The position of the hotel was fantastic In order to have a room with a sea view you had to have half board - I did not want half board and so was not able to have a room with a sea view.
Extremely pleasant setting with good views of Calella and the sea. Attractive gardens and terrace. We were very disappointed that the Hotel refused to provide even a simple snack at lunch time, which meant that we had to take a long walk into the town.
Wonderful location overlooking the sea. Quiet rooms, excellent air-con and attentive staff Disappointed with the table d'hote menu, so pleased not to be booked on half board
Room, balconies, view of Calella, view of Mediterranean, bed, bathroom, garden, artwork, breakfast, dining, cleanliness, location, ease of access to town and beaches, parking, owner and staff efficiency and courtesy, bar, calm and relaxing environment, everything! The facility to make tea in the room would be the icing on the cake.
Relaxing hotel in a great position
wonderful location it was up a lot of steps
Nice location, clean rooms, nice staff, very nice restaurant, nice breakfast Showers on morning difficult (temperature of water changing from burning hot to freezing cold), no internet and minibar in rooms.
Sant Roc is a very pleasant family run hotel in lovely position overlooking Callela. The staff were kind and attentive, the food good. If I were to go there again I would definately request a room overlooking the sea, as the rooms on the front of the hotel were a little small, as were the balconies. The only complaint - if you could call it that - was that the beds were a bit small, I was sharing a twin room with my travelling companion and we both felt that they could have been a bit bigger, and the they could have been a bit further apart.
Everything, the staff were great and the food was good. Absolutely no complaints whatsoever.
Breakfast in garden, provision of beach towels, cleanliness, news every day printed out in four langauages cannot sit in garden for lunch or dinner if you pay half board, disappointed because of standard room overlooking noisy street, no balcony, nearest beach not really good for swimmers
nice breakfast til 1pm, peace, calm, freedom...
we loved the peacefulness and simplicity of this hotel. It was such a shame that the weather wasn't good enough to swim in their lovely infinity pool. It had a beautiful location above the town of Llafranc. I didn't realise, even after reading all the reviews, that there was no restaurant at all.Only the room for breakfast. It was also a pretty steep climb back up to the hotel from the town. Good for getting your heart rate up, but not if you were disabled in any way. A bit surprised it had such rave reviews.
It is with pleasure that we confirm this hotel, its location, the absolute quality of every aspect of the building, the rooms, the services, the pool and outside relaxation area, is one of the most pleasant holiday experiences that we have had the joy of receiving. The welcome and the services that the lovely owner family provides makes everybody feel, just that, a part of a family on holiday. The additional benefit of the most fantastic peacefully quiet location on the hillside overlooking the bay of Llafranc with its open and wide ranging, stunning views endorses the speciality of the place. A marvellous holiday experience. Not a single thing
Lovely quiet location, spacious rooms, comfortable bed. Breakfast was excellent and beautiful views from balcony. The location on a steep hill makes it a hard walk up from the port on a hot day but for active people like us it was not a problem. Needed a fridge in the room to keep water cool.
The staff were helpful, friendly, and treated us like family. Everything was clean and beautiful. The breakfast outdoor area and breakfast choices were fantastic and the best part of our trip to Llafranc. We were impressed in every way. The location of the hotel is set back from the beach which was nice since it was a short walk, but felt like a bit of a retreat from the busyness of the beach crowd. No.
Friendly owners, attention to detail (e.g candle lanterns in the garden after dark). Large, comfortable rooms and de luxe bathrooms. Clean, new swimming pool with plenty of loungers. Beautiful views of the bay and within walking distance of lots of places to eat. Comfy sofas in the bar area would have been nice, as would a greater variety of fruit and cereal in the breakfast buffet.
The gorgeous views of the water from our room and patio and from the breakfast patio - a superb location! The owners were very helpful and friendly, and recommended a great restaurant for lunch. The breakfast had plenty of choices and delicious coffee. And there is a coastal walking path from the town of Llafranc with beautiful views. I would love to return!
