Delightful location, lovely buildings and manicured grounds, tasteful decoration, comfortable accommodation, peace and quiet... enhanced by a smiling, helpful and professional staff.
Recommended by a friend, this was a real find, both the hotel, which was excellent, and the surrounding countryside, which was a revelation.
The staff was very good It was difficult to find- information on web site and signage were poor Noisey in middle of the night
Excellent quiet rooms and a wonderful seeting; everything perfect arranged with outstanding breakfast. The ideal place for relaxing in the Barolo Hills; 200 m. to Golf Course. Great hospitality - with a bottle of excellent Langhe wine from the own winery (totally new winery excellent integrated; unfortunately I did not have more place in the car)
Very agreeable. Simple but with a caring touch. Excellent buffet breakfast. Superb setting.
Beautiful location, very restful and relaxing. Staff was very accommodating and helpful. Bike ride through the area was stunning!
It was a return trip for my husband and I and we enjoyed it more the second time!
excellent attitude and friendliness of staff and owner, beautiful and quiet surrounding between the vineyards, excellent wine, general feeling from the house nothing
It was family owned and they were warm and welcoming. The view from the hotel was beautiful and peaceful. The town of Monteforte was charming!
great place to be and a worm staff.
Very nice location in the heart of Piemont, personal atmosphere and service, ideal for hiking in the vineyards, enjoying excellent food (truffles, venison,pasta...) in the Trattoria della Posta nearby, playing golf and relaxation. Cosily furnitured rooms, pleasant bathrooms.
Beautiful location. Stunning views over the Barolo hills. Well placed for visiting the Langhe region. The village of Monforte d'Alba is only few minutes driving away. Rooms are confortable and cosy, apparently just renovated.
A beautiful place, particularly for romantic trips. The food, chef and staff are all amazing. The WiFi signal should be stronger.
Attention to details that were client/traveler focused. Staff were not intrusive but readily available and attentive.Rooms and grounds beautifully maintained and supported a relaxing environment with beauty at every corner for all senses.
all of the staff including the owner Denise, were very friendly. they all new our names and provided excellent suggestions for traveling around the area. the food at the castello was fabulous not only for dinner but the breakfasts were outstanding.
No one else was there Beware of barking dogs all night
the location was beautiful, surrounded by a cathedral, vineyards, rolling hills and other homes similar to Del Tufo - Bruno and Agatha made us feel welcomed and at home in their home. It was difficult to find - Google maps does okay to a point, but route #'s end at a certain point and you're basically on your own - a detailed map would be helpful.
Tranquil atmosphere. Fantastic views. Charming hospitality. No air conditioning. Staff couldn't speak one word of English (and we can't speak Italian)
The hotel is absolutely great. We really felt like at home. The owner, Bruno, offering great service and treat you like his best friend. Rooms are excellent, breakfast is great. The view is just fantastic. It's a pity we had only a few days there and couldn't make testing of their own wines. I will definitely go there for more.
The people, the wine, the area. In fact - everything, except the pizzaria down the road who appeared to have a dislike for English people.
Nice setting in the middle of the Barolo region, stylish casle-like building, beautiful view from the top floor (rooms 1-3). Rooms 4&5 are dark basement chambers, breakfast consists of Cafe Americano and industrial croissants, the settlement (Pierno) has no Bar or Restaurant besides the Arco Dei Nobili eatery.
