremely clean + well appointed rooms and beautiful beach. Pools were excellent and the hotel had a luxurious feel to it. Staff was friendly and helped when asked. When I checked in, they asked when I would check out. I told them I would check out at the latest time which they said was 12PM. They DEACTIVATED our room keys by 10AM. We had to wait for 15 minutes (wet from pool + beach) for someone to come to let us into our room. The women who came acted like this situation is normal. (Never happened to me at any hotel I stayed out.) You shouldn't ask for check out time if your not going to keep my keys active until I actually check out. When we got to our first room and attempted to turn on the shower, sewage came out from the tub. It was disgusting but we were immediately given another upgraded room and everything was fine.
Ocean front . Parking
Tychelle at Guest Services was excellent. The room, in particular, the bath was excellent. Several excellent quality, local eating places within 1.5 miles of the hotel on Mathews Dr. @ the Bi-Lo shopping center. Plantation Cafe has excellent breakfast & Fiesta Fresh Mexican Grill is excellent low priced Mexican food. There is also Italian Restaurant and an Irish pub. All have excellent Yelp reviews. Appears staff was weary, not very customer focused. Seems they are pushed very hard to upsell the resort/beach view rooms. Very limited/nonexistent guest activities during off season and with construction underway - noisy. Not a good value for $22/day resort fee. Threadbare pool towels, hot tub not clean. No bar service at pool/activities area.
Close to golf, 2 min shuttle to the beach, and close to activities for young children. Adults and couples with older kids would be better off elsewhere Secluded, once you are at the resort, you are at the resort. Access to everyday items, a lighter, groceries, etc... pretty limited. Get anything you want for the trip before you get to the resort.
Quality of the staff and hotel was excellent. The setting is beautiful and close enough to restaurants, shops, and attractions to walk, but far enough away that you felt like you were on vacation. The only small question mark we had was the quality of the pool. It was perfectly adequate in size and similar to most hotel pools, but it did not match the quality of the hotel itself. The deck chairs were plastic and the larger resort (Sea Pines) had run of it, so it was very crowded with children and others. It would be nice if the Inn at Harbour Town had its own pool.
Wonderful hotel. Staff was very helpful. Room was very nice and spacious.
I and my family really apreciated the welcoming presence of lemonade, iced tea, and water on the hot days. I also apreciated how the staff was able to say my last name correctly. Imediate access to coffee in the evenings.
The hotel was in a beautiful setting, with the golf course surrounding it. The staff went out of their way to make our stay wonderful. They remembered our names and welcomed us each time we entered the facility. The rooms were very spacious and the bathroom was incredible. Everything was amazing. I wish there was a way for them to get the landscapers to not cut the grass, power trim the hedges and use the gas blower while guests are sitting outside on the patio trying to relax. I understand that the attention to the greenery is why the property is so beautiful, I was just hoping there was a happy medium.
Staff was great, accommodations were just what we needed
Room was clean, bed was comfortable, nice porch area. Staff was EXTREMELY unfriendly & unhelpful while we were checking in, check out staff was great. But check in staff acted like we were the last person they wanted to talk to and they had us wait for 15-20 minutes at the unattended counter before anyone even appeared and gave no apology. I also questioned why vehicle information was needed and the answer given was 'because they need it' and I asked again because I don't usually give out license number and car description without a cause and then she rolled her eyes and stated that it was in case of cars loitering, to which I then filled it out after my annoyance level growing even higher towards her. The two boys the next morning were great though, like i said. Very helpful.
Kitchenette in room. Nice facility. It's not in a beach and just off of a main road. Not much property but cute pool area with pretty surroundings and easy access via car to all of Hilton Head.
Good location (across from the Fresh local supermarket) Good size kitchen for extended stay Breakfast (cold continental with toasters) Things are showing their age and use: the carpet, the interior, the bathroom, the tennis court (unplayable-needs major repair), the bathtub drains a bit slow, etc.
Pool rooms Staff could have been kinder and breakfast needed protein
Noisy refrigerator. Staff did not respond to our complaint.
The guy who covered the front desk in the afternoon was extremely helpful and friendly. The room was nice and comfortable. The pool and hot tub were nice. The grounds were pretty and well maintained. It was a good location. Easy drive to beach. Only issue was unhelpful and unfriendly woman at desk in the morning.
Close enough to Parris Island to see our son, a short drive to the beach. Room was clean and comfortable and larger than expected. Nice to have a kitchenette. Nothing really.
The cost was reasonable and the room was extremely comfortable The mattress was so comfortable, usually a rare thing in a hotel/suite that is so reasonable. Enjoyed the daily maid service. I liked everything about Parklane. The complementary breakfast was nice . My idea of breakfast is more likehot grits, eggs and toast. This was nice anyway.
Location TV broken upstairs. Woke up at 3am by noisy neighbor. Turned on the lights and saw a huge roach run across the bathroom vanity. Could not sleep the rest of the night.
I loved the hotel layout plenty of room I didn't not like that fact that we saw dust over the furniture & hair inside the tub.
Room was clean. There is an $11/night fee that is the small print. Misrepresents the cost for the room. Would have liked to see the breakfast contain some type of meat and eggs.
the Barony Beach Club exceeded our expectations. The accommodations were first class, the amenities numerous and the grounds impeccable and well groomed. Our suite had everything that we needed and more including an ocean front balcony. We'll be back!
This guest did not leave comments about this hotel.
Ocean views, beach proximity, inside and outside pools, locker rooms, activities, use of amenities after check out, incredibly helpful and knowledgable staff. Great place!