Family run and very friendly. Rooms excellent and views superb A steep walk down to the beach and restaurants. For summer a swimming pool would be nice
The view was beautiful. The room was very comfortable and the family running the hotel were very friendly and obliging as was the small staff. Although we wanted a quiet hotel we felt it to be a little too quiet. We would like to have been able to have a quiet drink in the bar or on the the terrace when we returned at night but there wasn't any bar to speak of and the lights on the terrace were always switched off. One other small thing was the lack of any mirror in the bedroom. A minor inconvenience but became slightly irritating as the week went on.
Staff was very attentive, sent out of their way to satisfy. Location is good, short walk to the beach and town. Breakfast was only fair.
It was a very clean and bright room, really wonderful staff and the hotel was beautiful. The lights in our room however, were not very good and we didn't have a table for our balcony like the room next door did and the tv volume was too low. Our room was also above the kitchen so it was really noisy! The hotel is gorgeous though and so friendly.
Very friendly staff who were very helpful. Views and lovely balcony overlooking sea
Lovely hotel in great location looking out over the Llfranc Beach. Ample parking and fantastic restaurant. A drink on the Terrace is a must for taking in the views. Try and get a sea view room as the internal rooms have no views which was disapointing.
Stunning location, tastefully modernised, great food and general feeling of excellent value for money.
I liked the Casamar because of its location and wonderful food. The hotel staff are all very friendly and made our stay very enjoyable. It did not matter whilst I was there but, in hot weather, the bedroom might have been uncomfortable because of the lack of air conditioning
perfect situation, excellent, creative cooking, great friendly staff. A great place for a relaxing break
All staff were very polite and professional. We were allowed keep our room for the day of departure as we were not going to the airport until eveing. As the weather was unseasonally cold, I think a fire (there is a fireplace) in the bar/restaurant would have been more inviting and cosy
facilities/service and location
Beautiful location in a beautiful and classy town. Tranquil and relaxed, right on the beach. Internet was borderline unusable.
View from the room
The setting was delightful, but we left 2 days early It was too, too quiet. It did not have a separate bar area to have a drink in a relaxing atmosphere, there was a total absence of entertainment, not even any background music
staff were very helpful, food delicious, breakfast great, position excellent right by the sea
The room was clean, comfortable with an excellent sea view between the pine trees opposite and exactly as requested. Restaurant service possibly suffered from an end of season reduction in staffing levels. Reception staff were generally pleasant but our welcome left a lot to be desired. The expensive breakfast would have been a more attractive proposition had the terrace restaurant, which did not open until 11am, been made available.
Cleanliness and friendliness of staff
Second time we have stayed at Terramar. Very good location in a lovely seaside resort. Staff friendly, helpful and efficient.
Friendly, courteous and welcoming. Clean, well appointed rooms. The bar staff could have been a little quicker and a little less forgetful.
location, the new rooms (they have old ones that araen't good), service attention. Bar and Restaurant prices
Staff extremely helpful. Cleaning staff pro-active and gave us extra pillows even though we did not request this as they had seen us use alternative bedding as pillows. Hotel was in a great location opposite beach. Despite having wonderful sea views the rooms were expensive when compared against the facilities of the hotel. Saying that, the village itself was expensive (restaurants, bars, etc) and so perhaps this price was competitive relatively speaking.
Very close to the sea front. Clean with friendly staff
Excellent service, very clean, excellent breakfast. Very good location for the beach and the coastal path.
The hotel overlooked the village and the beach. It was in easy walking distance of restaurants. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We felt well looked after.
We loved the hotel. Wonderful position - sea view rooms with perfect view. Nice dining room and very good breakfast. Staff very polite and very helpful. Nice to sit outside with drinks at chairs tables and umbrellas provided. We were delighted to find such a nice hotel that would accept pets but were a bit taken aback by the price. 20 euros per dog per night. We have four small dogs and take them everywhere and this is by far the most we have ever paid. I did speak to the owner to see if he would do a "deal" should we come again but the answer was "no". Pity!
The location is amazing, the staff were very helpful. Worth paying more for the room with the sea view. Lovely lovely hotel.
Staff de la recepcion muy amable, muy buena posición del Hotel, cerca de la playa Demasiado caro, 125 euro por noche, al ser un 2 Estrellas. Desayuno sólo hasta las 10.30, las camareras son poco flexibles.
