nice big room looking over to the sea, breakfast was very nice and served at the pool if desired the staff wasn't very nice though they provided all we asked for, the staff, and the entrance to the hotel through the parking is a bit wierd
Situated centrally between Bordigera and San Remo with free parking facility. View from hotel is magnificent with beautiful gardens, sea and heated swimming pool. Its was worth the half price we paid.
Staff were particularly helpful. Many amenities for the price. Fine breakfast included. Lovely sea-view from balcony. Enjoyed spa facilities. Good entertainment in Grand Salon on Sat. night - talented piano player who sang. Pleasant barman who knows how to make a cocktail. Perhaps not for the person who is in Bordighera to stroll through the market, as the hotel is not walking-distance from Le Marché. We managed to park but hotel was far from full - when it is, parking must be rough.
Excellent location, wonderful view and friendly staff, however most of them don't speak English. The hotel looks much better from inside then from outside, but the view and peaceful atmosphere compensates all. They should do something with the closets; they remind me the good, old 70s in the Soviet Union.
the hotel was very nice in general , a modernist era building filled with antique collections of the owner , in a beautiful setting. the entrance of the hotel is unusual and interesting at the same time.the staff were friendly and nice although not all were english speaking.the service was excellent.the view from rooms were amazing specially at sunrise. no internet in the rooms,no english channels on tv, shower too small but otherwise nice, all they have to do is to remove the bulky shower enclosure and replace with a more modern glass partition.everything else was nice.
Very nice and quiet located hotel. Classical luxury. Good breakfast buffet, nice rooms, spacious balconies with maximum of privacy, because of separation walls. Comfortable and spacious lounge. All rooms with front sea and garden view. Matrasses were quit stiff, but still acceptable. Walking distance to Bordighera was approx. 30 min. (although on a save pavement and there's also a bus service every 15').
Fair value for money. It was what we expected and paid for. No more and no less. Mid-September and air conditioning controls not available, probably deliberate and probably would have been provided if requested.
Very clean. Helpful staff. 50m from beach. No bar.
I liked the personal treatment of the staff, I liked the quick response on my requests, I liked the breakfast, the quietness of the room, I liked the price/quality equation and I liked the appreciation for my attempts to speak Italian There was nothing to complain about
Spacious rom, close to the sea front
Beautiful seaside location - the view from our window was spectacular. There were insufficient electrical outlets for our electronics. We are a two-computer family with a cell phone, camera and toothbrush which needed recharching and there was one available outlet in the bathroom.
Awesome sea view, spacious, quiete, walk into town,Sky Tv, good internet. Remote for Tv did not work
Good hotel with nice view to the sea. Clean, comfortable for 4 persons family. Was not allowed to use kitchen.
nice staff, cleanliness, everything was very good! no
Nice hotel, room was like an apartment (with kitchen, bed room, living room) breakfast was not the best
Very friendly staff among the best I've met also very clean room A bit far from the town centre
the charme and the food
I loved everything about the hotel, relaxing, beautiful views, quite, excellent customer service. No. other than the roads leading up the hotel. Very nerve racking...
The view was spectacular! The food was good (but over priced) and the staff very nice. We arrived late, so the man found us some (stale) bread to have. Our navigator has taken us on some goat trails before, but never one like this. We found easier ways to get there after that. The restaurant is only open until 21:30.
wonderful staff, beautiful views! great rooms terrifying ride up the mountain
We loved the beautiful yet convenient location, friendly/helpful staff and relaxed atmosphere of the hotel. The pool is lovely and clean. Food at breakfast and dinner was exceptional. Views are amazing! This was our second visit, and we look forward to returning.
the cooking was excellent the wine list was quite poor and not in keeping with the rest of the services
the personal, the service, the marbelous vieuw, close to monaco and cannes no just one remark, differentiate the breakfast a little bit.
Having reached the hotel after a bendy drive I fell in love with it. The food was exquisite and the wine selection was great.the views wer lovely and the whole homely feel worked for me.Would not enjoy so much if busy however will be going back if off peak season. Location could be an issue for those not driving.
The hospitality, the atmosphere, the calm, it was like to be in paradise
My surprise at how clean and recently renovated the room was. Lots of construction concerning the new port but will be great location when it is finished.
Location is great. Staff is very friendly.
Decent sized room with a balcony. Decent breakfast.
The hotel was very clean the staff were excellent and extremely helpfull location was good and even though there was major work in building a marina over the road the hotel was quiet
The location , all the rooms with sea -view , quiet place , part of Ventimiglia not so crowdy The lateral view of our room , the breakfast allways the same.
Our family enjoyed the helpful staff, view of the Mediterranean, good restaurants nearby, and access to highway. The shower cabin was small and the water temperature was not always consistent. The images on the hotels website make it seem as if the beach is sandy when there was no sandy beach. There was a construction project in process just across the street which was not visually appealing.
I accidently discovered that my room key fitted the next door room (not very secure) Poor parking facilities
Staff No advantage booking with you, rack rate same as your rate
The staff was very kind and helpful, the room had fantastic view and was really clean.
It's closeness to the beaches and to the center of town.
Tidy rooms, speaking English stuff was nice and helpful. Closeness to the beaches. We were having nice time sitting on the balcony enjoying lunch and magnificent view on the nearest beaches. And it’s just a ten minutes walk to the center of town.
Nice view from the room!
I liked this hotel, staff was nice and friendly. Every morning we had nutritious breakfast. There was one disadvantage is the absence of internet in the room.
