Pros: Really charming ambience; the beds very comfortable. We appreciated the tea making facilities in our room as well as in the sitting room. The village was lovely and the access from the Autoroute after a long journey very easy and the contact as we travelled was very reassuring. The welcome and stay could not have been better. Will certainly stay again and recommend it to friends.
Pros: Lovely stay and made to feel welcome.
Pros: Very Nice place with a fire place, very Nice room and friendly owner
Cons: Open toilet in my room. But i do understand why they build it that way
Pros: Caroline is a gentle host, serviceable and serene. Drinks are available in the common room. Very good restaurants are only a short walk away. Perfect!
Cons: We did not find anything negative at all.
Pros: The quietness
Cons: Everything was perfect
Pros: Brigitte was there to meet us when we arrived earlier than planned and showed us the facilities, garden and our room. Our room was lovely and the breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Thank you!
Pros: The hostess was lovely, let us check in a little early and we relaxed in the lovely garden till the room was ready. The complimentary soft mini bar and fresh coffee was a lovely touch. Rooms were querky and highly finished to a lovely standard. The lighting outside was magical. Easy parking.
Cons: Really enjoyed everything
Pros: cozy accommodation, correct host, good breakfast.
Cons: The bedroom and the bathroom are far apart, we can go through only narrow stairs and corridor (for tall men, it's not so comfortable).
Pros: Everything. Passing through on way further South. Beautiful village, wonderful welcome from Brigitte. Husband had a pre-booked massage. Deliclious breakfast then in our way totally refreshed from ferry journey from Calais.
Pros: L'Hibernie is a wonderful place to stay. Not only is it visually pleasing, it is comfortable and the people who work there are lovely. Breakfast was amazing, thank you Brigitte!

Pros: Really nice, beautiful and clean location. Amazing garden and perfect for children.
Cons: The night we stayed was really warm but unfortunatly the room did not have airconditioning. The next morning we didn't feel as rested as we could have been in this beautiful hotel. Another downside was the fact the venue does not support creditcard payments.
Pros: Very friendly owner
Pros: The host was very welcoming. The accommodation was very clean and tidy, with very comfortable beds. The family suite was perfect for us and our three children. Breakfast was also a very nice continental breakfast.
Cons: The only inconvenience was having to travel out for dinner and drinks.
Pros: Great room in a lovely property. Very comfortable, spacious room and nicely decorated. Hosts very friendly and helpful. Great continental breakfast.

Located in the Regional Natural Park of the Haute Vallée de Chevreuse, the B&B is 1 km from the the Haras de la Cense horse riding centre and Rochefort Golf Course is 700 metres away.
Pros: Rochefort-en-Yvelines is a wonderful village in a very green area not far from Paris. The Nid de Rochefort is an excellent B&B with very comfortable rooms, ideal for a business stay but also for families. Wifi was very efficient.
Pros: This guest house is brillant. The host is extremely welcoming friendly and helpful. The bedroom was lovely large and clean. Breakfast was excellent and fresh. Well worth the money and I would definitily recommend anyone else to stay here. The location is ideal.
Pros: Very nice owner, ready to help you with some tourist advice (got some really good ones!).
Cons: Breakfast could have been a bit more varied, such as cheese, sausage, eggs or so
Pros: Room and location good.
Cons: getting into the property was a problem. the address given in booking .com was for the back entrance with no connection to the house. We waited for an hour before a neighbour told us to go to another street. They tried to get us to cancel booking.com and rebook privately. breakfast absolute minimum.
When you stay at La Ferme d'Armenon - Maison d'hôtes in Les Molieres, you'll be next to a golf course and 8 minutes by car from Golf de Gif-Chevry. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Le Ferme D’Armenon was a perfect start of our holiday: a very nice room, which had everything we needed, in a beautiful “ferme”. We enjoyed our breakfast in the quietness of the surroundings. Certainly recommended!
Cons: We were all a bit surprised by the excitement of the dog of the house while having breakfast. However, the hosts were so nice to keep the dog afterwards in the private part of their house.
