Overview

Rating

It is in the name, Renaissance, that something innovative exists. Therefore, it should be no surprise that the Renaissance Boston Waterfront Hotel is fully equipped with top-notch amenities and does not cut corners when it comes to luxury. This is obvious given that the hotel was just built in 2008 and already renovated in 2017.

Located in the Seaport District of South Boston, Massachusetts, the Renaissance Boston Waterfront Hotel is in an optimal location for a romantic celebration, business event, or exciting vacation.

The Pacific Grand Ballroom makes a beautiful wedding reception venue. This 10,744 square foot room can hold up to 1,000 guests! Not to mention that there are 471 guest rooms for any late-night wedding dancers or out-of-town guests. The flower girl and ring bearer probably wouldn't mind visiting the Boston Children's Museam which is located less than 1 mile away.

Nothing says “business savvy” like 10 designated meeting rooms and a location that is walking distance from the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center. The Renaissance Boston Waterfront Hotel provides functional meeting spaces with beautiful coastal views.

Guests can choose from single rooms, double rooms, and suites. Each guest has access the property’s indoor and heated pools, sauna, hot tub, and fitness center for leisure. In terms of dining, there is a convenient restaurant and bar located on the hotel property. Room service is also available in addition to breakfast. Furthermore, Sam Adams Brewery is nearby for guests who enjoy letting loose with a cold pint.

Clearly, the Renaissance Boston Waterfront Hotel is able to cater to a diverse demographic due to its top-notch amenities and multi-lingual staff. Guests can enjoy an ocean view and easy access to local attractions. The 20,000 square feet of meeting space ensures that events of all kinds can take advantage of the property. Much like the Renaissance era, this hotel is a symbol of innovation.

Pros (+) Good location, friendly staff.
Cons (-) Room was really small. Bathroom was very tight. And the beds were not comfortable at all, which was surprising.

Pros (+) The location was perfect. Great view of the Seaport and water. Neighborhood seemed safe and commercial. The concierge suggested a couple of in-the-know place to see in the area.
Cons (-) Parking was not included in my nightly rate. Parking around the hotel was somewhat difficult to find; was able to park in the street because of the holiday.

Pros (+) Location
Cons (-) Exercise facilities were packed in mornings and hotel restaurants and bar closed early around 11 pm, even on weekend nights. Having stayed at other hotels in the area I would say the price was a little high for the accomodations but defintely not ridiculous.

The only problem we encountered occurred at check in......which was close to 3:00am. After flying all day we finally arrived,in the pouring rain. the parking attendant was so engrossed in watching a movie on his phone t...
Cons (-) Concierge not helpful. A few staff absolutely cannot communicate with virtually no command of the language. Bellmen were NOT helpful other than to get our car. They don't open doors.......don't help if you have packages........concierge also not real helpful. Gave us misinformation re trolley tours......not particularly friendly or helpful.
