We arrived at the Hertz counter in Baltimore to a very long line. They had one maybe two people working the counter and they seem to just really be taking their time. After standing in line for almost an hour they told us they had no cars available and it might be an hour and it might be longer. They absolutely should have let everyone in line know the situation and that they did not have any cars. We had made a reservation quite a while ago for a luxury vehicle and then they treat us like that. We went down to Avis and they totally price gouged us to the tune of almost $2500 for one week. We are done renting from any of them. It is a scam!!!

Hertz didn’t even have the car I reserved when I went for pickup. It felt like that Seinfeld skit. Waited almost three hours and got a completely different car than I booked. Rent elsewhere.

The wait to pcum up the car was over an hour. The when I dropped it off I was charged for an additional day of coverage because I dropped it off 20 mins late, despite the fact that I got the car over an hour late the day prior. Never paying for coverage again.

Pickup took a most 45 minutes and when we got the car they didn’t run run it through a car wash so it was covered in salt/dirt making it hard to see out of the windows. Had to stop and get a car wash at a nearby gas station before starting my trip which was frustrating.

It was a very easy car rental experience. Gabriel was awesome!
The car had light on that said bring to deader for service. The person checking me in overcharged us for the second passenger and then when I returned the car the person checking us in ran my credit card without asking, thereby overcharging me. They said their manage could fix it but manager wasn’t around. Because they ran my car, I could not update my name or email in the system, which were both wrong, and I was told to do it next time I rent with them. There won’t be a next time…

The car only had a 1/4 of a tank of gas. The steering wheel mad noise. The interior was stained like someone had been murdered in the car. So many dents and scratches on the outside. For the money it was ridiculous.

I was unaware that the rental car place would be closed for the return.I believe the cleanliness of the vehicle was not up to par and that time needs to be taken to shampoo the interior. The seats were stained and the carpet could have been vacuumed. It did not feel at all comfortable. I believe the outside only was washed and that was it.

I booked this car through your website but you guys contacted it through Priceline. Priceline changed the location from the Airport location to a location 30 minutes away. I had to pay more to book a car last minute at the airport.

No one at the counter for 10minutes upon my arrival. The budget desk was located inside a hotsl which means vehicles are in a garage. He filled out the “damage” card at the front desk this not inspecting the vehicle. I gave the vehicle a look about, but as I stated, it’s a very dim garage with the car backed into the stall to where I can barely put my luggage in the trunk. I stopped at a gas station about an hour after having the car to find there was damage to the center of the rear bumper. I called budget and was told, “ it will be okay because the damage was previously reported so it will not reflect upon my 24hr’s with this vehicle. Upon dropping the vehicle at a separate location, there was absolutely NO ONE to accept the transfer on vehicle back into the custody of budget. Instead, there was a sign that read, “please leave the keys in the vehicle.” Myself and another woman customer was concerned as to if the vehicles would be safe. We decided to leave after approximately 15 minutes of no budget employees showing up to the drop off area.

The pick up was changed to Avis from Budget. The car assigned had an expired license plate. We had to go back to the desk to get a different vehicle. The return was also changed to Avis and we were never notified. It was dark in the early morning when we returned the vehicle and the sign at the Budget return indicating an Avis drop off was barely visible in the dark. Then the Avis agent Jesse said he was to busy to provide a receipt for the return. So I left the Avid return having zero proof I returned the vehicle! And, wound up paying over $110/ day for an economy rental car😢

The location was closed when I arrived. I was scheduled to pick up the car at 3:00pm and the place closed at 3:00pm. I was totally stranded in an unknown city! I called and explained what happened and they said they couldn’t help me. I had to call and book another car on my own! Worst customer service ever! Never rent through these 3rd party companies!!

Avis cancelled the car I reserved because they overbooked. I was on my way to pick it up when I was notified. Avis didn’t properly cancel the reservation; I paid for the insurance up front and can’t get it refunded.

All around service and process was excellent. Price was extremely high but it appears there’s a supply and demand issue among ALL rental car co’s driving up the price since COVID and maybe due to fleet reduction. But now everybody is traveling and not enough cars.

Gave me the wrong pick up time so when I showed up they were closed. The 800 number offered no help and were clueless as to how to resolve the issue...i.e. Get me another car asap from the nearest location. I cancelled the reservation and hertz made it happen with no effort on my part.

