Wonderful. The gentleman who checked us in spoke English and was most helpful including directions, maps, where to get gas, etc. couldn’t have gone better.

Customer service at Hertz Caen was exceptional. Patient and friendly explanations of how the Tesla worked to a novice Tesla driver like me. Minor downside was that the office was closed for lunch (when I had made the booking for 130pm) so we had to wait till 2pm till they opened.

Price on line was in CAD then switched to USD when heading to payment. Also, the Avis staff were trying to charge the same price but in Euros before we decided to book on- line. The daily I strange coverage was $40 Euros a day....so we used an on-line insurance company for $165 CAD for two weeks

When we picked up the car we were advised that the full coverage we paid for was not recognized by Avis. If needed, we would be charged for damage and the we would have to file with Kayak for reimbursement. Not the seamless process we thought we were getting.
