10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was left for us in the common area in a picnic basket (so cute). There were fresh fruits, jams, yogurt, breads, and an awesome coffee machine. The location was ideal - in the heart of Burano just off the main strip but far enough away to not be bothered with crowds. I find most beds in Europe very hard but this one was just perfect for my timid back.
Cons: I honestly wouldnt change a thing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location. Cleanliness, breakfast, everything was great
10.0 Excellent
Pros: What's not to like! This little gem of a building, right by the canal, in one of the most colourful streets in Burano, was exceptional. (It's the green 3 storey one with the shutters in my photos). No reception as such, you have your own key for the front door of the building and can help yourself to any wine or beers from a chilled fridge in the reception area (leave ticket in room for charging later). Breakfast is laid out in a small dining area .... a numbered wicker basket for each room containing croissants, toast, jam, butter, fruit juice, yogurt, fresh fruit ... and lots more. There is a coffee machine to make your own and a huge selection of teas. The enormous room had a fabulous view right down onto the street below and the mini bar was well stocked too! Be warned ..... one night in Casa Burano is not enough!
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Authentic as well as nice & quiet
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The Casa Burano rooms (they have 5 buildings with 2-3 rooms each across Burano) are the perfect way to explore Burano without the crowds. We got there around 4 PM. By 6PM most tourists were gone and the tourists’ peak doesn’t start until noon again. And so we had the wonderful feeling of having the town for ourselves, a couple other visitors and few locals. If you add up the wonderful light that one enjoys early in the morning and at dusk, the experience was truly priceless! On top of that, the rooms at the Casa Burano are decorated with taste and the finest materials. In fact, they belong to the owners of the Venissa hotel, Osteria & Michelin star Restaurant on the Mazzorbo island (connected to Burano via a bridge). Worth checking out! We had one dinner at their Michelin star restaurant (out of this world) and two lunches at their Osteria (amazing value for money & great staff). Highly recommend getting their sommelier’s advice! Super wines (including their local wine production). The other night we had dinner at Il Gato Nero, a Bib Gourmand Trattoria right in front of the Casa Burano we stayed in. Fantastic tip as well.
Cons: We had quite a bad first night at the Junior Suite, since we could hear everything happening above us (old house, thin walls & floors). The team however was very nice and responsive and upgraded us to a Suite for the second night. Thanks again! Personally we loved the homemade bread and would have enjoyed more of it as opposed to the croissants & madeleines.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was great, the house, the room, the location. Good service and good taste. Giulia was really helpful in every moment
9.6 Excellent
Pros: A sleepover in Burano is a must for every traveller who searches for romantic places. Burano is much more charming by night when the crowds of tourist were already gone and you can enjoy the authentic little island. Casa Burano is just a perfect place to stay - very well designed and maintained. The way they serve the breakfast is really surprising and adorable. We very much enjoyed the room on the ground floor because we had a mini backyard.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: great location, great design, comfort and cleanliness of the room

8.0 Excellent

6.0 Good
Pros: Location was great Staff v helpful We made a mistake in not having breakfast It looked delicious on a beautiful doningroom
Cons: Steps into our room very close to the main stairs- dangerous
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Delightful refurbished old hotel. Can arrive by water taxi. Fabulous small but high quality breakfast spread. Very helpful reception staff. Welcome drink in the evening was a lovely touch. Lounge of 1st floor lovely and not often used. Rooms retain existing features. We booked suite with high ceilings, art work and small balcony to overlook canal. Some good restaurants in square. Short walk to St. Mark's Sq and Rialto Bridge.
Cons: Rooms on canal side are quite dark. Balcony very small - really just so you can stand out and look at canal. Rooms overlooking square will get sunlight. Shower has to be hand held. If use wall attachment floods bathroom. Understand this has to be case to retain original features in bathroom - but maybe a note or explanation on checking in would be a good idea. We had 2 extra beds in sitting room for our kids which worked well (lots of space). They had to come through our room to use the bathroom, which was fine for a couple of nights.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Cleanliness, location, comfort, good selection of buffet breakfast, customer service, free water taxi to Murano for glass factory and sale gallery.
Cons: No free bottled water for hotel guests