The Breakfast was excellent, and the staff were very pleasant. It was very centrally located. It was very basic, particularly, the bedroom.
The staff were very friendly and most helpful and although the hotel is quite old it is kept very clean and tidy and the breakfast and dinner were good value for money
Considering the low season and the very good price we were happy to stay at this hotel. The breakfast was good with a big choice (very good for a 1star hotel). The hotel is really very closed to the beach. The staff was reduced to the minimum because of the low season, but this was absolutely not a problem. Free WI-FI was also available. Some strange smell in the room, most probabely because the room has remained closed for a while prior our arrival.
The staff were very friendly and helpfull. The cleaning service was also excellent. We also enjoyed the location and view from the balcony. Very thin walls.
good buffet breakfast needs modernising
Good service a wondeerful breakfast and a reasonably priced evening meal. Friendly staff and we were able to take our dog.
This is a nice hotel, with a very good location in Llafranc. Staff was helpful and the included breakfast was really fine. All in all a pleasant stay ! the absence of air conditionning in the rooms, in an area which is very hot in summer is a big issue, making sleep very difficult. But then again you can't have a bargain price and all the amenities of a ***** hotel.
Hotel is old and in need of refurbishment room was small and hot as no air conditioning. However hotel very clean, good breakfast, lovely helpful staff and good location excellent value for money.
Clean, quiet hotel with great buffet breakfast and excellent location Female reception staff not particularly friendly. You have to ask for a cooked breakfast which is fine if you know!! It is not a question you are asked or told........
The hotel was very comfortable and breakfast was excellent with a wide choice. I liked the swimming pool which was very clean. Nothing
excellent breakfast great wifi very clean excellent and good parking
Good position in centre of village very close to the beach. Fridge in room useful. Great buffet breakfast available until 11.30 am every day.Nice swimming pool and surrounding gardens. Free internet access and wi-fi.
The staff were friendly and helpful, everything was clean, the breakfast was great, and it was well placed in the town to be near the centre, but quiet.
Excellent pool area and lovely breakfast - available until 11.30
This hotel provides an excellent value for you money, it is very well located and access to the beach is in within minutes. Staff is outstanding and it really makes a difference, especially the team that attended us during breakfast. Excellent language skills for all the staff which makes the experience even more pleasant. Rooms are a little bit basic but comfortable enough.
The staff at the port bo were so friendly they made the hotel a nice place to stay.
excellent hotel wonderful breakfast friendly staff
Excellent location. Good modern room. View of sea. Pleasant staff. Very good breakfast. No parking.
Helpful and accommodating staff. We needed to leave early one morning before their scheduled breakfast hour and they arranged for us to eat earlier at another hotel they own just a block away.
Friendly reception, clean, comfortable bed, very nice breakfast buffet. Difficult to park close.
We love Llafranc and La Muntanya is a very good value in this small town with not a lot of options. It's just one block in from the beach, is clean and comfortable and the manager makes fabulous custom omlettes for breakfast! We would definitely stay here again!
Nice place, 20 meters from the sea. comforable rooms, good breakfast, and a really enthusiastic chap running the place. All good.
proximity to beach and restaurants
Spacious room for a 2 star hotel, good breakfast, ideal for beach. Parking may be up steep hill nearby. Hotel should make this clear in info.
Simple, unassuming hotel in excellent location a few steps from the beach. Newly done out in a plain but attractive and clean style. Reasonably spacious room for type of hotel. Small balcony with view of beach. Very helpful and friendly staff. Superb omelette freshly cooked to order for breakfast (cook's own chickens!). Two disabled parking spaces opposite entrance. Otherwise parking difficult near hotel but plenty of spaces on street 5-10 minutes walk up the hill. Reasonable price for the area and location. Could be some traffic noise at night and early morning (emptying dustbins) because hotel on bend at bottom of hill.
The Muntanya offers fairly basic bed and breakfast accommodation but being centrally located in the small town of Llafranc, with gorgeous views of the sea and coastline, it proved to be an ideal place for entertaining our family. Incidently, we had a room on the top floor which opened out onto a huge roof terrace - great!! Breakfasts could have had a wider choice of cereals for breakfast - only cornflakes.