We have stayed here twice this year and will go back many more times. The hotel is fantastic and surroundings are just as nice. No
Our stay started off with having to change rooms immediately, we had waited a long time for the room to be ready then the room was filthy when we got in there. The next room was ok but missing things, plus our dryer burned our clothing, which they repaid the damages. The replacement dryer was almost as bad. One of the outdoor hot tubs was so hot you could have been burned in it. really was not a very nice vacation..will notstay there ever again. Give me the Grand Ocean anytime.
I have stayed at other 4 and 5 star hotels in the past but i must say that if you are to consider the room rate against the comfort of the rooms and hotel overall it was probably the best place i have ever stayed. Nothing at all. The family loved it all and we are sure to book again on this type of villa settings on our next vacation.
A beautiful location in Hilton Head Island, Barony is on the beach and has all the elements a resort should: pools, hot spas, spa services, exercise equipment and gas grills for outdoor cooking.
We've stayed at the Barony several times through Interval Int'l. Our recent visit was for a long weekend and we used priceline to book our room. The rooms are spacious and the units are very comfortable.
Cleanliness Noisy air conditioner. Not on Hilton Head. Tried to cancel the second Nite but was told they couldn't do anything about it even though the website stated "easy cancellation". I was told to contact Expedia. When we tried to get our room moved because of the noisy Ac the front desk was at first very unaccommodating.
value, very clean Air condition system was VERY loud
The hotel was centrally located. Very close to outlet shopping but a bit of a drive to the beach. From our room we had a view of the intercoastal waterway. Very beautiful. Hotel was very quiet and comfortable. Staff was very friendly. Not a whole lot I didn't like I would defintely stay here again if I was not planning on going to the beach. We were in town for shopping and golf.
The tv took 5 seconds to change the channel
Have stayed at this facility many times over the years and have found it to be quite nice and reasonably priced.
Staff was friendly. The hotel was quiet. Street view, only one bed was made hen room service came. Not enough parking. Room smelled like smoke.
Great breakfast & very accommodating staff. Facilities impressed me as a little worn, dated. Not what I anticipated based on other reviews.
I called ahead and requested a high floor room away from elevator and breakfast noise in the morning and they accommodated us. The staff were very nice. Hard to find but just look for Ashley Furniture and it is located right behind it.
On the beach, but not a great view. Elevators are not located close to all rooms, so it is a hike up to the third floor every time. Rooms are older and the bed was not comfortable. However it was priced accordingly, so if you're looking on a budget, this is a good option.
Loved the view of the ocean and being ocean front Room was clean and recently renovated
Convenience to pool and beach and resort restaurants are close. The units had everything we needed and very clean. Accessing the building was a little difficult. Elevator at one end only (farthest from beach), hallways closed off and not.
Beachside Great people Small rooms...but they are just condos
location was awesome, walk to beach and pool across nice boardwalks. bike rental place on property. very close to whole foods, kroger, starbucks was very convenient. unit was advertised as having "Ocean-view" which we paid extra for. Disappointing to find out that we had to stand up at one corner of balcony and stretch our necks in order to see the ocean. Sitting on the balcony had no ocean-view just parking lot. Check out at 10 am was somewhat early as well. 11 am would have been nicer. Building smells like old books.
The price wasn't bad for being beach front At first walking in the room smelled terrible. I can get over that but then I noticed roaches running around the room. On top of that a hurricane came through (we booked a month earlier) and needed to evacuate. The resort refused to refund us or credit us for the two nights we had already paid for. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
For business on Hilton head it was a good location but not for a vacation. Cleaning staff was friendly 1st,they close at 11pm. B there in time or you're screwed.Ext stay means people live there that cant live elsewhere. So very shady,5-6 ppl plus their kids smoking and drinking every night at the exit door. The elevator smelled like smoke. The worst was the older women at the front desk. She was mad at me for showing up at 10:50pm as she was closing up. She ignored me and another customer as she complained to herself. She finally engaged us and was extremely rude to the customer in front of me. Terrible!!!The customer left very upset and then she started in on me for not getting there earlier.I had no idea they closed but I had just arrived in town. This needs to be prominently displayed when u book. She reluctantly checked me in as she continued to complain. The room was fine, but dated and not dirty but not clean. Kept shoes on the whole time the carpet was scary and flip flops in shower. Hallways were pretty beat up.Do not go there as a vacation. I was there last minute to work alone and it was the cheapest I could find last minute so I just took it. If my family was there I would of left immediately.
Easy to get to. Plenty of car parking space
Cleanliness, quietness and location No dislikes
The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was very clean. The breakfast had great variety and well stocked. The fitness center did not have much equipment, however what was there did work.
Clean, friendly staff, & excellent service. Young man named Ray did an outstanding job setting up breakfast & maintaining it. A little pricy
We had no problems during our stay, everything was as expected. Comfortable beds and clean rooms. Hot breakfast was very good with plenty of variety and the staff did a great job keeping it full. If i had one complaint it would be the pillows. Nobody in the family really liked the pillows. Just not comfortable, but the comfortable bed made up for it.
Staff was very personable. Breakfast was amazing. Easy to find. We were totally satisfied and will return. A table in the room would have been nice.
Breakfast was good, Staff very friendly & helpful. Did not get in your way to replenish the supplies. Room was clean. We were put in an ADA room and the front desk clerk told us that since they were fully booked we had NO CHOICE but to take the room. We acquiesced, and put up with the ADA room for 3 nights. Having stayed at Hamptons' every time we travel, this was the first time to have stayed in an ADA room. The bed was very soft and caved in the middle.
