10.0 Excellent

Pros: The Decore of the hotel and the rooms was really olde world in keeping with the property. Very pretty
Cons: We had a beautiful room that we retired to early after a very long days driving. Unfortunately it was right above the band in the dining room. Even though the music did not go on forever, it really interrupted our sleep pattern.

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Beds were very comfortable and the cottage was great for the family.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The double room both with a tv. The location. Walking distance to town centre.
Cons: No shower door so the water went everywhere.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: There was plenty of room in our cottage for all 4 of us. 2 adults and 2 children aged 7 and 5. The kids loved the access to the pool and the pool donuts even though it’s not heated. We could let them use their scooters as it was safe and flat surfaces . The staff were helpful and answered our questions well.
Cons: Squeaky board floors at night when you went to toilet . We were trying to be Easter Bunny and the floors might have woken the kids as we prepared the trails. No powerboard outlets in kitchen or microwave safe cooking bowls . Had to change power cords for each appliance when wanted to use it . A.step between the main lounge and back areas was hard to see and I stumbled down it before I realised it was there . I mentioned it to staff and they helped us by giving us some bowls and noting the safety issue with the step. Safety locks on screen doors didn’t lock. Some modern bedspreads or quilts would brighten up the decor .
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved everything about it, it was home away from home. the owner is lovely and very helpful
Cons: Nothing
4.3 Okay

7.5 Good
Pros: Biscuits and tea/coffee/bath products were great. Ample heating, good car parking, nice and private location.
Cons: Decor is due for an update (eg some blinds didn’t pull up/were jammed down and stained), had a bit of a smell at first (eg not a fresh smell), maybe something (jug) to use in the microwave & a set of powerpoints so you don’t have to pop the kettle and the toaster on the fridge.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice and big for 6 of us. Heaps of room. The backyard was great!

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Clean and functional rooms. Beautiful dining room.
Cons: Very plain decor

Cons: The Staff attitude
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I had booked this hotel some time in the past. My circumstances had changed, and I was no longer going to be hiring a car. The manager Andrew was able to put a microwave in my room so I only ate out once. I was able to walk to everything during the day (didn't need a car) and at night I just walked once into town for a meal. This felt very safe! Continental breaki was included in the tariff and was nice with 'proper' coffee. Stylish decor in room, spacious feel to bathroom and Andrew carried my heavy bag up the steps to my room. Andrew also helped with referring to a small group tour. Great Intro to Broken Hill! Was also able to share my initial taxi ride with another 'local' from airport - helped with fare cost.
Cons: Steps up to the room (I had a bad back) but manager carried my bag for me so it was not an issue.

5.8 Okay
Pros: The facility was extremely well located and easy to find with good access to restaurants and other shopping facilities in town. The facilities in the room were adequate for the price and the beds were comfortable and the heater worked well.
Cons: The front counter was unattended when I arrived although they were very helpful when they did arrive. The lack of wi-fi facilities was a serious defect I my opinion.
7.0 Good
Pros: Free basic kitchen supplies, available swimming pool. Central convenient location and free parking. Convenient out of hours self check-in and check out.
Cons: Other guests were a weird mixed-bag. Untidy BBQ with no means to clean it myself.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: nothing didn't stop there
Cons: old dump!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: I appreciated the phone call from staff to confirm when I was arriving. The directions given made it easy to locate the premises. The room given was clean and tidy. The amenities provided made my stay comfortable and I felt secure.
Cons: Nothing. It is an old premises. It provides comfortable accommodation at a good price.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: I liked the location. All major shops and restaurants were within walking distance of the hostel, and the regional bus stop was not even a two minute walk around the corner.
Cons: I could not see myself spending a cent to stay at the tourist lodge in the future. The beds were awfully uncomfortable, the bathrooms and amenities were revolting, and the floors creaked as if concealing a rotting coffin. There was no soundproof whatsoever, and staff were not particularly pleasant. The kitchen had what was necessary, but the tables and microwave were not clean for the duration of my stay.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Right in the middle of Broken Hill and handy to everything. Basic but comfortable and everything was exceptionally clean. Friendly, helpful staff.
Cons: There were no tea bags
8.0 Excellent
Pros: very good budget / hostel style - have stayed some years ago - great location, only a very short walk from Coach stop and Visitor info centre, and actually clearly visible from the latter. Too cold for swimming pool at this time of year but sure it would be great spring to autumn.
Cons: all met my expectations for budget accommodation.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Our own table outside.
Cons: Very dated rooms.
7.5 Good
Pros: The staff were amazing, giving me a room with fridge and double bed. The rooms were very generous, the kitchen super with benches, stove, fully equipped . A pleasure to stay.
Cons: Perhaps the only fault was that one had to call for reception to open.
