Fantastic views of the harbours. Short walk to shops and restaurants. Lovely rooms. Very clean. Good breakfast.
Friendly, helpful staff. Nice pool, surrounded by trees with great view of sea and castle. Bathrooms were basic and small.
beautiful view of the bay from our balcony
The hotel is in a fabulous hillside location yet within easy blocks of the beach and the downtown shopping area. It is an uphill climb to return but only steep at the very end. Nothing too daunting, and well worth the balcony view of the entire harbor. The grounds are beautifully blooming and well maintained. We traveled by car, but there is a taxi stand right outside the hotel. Lots of breakfast variety (OJ and omeletes extra) and the view from the poolside dining area is incredible. Great value for the price.
My wife and I were tierd when we arrived and spent a week by the pool in the sun and air or in the water. The view over Bogrum is lovely. We relaxed anf had a good week..
This was at least one of the most charming hotels I've ever stayed in, and I've traveled my entire life. I personally don't go for the silly extras, but I do look for quiet, romantic, lovely, with amazing views and privacy and charm. I loved every little thing, but there are small idiosyncractic things that were not perfect, but I feel one expects that in return for the tastefulness and beauty, and I also don't care. not really. I suppose I could recommend to go off season, since I wouldn't have liked it if the hotel was fully booked.
This hotel offered everything we were looking for in Bodrum. Fantastic view over the bay and the town. Close to the centre and beaches. The room was good size and comfortable + large balcony. Nice pool area and extensive breakfast bufet. We would stay here again at our next visit.
View, services and comfort I liked everything
the excellent breakfast, the clean swimmingpool, the beautifull vieuw the friendliness of the staff from time to time there was an ugly smell in the room
The room had a spectacular view over the Bodrum bay. Fruit and fresh water bottles were awaiting us in the modern and comfortable rooms and the balcony was so large you could have had a bbq with friends. absolutely fantastic. If any complaint (hard to find!) then the pillows on the chairs on both balcony as pool terrace were wet and not a pleasure to sit on. Removing them solved the problem at once. :)
The comfort room, the goergeous view at the terrace restaurant, pretty poolside Nothing special
El Vino Hotel has its excellent reputation (nomber one Trip Advisor 2009) in terms of service and comfort. The minute you enter the hotel, you feel a very cosy and charming atomsphere. Every thing resides in the details. It's a very peaceful place, with nice bedrooms and pool side. The staff was very caring for our needs and would do anything to please us. The breakfast buffet was delicious and the location is excelent as it's only a 5 minutes walking distance to town. My boyfriend and I had such a great time there as we really needed to relax. The food was also excelent and the choice of wine really good. I highly recommend this place and miss it already. Every thing resides in the details...you will love this place.
Staff was very helpful and pleasant. Location was warm and inviting. Very nice place and would have loved to stay longer. Dinner was wonderful as was the view. Accommodations were very nice and my wife and I had a wonderful time.
Deniz the manager and Pelin in the office were most helpful charming people who made us so welcome when we arrived and were always so pleasant throughout our stay. The hotel was very conveniently situated only 20-25 minutes walk from the harbour area in Bodrum yet was in a peaceful residential area and so very comfortable..the tea/ coffee and cakes served free of charge in the garden by the swimming pool every evening was a very nice touch. I would have expected fresh orange/ fresh fruit juice for breakfast in a hotel of this calibre...
Good location, well appointed room, good restaurant, helpful staff single beds
While the hotel is located in the midst of a city, the effective use of landscaping makes it feel like a garden oasis. It was difficult to enter the hotel from the top entrance with our standard transmission car because of the steepness of the grade; much easier to enter and park at the lower entrance.
We were at El Vino Hotel in Bordrum for one night in transit from Kos to Ephesus. The hotel is a true gem, with attentive service. The room was more like a suite with separate living room and bedroom. The pool is kept extremely clean and is surrounded by lush vegetation. You do not even feel that you are in Bodrum. It is an outstanding place to relax after boat rides or beachcombing. The personnel went out of its way to accommodate our needs. We highly recommend it and we are very choosy travelers. The location is not ideal in terms of view and proximity to the Marina, but a 10-15 minute walk is not a big hurdle
El Vino is set in a beautiful and peaceful environment - a lazy afternoon around the pool is a must. Staff are friendly and the place is clean and tidy. It's about a 10 minute walk down to the marina where many shops and restaurants or only a YTL 5 (approx £2.50) taxi ride.
