reception staff gave very good service - very friendly. The food was delicious, especially the Farmhouse breakfast.
The staff were excellent, very welcoming and helpful. The restaurant was excellent both in terms of quality of quisine and service Nothing . Everything was as good, if not better than expected.
Staff were excellent and very welcoming
Great staff and restaurant. Nice ambience in the hotel. Great views of the sea. The room had a strange smell
The staff members were extremely pleasant and helpful and the restaurant food was excellent
The evening meal was very good
The hotel had a relaxing feel to it, really nice room with sea view.
The very good restaurant.
superb location, nice clean room overlooking Mounts Bay, excellent dinner and breakfast .Room heating a little hot for us
The overall ambience of the hotel, the comfort, friendliness of the staff and the first class views from the guest lounge and the restaurant
The names of Cornish towns for the rooms a very nice idea Very clean and personal kind
Only stayed for the one night, all the staff that I saw were very polite and helpful, the room was comfortable and presented very nicely.
Simple, friendly - good pub - good breakfast. En suite bathroom was a bit cramped. General condition of the hotel was a bit tired.
Staff were great, kind and helpful. It was near sea with a beautiful pedestrian walk just 5 min walk. It was also near town centre and a Tesco Express for a quick shopping! Due to there being a (classic) bar at the ground floor in the hotel, there were loud noises coming out starting from about 8:00pm to midnight; it was weekday though! Also, I did not like the breakfast as there was a very limited variety of foods/choices for the breakfast.
The hotel is fantastic, had a great sleep which is unusual for me. N/A
The food was second to non. Close to everywhere i wanted to visit. Ran out of lobster, but i didnt dine until late, so forgiven.
Large room The shower was absolutely appalling. Luckily I was only there for 1 night otherwise I would have asked for another room
Food was good and the faclities although I did not get a chance to use them My room must have been near the kitchens and there was noise banging of doors till around 130am.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Restaurant very good. Gym/Pool only open between 10am and 5pm so never able to use facilities. Free Wi-Fi in room and rest of hotel never worked. Redruth is a dump and hotel has seen better days. The "extensive grounds" description basically means it has a long drive.
I went to the hotel beacause i attendend a 60th party there. It was just easier to stay there because we took the children. Its not a place i would stay offerwise.. It was clearly a very plush hotel in its day, but now it needs some money spending on the guest rooms to bring it up to date, double glazeing would be a start. It did snow on our visit to be fair. Again the staff were great.
Decor and nice food. Really good table service and helpful and attentive staff No free range eggs and dinner service a bit late for me.
the staff were very friendly and made us feel vvery welcome. no complaints at all
The food and and the wine were fabulous
The warm log burner in the bar. Good beer, nice food and friendly staff. The room was a good size and comfortable There was no soft seating in the bar and no guest lounge.
The friendly staff and the English country pub atmosphere and of course the country side. Because our stay was of a very short duration, we relied on public transport / taxis / foot for transport. Not the fault of the Hotel but incomplete info on the web site.
A very friendly family run hotel in the centre of the village. The rooms were a bit cramped, but extremely clean. The food was good. Not suitable for elderly or disabled. The stairs were very steep. The parking was tricky!
Friendly staff. Reasonably priced and extensive restaurant menu. Excellent location for West Cornwall. The parking facilities could be better.
The room was comfortable and roomy, as was the bathroom. The room had a good view at the front of the square and in the bathroom you could see the sea, which was good. My only complaint would have been at breakfast, would have liked more cold drinks available rather than one small glass of orange juice. At most hotels that we have visited you are able to 'help yourself' to these which I personally find good as I dont drink tea or coffee.
The personal friendly service by the owner and his family. Breakfast was the best of all the hotels we stayed out during our 4 week visit to the UK. The area must be promoted as a destination of choices, proximity to other places eg Penzance, lands ends, St Ives was great for ease of travel. Most of the village environment was everything I desired as a tourist.
Easy to find, good location Nothing to dislike
People and location
The breakfast was very good The Shower Room was extremely small
Excellant location at the centre of St Just. The staff were friendly and helpful, we stayed with our baby daughter and they were very accomodating. The room was very spacious and suited our needs. Felt that some aspects of the room were tired and in need of updating, particularly the matress and shower.
Owner manager very nice guy and all staff helpful. Food good but rather lacking in flavour.eg game pate tasted of nothing and lemon tart needed some lemon in it ! waitresses should keep a closer eye on diners to avoid long waits for attention which was difficult to signal when they are not looking ! however I enjoyed my stay and would stay again. I wish them success as they gain in experience. Great location and homely atmosphere both relaxing. Sorry.....see above ! mixed in with the good !