Hotel Indigo Venice - Sant'elena - Venice - Building
4
9.3 Excellent (257 reviews)
Overview Reviews
The tranquil neighbourhood. Venice is a fairy-tale of a city with palaces, cathedrals and museums to take your breath away. In our neighbourhood you can get your breath back again. It’s a place where you can escape the noise and bustle, experience genuine local life, and feel refreshed. This is a neighbourhood of true tranquillity. At the heart of the neighbourhood is Hotel Indigo® Venice - Sant'Elena, a converted 1930s monastery where a peaceful inner sanctuary offers further respite from the bustle. Our neighbours include the elegant red-brick Gothic church of Sant’Elena, built by Augustinian monks in the 11th century and known for its lofty landmark belltower.
7.1 Good
Pros: Nice breakfast, nice design & overall feel of quality.
Cons: There was a hotel-approved loud birthday party right in front of our room windows (it was on the first floor). Our complaints did nothing to make it stop. "But this is a birtheday party!", was the shocking comment from staff. Overall, the walls of the hotel seemed paper-thin.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: - Beautiful modern design - Great stuff - Great food - Great bar, cocktails and bartenders - Perfect if you come for Biennale - But otherwise very far from everything else as there is nothing in the neighborhood
Cons: - if you didn’t come for Biennale, its quite far from everything else as there is nothing else in the area
7.0 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Price
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: No gym and pool
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything! Beautiful building. Outstanding staff. Bed so comfy I didn't want to leave it. Breakfast in room a delight!
9.7 Excellent
Pros: This hotel was nice, clean, comfortable even with four people in the room. The courtyard was attractive, and we enjoyed evening drinks and morning breakfast there. Breakfast was a delight with a wide range of options!
Cons: Location from venice's sites originally felt far, but a water taxi day pass reduced the amount of walking we needed to do. A plus was that the hotel put us close to Lido and its beaches, so we got some time in the sun as well!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Quiet area in Venice. The hotel location is actually quite good, if you take the public boat/waterbus. Very friendly staff with lots of good tips about local restaurants and best viewpoints. I’ve been to Venice a few times and this is the best experience.
Cons: Nothing.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The room was clean as expected. Nothing exceptional about this hotel to mention. location was a little remote from the main square, which was ok. It was a pleasant walk thru the quaint and quiet residential area.
Cons: The room was not as depicted in the online photos. The verbal representation of the room was exaggerated. The staff continuously barraged us to purchase the Breakfast inclusion. Which I understood to already have been included when we bought online.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location, the interior design, the high standards of cleanliness, the fabulously friendly and efficient staff.
Cons: The espresso was hit and miss (tasted like a short americano on occasions)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice amenities, breakfast, and location for transportation needs.
Cons: Restaurant options are limited.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location - quiet, lovely, green neighborhood a 2 minute walk to the vaporetto stop. Beautiful courtyard with lovely lounge furniture. Well staffed. Rooms well designed and attractive. All the modern conveniences. Nice cafe around the corner.
Cons: Breakfast at 9 euro could have been better, very ordinary, nothing special.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location
4.0 Okay
Pros: The staff was nice enough to say that they will take care of the complains and apologized. The breakfast had variety of food.
Cons: The staff was nice enough to say that they will take care of the complains and apologized but it wasn't taken care of after all.
7.7 Good
Pros: Hotel was located out of the city centre of Venice which is away from the noise, and the room is nice roomy. We arrive very late on the day and the staff assist us on how to get to the hotel.
Cons: The hotel is about 20 mins walk from St. Marco Square and 1 hr by ferry to Piazza Roma, therefore have to plan the time for travelling.
6.0 Good
Cons: Location. It is a bit far from the city centre and major attractions but still within walking distance.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Cleanliness, food, staff, bed, information source, location
8.0 Excellent
Pros: hotel was great in quiet location and close to boat stop so not far to carry any luggage. I did notice alot of people walking round venice with bags looking lost so great for finding the hotel
6.4 Good
Pros: very peaceful,clean too
Cons: very quiet in the bar in evenings, could not enjoy night in hotel, would have to venture out.could have been more of a choice i food for breakfast
6.0 Good
