Since I first stayed in Sept 09 the hotel has undergone refurbishment and is a very pleasant place to stay. Food is excellent and plentiful.
Comfortable bed, location.
The staff were very friendly and could not do enough for you. Brilliant really.
The room we stayed in was dated and in need of upgrading. There was only one lift which was very small (1 person). Again this only went to the 2nd floor which still left steps to take a child up and still required 3 trips with the luggage to the room due to the size of the lift.
The location was ideal. It was very central, only about ten minutes walk to the beach and in a good area. Free onsite parking great as parking in Bournemouth can be hard to find and/or expensive.
The room (40) was in need of a make over. It was a bit shabby. The hotel is not really suited for guests with disabilities as there are lots of stairs and the lift is tiny - suitcase sized.
They have trid to make it a modern hotel which has half worked. Still a bit more to do.
Heated Towel rail was on and couldn't be turned off (Room 2). Asked at reception to sort and got brushed off 3 times. Middle of August so extreamly uncomfortable nights sleep. Small lift had to carry buggy up stairs.