The staff is very very friendly and the stay was very cosy. It was very clean as well and everything was tip-top. Best thing is that it's walking distance (3minutes) to the bus station and the coast ... so you can easily catch a bus from there to anywhere around bodrum even the beaches up north and the buses keep working until 3am ! Not at all ... very friendly staff, clean rooms, hot water, excellent service.
Nice room and hotel service A little bit dark in the night.
Although their English was minimal, the staff were very friendly eager to please. And despite the language barrier, they were very helpful when we needed advice about how to get around! While the hotel's central location was convenient, the only downside to that was the noise from the street below our window (mostly the drone of mopeds flying around at all hours.)
Really enjoyed our stay here. It's a quiet, simple, and cozy setup right off the main street in Bodrum. Mustafa and family were extremely nice and caring in making us feel at home and welcome to the pansiyon. I would highly recommend staying here for location, value, and a nice home atmosphere away from the noise of Bodrum. Nothing terrible about the stay. We wish there was clean towels and tissue paper more frequently, however.
The Hotel is so ideal for whom like Family business hotels. Very central location, just minutes away to the Night Life district. The staff is very friendly and trying to make your stay experience nice. Its garden makes you feel at home. Because of being a small hotel, the amenities are limited.
The staff was excellent and it was a good value for the price. I was surprised at the shower being in the bathroom without walls. I didn't mind it but I was surprised.
Perfect location (very near the beach and bus station), good service, modest price! I think it's ideal variant for travellers, who don't want to have expensive "all inclusive". Strongly recommended! There are only Turkish channels on TV. It will be better to have also channels in English (or Russian :)
The family running the hotel is fantastic, they do everything they can to make sure your time in Bodrum is relaxing and fun!! They are helpful and nice, I would highly recommend this hotel.
great staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms are small but have everything you need and are very clean.Outdoor pool area is great and close walking distance to main town and beach. no- we loved our stay at Artunc!
The owners make you so welcome great swimming pool hard to belive you are so close to the centre of bodrum a great location a great place to stay
Gonca and Erkan were gracious and attentive hosts who really looked after their guests. The hotel was a charming little place away from the noise of the beach and the room was very clean and comfortable. The ample breakfast in the sun by the pool was a good way to start the day and we really enjoyed our stay here.
Staff and swimming pool.
The staff was very very helpful. Maybe the breakfast could be diversified. All else was fine.
The family that runs the hotel is really helpful and friendly. For me as single traveller the central location, only a few minutes from bus station, city centre, shopping street etc. was perfect. The pillow was quite hard.
Very good location, nice staff, beautiful hotel in a cave. Bad smell in the bathroom.
very friendly and accomidating staff
Central location, basic but inexpensive
The management and staff at Hotel Gulec were very friendly and helpful, offering to recommend and reserve restaurants, directing us towards places of interest, and organising a trustworthy taxi driver to take us to the airport very early in the morning. The hotel is in a great location, close to the bazaar and main harbour. It was perfect for what we were wanting. There was some loud music from a bar down the road, though not the hotel's fault, and probably only audible to rooms on one side of the hotel.
Staff was friendly and helpful. Need a hand rail for the stairs.
I lıke the garden wıth a lot of beautıful trees and almost breakfast ın the garden, people are really frıendly and especıaly the woman who cooks the breakfast ı wıll mıss her and the hotel ıs really quıet but ın good place of Bodrum
A very warm hospitality! I reccomend this Hotel also for the good service offered from the staff. It is placed in a very good position close to the beaches and all the Bodrum night life. High recommended!!!
The traditional Turkish breakfast served on the small terrace/patio in the gardens. Beds are extremely hard - like all Turkish beds. Too small for a family of 4 in a quad room.
simple clean rooms, central position
My companion and I stayed at Gulec for three nights at the end of the holiday season. The staff were great! The rooms are basic but after all it is a 'pension'. The Gulec is about 4 minutes casual walk from Bar Street. It is what it is! V good value for money in a very busy resort. The Turkish brekfast may not be to the liking of some Westerners but you can get hamburgers etc in the resort or try Curleys bar (only a few minutes walk from Gulec) for a genuine sausage and bacon brekfast. nothing!