Pros: It had large modern rooms in a quieter area of Venice with some lovely green space but still close enough to the tourist attractions of Venice.
Cons:
7.6 Good
Pros: The hotel was of a high modern standard. The rooms were well equipped although not large , were fine - although the views from the windows were not worth opening the shutters. The breakfast was excellent. The hotel is in a quite location around 15-20 minutes pleasant walk from St Marks Sq. A water bus stops just 2 mins walk from the hotel. (and goes to the Lido and all the Islands, as well as back to the Grand Canal in the other direction).
Cons: The hotel did not have much "Venice" character. The pigeons in the courtyard were a real nuisance. They even landed on the tables and (although the staff cleaned up very quickly ) droppings were regular on the outside furniture.
4.4 Okay
Pros: Location was good, rooms and bathrooms were good
Cons: The reception staff were grumpy
6.0 Good
Pros: The location of the hotel is fabulous, away from the craziness of the crowds and the nearby park is terrific, especially for kids.
Cons:
Hotel Londra Palace - Venice - Building
5
9.2 Excellent (994 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With its 100 windows overlooking the San Marco basin, the Londra Palace has been the the perfect retreat those who enjoy authentic locations which don’t just conform with current fashions. The view is always enchanting: choose between the San Marco Basin and the Venetian Lagoon the one hand, or the historic city’s roofs and bell towers on the other. Our Concierge Clefs d’Or and the reception staff, available 24 hours a day, will be leased to point them out to you. The Do Leoni Restaurant focuses on the unique and magical moment of the evening, without haste, with an elegant service where creative dishes and important wine selections stand out, carefully matched to the dishes. Our Bistrot 4172 menu, instead, has been conceived with a fast and light formula, also suitable for a lunch break, without sacrificing quality and the refinement of Do Leoni Restaurant style.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location and staff
Cons: Nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location, great staff. Views out of our lagoon facing room were amazing.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is excellent, close to everything. The room was comfortable but rather small.
Cons: The restaurant is nicely appointed but the food was disappointing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location of the Hotel was outstanding! So close to everything and on a beautiful waterfront. St Mark's square literally "round the corner"! If you arrive by private water taxi the dock is just outside the Hotel entrance. We didn't upgrade to water views so I would suggest an elevated position to make the most of the city view. Hotel Manager and most of the staff were fabulous and full of advice and local knowledge. Beds were lovely and comfortable and most rooms a little different from each other. Theres a roof terrace with 360 view. The breakfast was in a very pleasant room with views over the water. Both an indoor and outdoor seating area. Beautiful Murano glass chandeliers and mirrors inside. Outside a great Cherry piece of art. Lovely place just to people watch. Breakfast coffee excellent as well as the quality of fresh juice and meat selection, bread etc.
Cons: The breakfast selection is not as large as one might expect. Though if you like wine at breakfast this is available! Normally when we stay at hotels they will provide omelette or poached eggs etc as part of the breakfast though here this was a further charge which we found a bit strange.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a fantastic hotel that you can’t miss in Venice. The location is more than great given it’s not only very close to the San Marco Plaza, but also just in front of a waterbus stop. You don’t need to drag your luggage for a long way, it’s just next to the waterbus exit. We booked a room with balcony, the view was excellent! And the room was clean, bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was served in the room, and delivered by our scheduled time. We requested for a late check out due to the weather, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. All in all, our stay in the Londra Palace was 100% perfect, and I will definitely cherish the memories here. Whenever I get another chance to visit Venice, I will choose this hotel again.
Cons: Wish the breakfast can be served more as it was for two persons.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast A+. Location - GREAT!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, room standard, staff.
Cons: Technical matters. The safe didn't work, the Wifi worked very badly. There was an impression that the technical details of the hotel were not taken care of. We had to do interventions to make things easier but I think that in such a hotel there should be a room prepared before arrival. Very nice breakfast but people mostly are on holiday there so should be open till 11.00 not 10.30.
4.2 Okay
Cons: The staff was very rude. Not the standard for a 5 star hotel.