Pros: Big bright room and a lovely welcome!!
Pros: Beautifully appointed. Wonderful aspects looking out onto gardens and surrounding farm. Excellent self service breakfast in a wonderfully designed dinning room. Beautiful interiors good WiFi .
Cons: Bath only in our room
Pros: Lovely setting and owners. Very well appointed rooms apart from temperature and internet.
Cons: Room was very hot despite it only being 23°C. The choice was either to open the windows and suffer the midges and mosquitos or stay hot and bite free! Fans or aircon are needed in the top floor rooms Internet not working in 'Picasso'.
Pros: Wonderful place to stay. Beautiful, calm, quiet surrounded by greenery. The hosts are very nice and our room was very spacious. We had wonderful breakfast on a terrace listening to the birds singing. All of this just 20 km from Paris. Amazing.
Pros: We were very comfortable in this accommodation that is a converted farm house. Our room and bed was comfortable, if a little odd in it's layout. The property itself is interesting and you really feel like you are in the country, even though you are only about 20 minutes drive from Versaille. The breakfasts were good with much of it being home made at the property. The coffee was great. We took advantage of the ability to order two dinners while at the property. Both dinners were home cooked by a local chef and were healthy and really tasty. After a day of driving or sightseeing, it was wonderful to come back to this quiet country location. The owners were very accommodating and made us feel very welcome.
Cons: There was nothing that we did not like.
Pros: La Ferme d'Armenon is located on the countryside, yet in the proximity of Paris (and highways leading to and from the city). We made a stop-over on the way to Loire-valley. Also very convenient location for those who are visiting Versailles. Welcoming and very serviceminded owner/manager. Spacious and nicely decorated rooms. Rich breakfast (for french standards).
Cons: Our room was located on the second floor. It proved to be a challenge to climbe the stairs with big (and Heavy) suitcase.
Pros: Amazing renovated farm in a beautiful area. Def worth the stay. Breakfast also very good. Lorison at reception went out of her way to help, very attentive and helpful. Rubish was not removed from the shared kitchen and bottles pilled up there for 2 days, apart form this, it was perfect. Def worth the stay
Cons: Extra bed given was an air cushion, not very comfortable.
With a stay at La Villa Rochette in Forges-les-Bains, you'll be 1.2 mi (1.9 km) from Golf de Forges-les-Bains and 7.9 mi (12.7 km) from Castle of Breteuil. This guesthouse has 5 meeting rooms available for events. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: We arrived a little later than expected but Florian & Loetitia were great communicators and were so warm when we arrived. They were very kind and made lovely sandwiches for our family of 4 after a long drive when we really needed something!
Pros: Nice place, nice people. We arrived on bikes in rain and they offered to dry clothes. We were able to have a meal in the evening which was a bonus.
Pros: Most helpful host and hostess. Very quiet, idyllic setting.
Pros: Convenient for short stay, comfortable room, friendly and helpful owner
Cons: Village and area not very lively, and a bit noisy from traffic
Pros: Large rooms Private parking
Cons: They missed our baby cot request And few other small misses.
Pros: The host was amazing and the place has a fantastic back yard. Breakfast was also really good.
Cons: I think we were very unlucky that both neighbors decided to have a party with music and loud voices. Therefore we couldnt sleep until late. Also the back rooms were very noisy so we could hear every single word our German Neighbors were saying. We are extremly focused on quiet place and the hotel did not align with that.
Pros: Beautiful and well kept surroundings, great village, very neat. And beautiful traditional countryside villa, really it was a nice contrast to the turist chaos of Paris.
Pros: Amazing property with lovely grounds and plenty of secure parking. The hosts were very friendly and helpful and breakfast on the terrace was brilliant. Close enough to Paris or other areas with restaurants by car (20minutes to nearest McDonalds or piazza hut), but far enough away to be out of the traffic. Room was very big with a lovely garden view/balcony. Will definitely return!
