Cons. Very disappointed. The room looked old and was basically dirty everywhere. Even the walls and doors had dirty streaks and marks on them. The pillows smelled bad, but the staff was excellent as they replaced them quickly and without question. The walls are very thin, too, so you could hear the TV next door and noises from the hallway. Not at all worth the price - expected a lot better. EDIT: Also forgot to mention the terrible water pressure in the shower, the fact that the "hot" wasn't even hot, and that I had to turn the temperature a little colder in order to make the water a little warmer (still wasn't hot). Basically, the knob had to be at about 3/4 to hot to be the warmest it could be. They clearly did some cosmetic updates (mostly to the bathroom) but everything else is dirty and out of date. Again, the staff was awesome and very nice and friendly at all times... but the room was very bad considering the price.
Pros. - ALL the amenities in the room and hotel in general, it's basically a apartment building and the rooms are basically apartments. i truly wish i could live there! it had everything i needed! - it was clean, comfortable, and great for a week+ stay. - the extra little perks they provide - buttered microwave popcorn, sugars/salts/peppers, cooking/eating supplies, multiple chairs, 2 different pillow types, great bed, great workspace/desk, big screen tv, DVD/VCR player, even the freezer had a ice maker! everything was clean and in working condition. - the whole Candlewood Cupboard, the free washers/dryers, etc.
Cons. besides the wifi, i'm kinda reaching with the rest of these 'complaints' lol, i truly did love my stay here and wish i could live here! - the wifi password having to be changed because it's not done in a smooth procedural way, and hotel guests went X hours without their promised wifi during this weekly change. - 2 of the 5 washers were out of order during my whole week + stay. - the location isn't very good for MBTA users because you have to do a long, partial sidewalks walk to Granite for the bus stop, not fun to do in the summer with luggage so it's best to have a car if you stay here. - the bottom kitchen drawer where the pots/pan are kept was not in working condition when i arrived... - a couple staff were not very hospitable and courteous.. maybe i caught them at a rough time?