Kayak booked for wrong locationI booked a rental car to be picked/dropped at Baltimore airport through Kayak; however, the booking was done for a different location, about 30-40 miles from the airport. I did not realize that at the time of booking, as I had entered BWI as pickup/drop off location and thought that the address shown with my rental booking was for the airport Avis location. This was my first visit to Baltimore and and I have no idea of the name of roads for airport Avis location or otherwise. KAYAK SHOULD MAKE ABSOLUTELY CLEAR AT THE TIME OF BOOKING THAT THE RESERVATION IS FOR DIFFERENT LOCATION, PARTICULARLY IN CASE OF AIRPORT, AS NO BODY KNOWS/REMEMBERS AIRPORT LOCATION ADDRESS FOR EVERY CITY. the Avis staff at BWI airport was good and helpful. No after hours drop offConvenient location for drop off.Could not do an after-hours drop-off at Baltimore location, which meant we had to pay for a night of parking though we were done with the car.
I thought this location was accessible via BWI Rental Car Bus Shuttle, but it is not. Its a 40 min drive into Baltimore. Very far. Pros: Staff is incredibly kind and thorough. Car I rented was in great shape, clean and Drop off was smooth also. Overall 4 Stars from me. Only reason why not a 5 is because of the distance and lack of transparency on Kayak's website about that.

Make sure you double and triple check the location. I had to shuttle to one location only to find out it was the wrong location then had to Uber to another location 40 minutes away. Then had to pay a hefty fee to change the drop off location closer to the airport. It actually took me longer to rent my car than it took me to fly to my destination. Had to have so much paperwork to even rent the car...never again!

I DID NOT LIKE ANYTHING ABOUT THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I never finalized the rental. I hate their policy. I hate I paid ahead of time. I LOOK FORWARD FOR MY FULL REFUND. I left there HIGHLY UPSET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND NO CAR......... The staff were not professional, and the place was dirty inside.Their policy NEEDS a lot of improvement. The process was a long, drawn out ridiculous MESS!!!!! I felt like I was being FORCED to add collision to my insurance policy, just to rent a vehicle. I have Liability on my personal vehicle. I was NOT gonna pay more money, just to rent a vehicle for the weekend. I EXPECT MY REFUND, AND PROMISE NOT TO EVER DEAL WITH Next car, AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Friendly staff - no line, immediate service. Everything was explained and thorough. Saved a bunch of money vs. renting at BWI as we didn't have the airport-related fees, and the rate itself was much cheaper. Even with a few Ubers back and forth to make it happened, we probably saved $300 for a 12-day rental.Facility isn't the nicest in the world, but it serves the purpose.

The staff member who helped me was great - very professional and helpful.The office was dirty and needed a lot of maintenance. The staff member who was helping me was wonderful but the rest of the staff were being loud and goofing off - making it difficult to hear and very distracting.

Nothing. I just meet a fraudulent agent. I reserved everything online, and I bought full coverage as well. When I arrived at NextCar agent at Liberty road, Baltimore, the person told me that we can not give you the car unless you buy our personal full coverage ( the value was twice the typical one near 25$/day). They told me that I have to cancel the ones that I bought online. Officially they had no commitment to my online reservation.

Safety issues !!!Nothing to like in this placeThe cars are Filthy inside out. they don't take time to clean them, i had to change 3 cars to finally agree on one. the first one had a bold tires, the second one had scratches all over the car but you can't determine the damages as the body is dirty. the last one was OK with a bad tire sensor that kept displaying an error every time you start the car plus a change oil message that kept prompting. If i have time i would report them to the BBB. Not worth the money i paid. VERY disappointing that kayak list them on their website. i use to trust kayak!

ServiceThe car was decent but smelled funny, change the oil light was on.Service was terrible, was promised unlimited miles before booking but it wasnt true, they said faster checkout with a major credit card but still had to jump through many loops to prove I had my own insurance even after acknowledging that my credit card would cover me, a way for them to try and sell me unnecessary add ons. Tried to explain it to the associate but she shrugged me off telling me it's policy, false advertising is what it is.

Never againThe car worked.They were rude when we picked up the car, they were incredibly rude when calling our insurance provider, whom we know personally. They were incredibly vague about the drop-off policy and threatened an abandonment fee when I even brought it up. I called corporate to resolve the issue and the people I spoke to, serveral people, we're even more rude, dismissive, and insulting. I was out in hold mid-sentence and transferred without any notification to the stor, which had no idea why I'd been transferred. I completely regret using them. The car had an air freshener hanging from the nirror, but still smelled.

SCAMThe facility was not at the airport. The facility was closed before I was even reasonably able to travel the 30 minutes from the airport to get there. They transfer you to their "sister" company at the airport and apply "airport" fees to hike up your reservation. They steal your money with a smile on their face.