Pros: Very quiet, a large garden, room small but ok,very clean bathroom, very good warm water pressure. new and high quality towels, fair wifi, actually it is not a hotel (no lounge) but a maison d'hotes, a family renting out rooms in their home in a small French village, a car is absolutely a must since no public transportation is available, place very boring. The owners very kind and friendly
Cons: Bathroom absolutely tiny, not for claustrophobic persons,no minibar, lots of moquitoes, typical French breakfast where you had to ask for bread and coffee which were constantly finished, no fruit/vegetable.cheese,meat,just some croissants and jam and honey.
Pros: Everything was lovely!
Located in Bonnelles, Le Barn is in a rural location, within a 10-minute drive of Golf de Forges-les-Bains and Fernand Sastre National Technical Center. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk. This hotel has 2 meeting rooms available for events. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Everything is well thought; the food delicious, and the rooms cozy, but beautiful. The staff makes you feel as though you are visiting friends for the night (always good), and there is an abundance of activities to do around the hotel grounds.
Pros: - Breakfast is excellent, delicious and service at that time was great. - Rooms are clean, with nice furniture, decoration and bath products. Many ideas from the Ace Hotels visible here. - Surroundings are beautiful, nice walking, hiking and running paths. Free bikes provided.
Cons: - The "spa" is a disaster. There were no towels, and no sandals available (they'd run out). There is no changing area - there is only a single room for men with a toilet and shower in the same room, and no lock on the door. In front of this door there is a bench and some lockers, but no privacy and nowhere to get changed. The place was packed, and no one knew how to get from their rooms over the muddy paths to the "spa", then get changed and get back. Utterly inadequate facility and absurdly poorly managed. - Booked a massage and when I showed up for the appointment there was first no-one to receive me, then after calling reception someone came over and eventually knocked on the door of the massage room, the masseur came out and said "the previous person was late" and so my massage had to be canceled. Also, sorry, there were no other slots left in the weekend. Later, I was offered a drink as compensation at the lobby bar. I appreciated this gesture, but the effect of it was severely reduced when I was given a single drink while sitting with my partner at the bar, my partner was offered nothing. The barman poured me a glass in front of the two of us. - The rooms have no AC. Our visit was in winter (so we did not need AC), but even so temperature control was very difficult - we opened the terrace door to let air in to cool down the room, but doing so means there is no privacy. I'd be concerned about visiting here in summer. - There is no choice of pillows - only two very large hard ones which did not work for me or my partner. For a place in this price range, they can easily do better here.
Pros: Great bread. Liked having the bikes/billiards/rowing boat/Nordic spa whenever we liked. Loved being surrounded by horses.
Cons: Not enough horse activities/interaction with them. Although the food was great the "conception" method was too vague.
Pros: Peaceful location and facilities....friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: We felt the Barn had an issue with noise especially with many young children about....insulation improvement required.
Pros: Staff was lovely...
Cons: Very dusty and dirty, with wind blowing dirt etc into outdoor dining area... staff should water down dirt paths. No air conditioning is fine, but then they need screen doors so door can be open and mosquitos kept out. Much more modern and horse feel than i expected.
Pros: Everything was amazing,
Cons: the staff could be better with the single costumes, and not only with business groups.
Pros: great location if you like horses, friendly and competent staff, client-centered management, great food, peacefulness,
Pros: There wasn’t much that I like about the hotel
Cons: The put us in the wrong room, I booked a garden suite and did not get the room I had booked. The food was really disappointing. The rooms have carpets that get really dirty because if it rains there is mud everywhere outside. It was nothing like the photos or the lovely pictures on Instagram.
Located in Cernay-la-Ville, Abbaye Des Vaux De Cernay is on a lake, within a 10-minute drive of Chateau de Dampierre and Castle of Breteuil. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, a 24-hour front desk, and multilingual staff. This hotel has 7 meeting rooms available for events. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The location was great and the character and architecture of the buildings is outstanding. So much history in this place is unique.
Cons: The old bathrooms have character but the shower of our room was not practical at all and could be very slippery and could lead to injury. A lot of foreign visitors wouldn't probably appreciate such bathroom and also the lack of TV in the bedrooms. The restaurant is over rated.