Cons: Only serve light snacks until 7pm
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The room was bigger than I expected, the surrounding Garden and quietness are definitely a nice contrast from hassle and bustle Venice
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The location and the Villa was fantastic. Also the atmosphere in the restaurant. Dinner was good but breakfast has more potential and a bit more to ask for.
Cons: Breakfast. Actually, the only thing needed is more freequent refills of all options available. They ran out on several things every morning and we had to ask for more even though they where open for another hour.
6.0 Good
Pros: The room was very clean, bed was a good size, nice a quiet. Good transport links to get into Venice.
Cons: I booked this hotel as it had spa treatments listed as a facility. We had planned to have a spa day during our stay but when we arrived and tried to book some treatments we were told that this service was not going to be available this week. It would have been nice if they had let us know in advance so that I could have made other arrangements.

Pros: 10 mins from airport with spa facilities.

Pros: Great villa with a picturesque area for chilling. Cozy swimming pool, comfortable and vast rooms. Motley breakfasts. Easy to communicate with the staff.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Ladies in Red provided excellent services specially (Shamma) Very good shuttle service Spacious clean room with very nice view Great atmosphere
Cons: Spa & room service were expensive Difficult to communicate with room service because of the poor english language
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: church, sea view, landscape
Cons: 1. False advertisement for time between successive boat trips from St. Mark square to the hotel 2. False advertisement for Sqm space of the hotel apartment 3. Fraudulent? Breakfast charges in the room service 4. Lack of adequate maintenance and service (English language poor skills) Analytically: 1. The time between successive boat pickups was certified by the hotel staff in the recorded phone call in the nights before the trip to be 20min . (recorded phone call available) So travelers would have to wait 20 min maximum if they lost one boat. In fact the time is 40 min instead of the 20min advertised. The official hotel approved pickup times of 40min can be seen both at the hotel and the pickup point. Photo proof available. 2. We bought a room with 35sqm, the one we received was ~20 sqm. 3. After having breakfast in the room twice, we found during the checkout that extra charges have been added for things we never ordered. We understand this could have been a mistake.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Exceptional location
Cons: Exceptional location

Pros: Great stay! Staff was very helpful and friendly. This is true Venetian experience.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location just 6 minutes walk from the nearest boat stop and no bridges (it means a lot for Venice). About 10 or so minutes walk to the most attractions yet located off main tourist track and very quiet at night. Room was well maintained with funky decor and a romantic view to a canal intersection. Soundproofing was good, no external noise bothered us. Friendly team at reception tried to help us with a few restaurants bookings and our luggage since there is no elevator.

Pros: Great location 2 steps from train station and from Avis. we dined at the hotel restaurant, good food but too expensive. Bar was fine, people exceedingly nice. Got assistance from reception for booking someone to accompany us with our luggage to train. Reception extremely kind and professional. Room was good, in the renewed section of hotel, facing two old palazzi. Excellent shower.
Cons: supply of extras (liquid soap, slippers etc.) only on demand, but swift service.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This place was nicer than I was expecting. They gave us a lovely big room. Modern style decor. Staff were brilliant. While Mestre itself doesn't have a whole lot to offer tourists, there are some reasonable restaurants in the vicinity of the hotel. And the bus into Venice leaves from right across the street.