The location was lovely and ideal for walking. I found it very hard to sleep the first night because the walls are so thin that I could hear the guest in the adjoining room talking walking around the dog knocked over items in the room attached it sounded like they was in our room.
Very quaint accomodation
It was a lovely location, small and friendly and above all great value for money. The wind howling through the room!
Good all round deal. Room was a bit basic.
Excellent food, service and location. Slightly difficult to reach, and no map given. But the isolation was also a plus point!
Lovely location, cosy lounge, pleasant dining room and terrace.Bed very comfortable and huge.Lovely large towels. Hotel being renovated, wet paint everywhere. No bedside table for lamp glasses etc. Asked for a chair to use as table. Did not get one.No chair to sit on only bed. New owners been there one winter. Obviously working hard to get things up to scratch. Long way to haul cases to reception and then to room. No help available. Staff pleasant but were.busy from big function the night before. Tables not laid properly, no cruet, kept having to ask for missing items. Swim pool not up to standard, but in room brochure explained it is only still open at request from locals. It is due for refurb. Nice golf course overlooking sea, very close to lovely walks and pleasant little town of St.Just. When all work done, it will be fine and we would go there for ambience and area. Host friendly and hard working.
Fantastic cuisine, great staff, beatifull place. No bad points[one bad point for me,i did too short reservation, next time I wish to stay longer]
the breakfast. Staff attitude and honesty temperature and layout of room. lack of full facilities advertised.
Friendly helpful staff, delightful location, superb value for money, nice cuisine, impossible to fault, we would go there again One of the bedrooms was a little 'rustic' with a big skylight which let some light in at night, but apart from that no problems
Friendly, clean and accessible. Nothing
The friendly staff and the ease of 'feeling at home'
This is quite simply the best hotel I have ever stayed at. The room had the most beautiful view posible, you could see out to sea for miles. The room was perfectly clean. I could not fault the cleaners at all, they did a fantastic job every day. The owner of the hotel was amazing. He is the most helpful and friendly man you could ever have the pleasure of meeting. Everyday he asked us our plans for the day and then gave us information such as tide times, opening times, bus times etc to help our stay. He also suggested a walk between Sennen and Land's End which turned out to be the highlight of our holiday. The breakfasts were lovely and the choice was unbelievable. I had a different breakfast everyday and each one was excellent. I travelled with my brother, who is vegetarian, there was several choices for him to have for breakfast which was a great suprise. The hotel puts two folders in each room. One contains menus from local restaurants and pubs to aid your stay. The other contains information on the location of the nearest chemist, bank etc. Both of these came in very handy and showed that the owners really care about you. The check in was very quick and the owner also carried our bags to our room. He showed us around the room to say where everything was. One night, the 2 owners went for a walk to visit friends. They left a note on the reception table saying where they had been and giving their mobile phone number. They also left a mobile phone by the letter so that you could contact them if you needed to. The hotel was within 5-10 minutes or several quality pubs/restaurants and also the main shopping area around Market Jew Street. The hotel was also very quiet though, the only sounds we could hear was those of the tide and the odd sea gull. I am sure that I will visit Penzance again soon and this hotel is my one and only choice of where to stay again. No bad points. Cannot fault this hotel.
Great service and food! 10 out of 10
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Warwick House, our room was very comfortable and nicely thought out. Our hosts ensured we made the most of our holiday and gave us many suggestions for activities in the area. Breakfast was a real treat everyday. I highly recommend this choice.
The hospitality, food, accom, facilities and location. none
Totally an excellent experience. I have never stayed in a b&b before and this will not be the last. No bad points at all.
Cleaness of the entire house. Very impressive. View from the dining room is nice. Chris is a very nice person. Just 10 minite walk from the rail station. The heater in my room was too small to appropriately warm my room.
Made very welcome, helped me in any way they could, especially in arranging accomodation overnight in London. There were none.
The location and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The lighting on the staircase in the house adjoining the hotel
Its location On arrival our greeting was poor, they had no record of us staying luckily we had our booking.com copy, the room had not been vacuumed or cleaned properly and had an awful damp odour. we found the staff not very friendly in general disappointed with our stay.
Location was superb and picturesque, food was excellent and gravy was the best but limited choice, locals were really friendly and made us welcome, we were in the cottage next door and found the room (5) very small , We were next to the road and the front door and some people cant shut a door quietly as they enter and leave thats not forgetting the seagulls at 6am. We wern't fussed on the selection of beers and their prices .
The location overlooking the unique harbour could not be bettered and although being a busy pub and restaurant, we had a peaceful night.
staff very friendly food excellent very nice pub beautiful views all perfect for us