Pros: Very beautiful scenery, relaxing greenery ambiance, amazing stay and perfect location for any event.
Cons: Actually i was there for a wedding event with 3 kids, we only wish if you had more choice of food for lunch & dinner special for kids under 10 years otherwise everything was amazing. Thank you.
Pros: The building was without doubt completely magical, stunningly architecturally as was the location and grounds. It exceeded all expectations. It was the most romantic place one could want for.. It was peaceful and the perfect resting spot after a tedious long drive. My bedroom was very comfortable, as was the bed with fresh crisp linen ..the lighting poor was poor in the bedroom and bathroom rather outdated .
Cons: I am afraid the staff were not of the standard expected of this kind of establishment. They were on the whole , apart from a charming girl on the check in /out desk .off hand , unhelpful , charmless surly and appalling dressed ..black tired ill fitting suits ..they looked like something of out a horror movie. The food in the restaurant for dinner was excellent but again the service did not inhance the experience.
Pros: The property has such a lot to offer, visually it is beautiful, and there is such a lot to explore
Cons: I cant think of anything that would have made it better
Pros: - the abbaye and the park are absolutely fantastic places - some members of the staff at the restaurant are very welcoming and attentive
Cons: - the overall service at the hotel is really bad, as seen below - the staff at the front desk is ill trained and not really welcoming, almost rude at times - the rooms are dated and ill maintained : it gives for sure a certain charm to it, but the hotel is not selling itself as a "vintage charming place" but as a luxury hotel, this is not the truth - the breakfast was a catastrophe 2 days out of 3 : not enough plates and glasses (!), empty buffet, water for tea not hot, impossible to cook the eggs as the boiler was not working properly, no egg cups (I was given a coffee cup!), staff exchanging insults in front of clients... I have never seen such disorganization in any hotel in the world - I had booked 2 rooms for the 40th birthday for my sister and I only requested a candle on the desert at diner. It was forgotten by the restaurant and I was very sorry for my family - the swimming pool was not opened in June - when our car broke down, it was impossible to open the gate for the repair truck as on Sunday morning at 10am the "guy in charge had not yet arrived". We had to beg to get the key and walk ourselves 800m to be able to open the gate. It was so rusted we could not. The hotel manager was not available and not reachable. It was the truck driver that helped us open the door.
Cons: Facilities and service
Pros: The property grounds and the buildings are spectacular for History lovers. If the weather is fine, it is really enchanting to go for a stroll on the property. Breakfast choices contained all delicious high quality natural products (eggs, ham, yoghurt, "fromage blanc", butter, jam, croissants, etc.).
Cons: The staff was not particularly knowledgeable, friendly or helpful. This comment does not apply to the charming Maitre D' supervising the breakfast buffet but otherwise there are too many examples to list here. One example - they wouldn't lend us a corkscrew for 2 min, even after begging at reception, although there was no minibar, no room service, pouring rain and we were exhausted arriving from a 15h flight. The room was dark and a bit sad, not at all romantic as we were expecting from the photos. Only 1 miniature shower gel bottle (no conditioner, no lotion) for 2 people felt very stingy given the price of the room! Large bathtub but we would have preferred a closed shower instead of a very cold and uncomfortable showering experience. No TV caught us by surprise at first but it would have been fine if the WiFi had been performing and stable.
Pros: Amazing buildings and surroundings
Cons: The staff wasn't personally, like robots. The meal was ordinary, expected more taste
Pros: Beautiful location and grounds. Wonderful dinner.
Pros: The entire grounds are absolutely beautiful. We were here for a wedding and was really something else. Staff (most) are very nice and extremely helpful.
Cons: That you NEEDED to make a reservation to eat. Travelled all day after not making a reservation for food thinking it would be okay to grab a small bite when we arrived but no. Chef was finishing up at 10 and wouldn’t cook us anything. Staff did manage to put together a small cold plate but wasn’t outstanding. Area is gorgeous but a little bit difficult to get to.