Pros: The hotel is very new and clean. We were also given a free upgrade from Superior Room to a Suite with Canal View! The suite was very spacious and nice; the bed is comfortable. The staff from front desk/reception were very helpful and speaks very fluent English. The hotel is also within walking distance from the train station.
Cons: As the hotel is located along the river mouth of the main canal, it will be prone to flooding. However, the hotel has ready stock of “poncho” for your shoes if you need them at €5/pair (cheaper than street price).

Pros: First of all allies it was a wonderful and let us check in four hours early. That was extremely nice and unexpected.
Cons: The hotel, the location, everything about it was amazing. Our room did have a little bit of a moldy smell to it but I think that's because they turn the air off when you leave and of course they are on the water. Again, I highly recommend this hotel it

Pros: This hotel was very clean and just stunning inside. Great breakfast too
Cons: The location was a bit out of the way, but only 10 min walk from the main bus/water taxi main station

Pros: Swing pool and bed room
Cons: Bafh room
8.3 Excellent
Pros: A little of everything
Cons: More than you think
5.0 Okay
Pros: Beautiful island, with amazing amenities but you have to have the money to stay in the top end level rooms, if not very average and expect there are better hotels on Venice
Cons: Not great value for money, rooms were sparse, poorly decorated and felt dated compared to other areas of the Hotel. Also small things that you expect from a 5* weren't there, service was passable, knowledge was limited of Venice for recommendations, etc, didnt feel as welcoming as have done at other hotels. The loungers on the top floor restaurant were soaked the day we went up (must have rained overnight as didnt see a drop of rain while we were there) so you were awkwardly perching on the seat to have a drink. Was disappointed to have to pay to get access to the spa, first time as a guest of a 5* hotel i have seen an additional charge to use the facilities. Transport to Venice is available but once an hour is the minimum i would expect. Also a shame the michelin* restaurant was closed while we were there, didnt realised it was closed for 4-6 months of the year which was planning to take my wife for bday dinner, Apart from that food is average compared to some of the other hotels we visited on Venice.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast Very good quality roof top
3.0 Mediocre
Cons: We were in shower so you could image how we were looked like . And then the service lady walked straight in ! How terrifying ! Also when we checked out and told what happened to the front desk lady when she asked me how the stay was, she charged the card and did not say anything ! Haha what a service ! !
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights. It’s truly amazing. We had a junior suit it was lovey. The staff are very friendly and the food is very good. The rooftop pool has the most amazing views of Venice. We enjoyed a morning at the spa The facilities are great. Over all our experience was fantastic. I would highly recommend getting a private taxi boat from the airport to the hotel It made our experience of the hotel even better.
Cons: N/A

Pros: Bright new and well equipped. Staff were brilliant, welcoming, friendly, helpful when i was panicking a bit (it's a long story, not my usual mode). Near the sirport which was what I wanted.
Cons: Location good for the airport but that's all. You'd be unwise to try and 'do' Venezia from here unless you had a very good reason. Lots of buses but they go different routes around here - all close to Colors but on different roads, be sure to check the stops.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was simply perfect for my stay. The ratio quality/price was very good and my bed was very comfortable. The staff is nice and I found them incredibly available, both for the hotel, for the breakfast (I was late for it, but they were flexible with my mistake... thanks again!) and for local tips about the city and transportation. It is at 10-15 minutes from Venice center by bus and at 5 minutes from the airport. It is a quiet area but at a short distance from the lovely Venice. I highly recommend it and I will go again if I will come back to Venice!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Packed me an excellent to-go breakfast as my flight left very early!! Very close to the bus stop of the line that goes from Venice to the airport. Super value and great location for a day in Venice and a flight out the next morning!
Cons: Little bit of road noise, but with the air conditioner on the windows could be closed and the noise blocked out. Easy fix.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Okay breakfast, not a buffet, but made for each person. Consisted of bread, cheese, fried eggs, and some ham. A sweet croissant was also offered. Water was offered to drink, not sure about if juice is available. Coffee was also offered.