Auberge de l'écureuil is located in Saint-Arnoult-en-Yvelines. The accommodation provides free WiFi, as well as a terrace and a restaurant. At the inn, each room comes with a desk and a flat-screen TV. Guest rooms will provide guests with a wardrobe and a kettle. Versailles is 49 km from Auberge de l'écureuil, while Chartres is 45 km away. The nearest airport is Paris - Orly Airport, 46 km from the accommodation.
Pros: Beautiful old hotel (if slightly in need of refurb in places) Excellent food and the breakfast juice being freshly squeezed was just what the doctor ordered.
Pros: What a unique hotel. The owner shared so much history of the building and the surrounding area. Wish we could have spent more time both at the hotel and the village.
Pros: We had a lovely dinner in the internal courtyard. Casual but good food.
Cons: A nice breakfast but perhaps a little expensive.
With a stay at Domaine de Marguerite in Janvry, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Golf de Gif-Chevry and Paris-Sud University. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The little caravans were lovely and the animals opposite a site to behold - would be great for young families
Cons: It was quite remote and the restaurant was closed so had to drive quite a long way to find an evening meal
Pros: The chalets are fantastic and we were opposite a field full of sheep and a camel! Really well equipped chalets and really cosy too. We ate in the restaurant and the food and service was outstanding. Staff really helpful with the menu as it was all in French so he helped translate and he also let us try a few different wines which was lovely. The food was amazing, well presented and in a lovely setting. Really busy too and full of locals which is always a good sign. Would definitely stay there again.
Cons: The nearby town was very quiet with nothing to do.
Pros: Restaurant was good. Although very limited choice of dishes. (2 per course)
Cons: We arrived in the evening - it was terrible weather and there were no lights outside (apparently broken) and no path to walk to the chalets. The man who greeted us on arrival spoke limited English and was not very helpful. In the dark we could not walk up and down with our luggage to the chalet through the rain and muddy grass. Only other option was to stay in the family room - we had to pay the higher costs cash? THe family room was spacious but the decoration and finishes are done so cheap and it lacks behind in maintenance. All in all - would not choose to stay here again.
Cons: Limited space in the toilet-very compact.
Pros: Stunning house in lovely grounds. The family room was a good size and had everything we needed. The grounds/garden is contained, so we sat on the terrace whilst our kids and dog played in the garden. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Really fab from accommodation point of view.
Cons: They have a restaurant which, whilst the food is relatively good, is overpriced. As the property is quite remote, they seem to be catering to a captive audience. We paid more for our evening meal (2x starters, 2 x main courses, 2 charcuterie boards for kids & a bottle of wine) than we did for the accommodation. They also don’t really do food for kids or cater for allergies. We asked about getting a croissant and coffee for us/juice for kids to take away as we were leaving early the next morning and they wanted to charge €36.
Pros: Lovely setting with plenty of places for young kids to ramble around and explore. We had a lovely time fishing feathers out the fountain with sticks they’d found. Good wine selection, amiable host.
Cons: The breakfast is croissants and jam, no cheese or meat.
Pros: The domaine is conveniently located near the Paris ring way. The family room we had was huge and clean. The estate is fairy tail like and worth a good stroll. There is a large shopping center within 10 minutes drive. All in all a good option for an overnight stay.
Cons: The price is rather high considering lack of services and finish touch. The family room for example is above the old barn, which is reached by a steep stairway, which is not fenced. Making it very unsafe for younger children. The room was clean, but very sober decorated (no trash bin for example). But one must take in account that all accommodations near Paris (ring way) are highly priced.
Pros: Its a really lovely countryside location - birds singing and fresh air all around. Team were flexible about the arrival time and generously received us 2 hours early.
Cons: Although the restaurant is on site, it functions completely separately from the accommodation. I left a note when booking on the website that I wanted a reservation in the restaurant, but this was not passed on to the restaurant. Ended up looking for a restaurant at 1pm for lunch.
Pros: Rural very French