Close to the sea, big room, friendly staff, every day room cleaning, free public parking near the hotel Difficult to find free parking place, but possible
Wonderful location- right on the beach and a very lively promenade with a weekly market virtually on your doorstep, yet peaceful and tranquil. Great breakfasts on the promenade, and culinary delights for dinner. Enjoyed the beautiful sunrise over the sea with mountains in the background. The old town of Bordighera is situated on the hillside just behind, with great vistas, surrounded by beautiful homes and so much history. Recommend it any time!
The staff was extremely helpful and made our stay very enjoyable. the view form our balcony was fabulous at any time of day or night. We loved our stay and would come back again.
The view and proximity of the beach No
Good location, room, staff ect.
A very good breakfast outside almost on the beach.
Plage a proximite, calme.
It was on the beachfront, the room was spacious, free internet cafe available at all times The pillows were uncomfortable, the small shower cubicle, the walls not insulated so it could get a bit noisy
The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful, particularly in advising us about our train ride to Marseilles. The swimming pool is rather small but as much as three metres deep at one end. While it is ideal for diving, perhaps the hotel management should consider having a life guard on duty just in case anything happens.
Staff were very helpful. Rooms were clean and the hotel was dog friendly. Nothing negative to say about the hotel but the area was NOT dog friendly. Strange how the hotel is but not the surrounding area including the beach! No dogs allowed on the beach.
good location, garden, parking and pool Durty carpet in the room Unfriendly waitingstaff in the restaurant
No one thing. Staff very friendly & helpful. Location was handy to shops and restuarants. Room was perhaps not quite as expected. Stairs to bedrooms and bathroom not suitable for older people.
the breakfast is good the room is very small and dark
We liked very much the appartment for our family . Big enough for the five of us , Also the pool was refreshing and nice. Very close to the beach and the main shopping area.
loved the pool very pretty area, was fairly quiet the time we went, which was very relaxing. Liked where the hotel was, also in a nice area, full of flowers etc.
Wonderful place, short walk to town and train, beautiful gardens and pool.
everything especially the staff's helpfulness, quality of breakfast, carparking, location, beautiful gardens it was all perfect
Lovely old villa The bar was non-existant
Friendly staff, secure motorcycle parking, effective air conditioning in the room. Stayed for one night en route to the french alps, very pleased with the hotel. No
friendly, efficient check-in,helpful and prompt reaction to our needs:our taxi did not show up.had management not provided their own car would have missed our train.thks a million
Very good location just at the beach but there is a marina construction site very close. Noise in the morning. The room was pretty small and there was mould in the shower cabin ;-(
A fantastic stay helped by courteous staff, the hotel was spotless as was the lovely room
Very clean service in the hotel. Pretty city of Ventimiglia Breakfast was boring, the same items everyday. Was unaware of the port project building work going on opposite the hotel. This greatly reduced parking availability.
Nice environment and atmosphere. Felt like a family run affair. We had privacy and a nice clean room with balcony. Location was great for walks along the promenade and easy access for walking into town. Did not see a TV programme in English but wasnt really there to watch TV anyway 8-)
Breakfast area outside
The Hotel Sea Gull is in a good location in Ventimiglia. They serve a very good continental breakfast in the hotel. I was put in a small room on the ground floor of the annexe which is next door but one to the hotel and every time the front door was opened a guest's dog started barking.
We especially liked its beautiful location at the sea.
It was clean, friendly and family orientated. The Breakfast Buffet was excellent staff were lovely. It was disappointing that the Marina was being constructed in front of the hotel, but when complete would only enhance the resort. See above.
location, panoramic view, access to the beach, sea water pool
we only stayed for one night, but the location was amazing, and the staff very friendly.
The hotel owners and staff were nice and attentive. The location is very good in case you want to go to beaches in Liguria and in the French Côte d'Azur. Rooms were spacious for a small familiy and very clean. Neither the hotel's small beach or the swimming pool were appropriate for children under 5 years old.
The athmosphere of this family run hotel was excellent. We really felt welcome. For the beach holiday the location is perfect including easy access (by car) the neighbouring cities. Very good fresh Tuna in the hotel restaurant!!!! Wireless internet was not too reliable but worked fair. Sound isolation wery weak between the rooms.
Position of hotel. Helpfulness of staff
The staff No sand
Friendly helpful staff and owners perfect location , brillient pool, town very near, lovely squares to eat in,and has very large indoor pool for out of season -- great place - the rooms are functional and clean.
I like the location.
seaview, food at restaurant, friendly family running the place the description of the bathroom in the booking form was correct: the showers in the smaller rooms are tiny.
Beautiful room immediately overlooking the Med. Very quiet We would say forget the dining room. We ate dinner there one night and found our meal forgetful at best. Breakfast was very basic, muffins, and cold cereal. No fresh fruit, nothing hot.
Good location, very close to the beach. Some times it was difficult to find the parking place for the car..
Not much. Shower was dodgy. Noisy outside, shutters let a lot of light in....Lift was very small and awkward.
The hotel was a good pit stop for an overnight stay with helpful staff, although the hotel is in serious need of refurbishment. The hotel infrastructure was poorly maintained, and I guess is one of the reasons that the hotel was cheaper than others in the area. You wouldn't want to stay here on holiday, but it was ok for a night.
The hotel is conveniently located close to train station and was good value as an overnight stopping spot for travelling between France and Italy. It was very clean. The breakfast was quite good and the staff very friendly and helpful.
Extremely convenient for the station No lift (elevator)
The central location near public travel facilites.
It was close to everything and a short walk from the train station. This was important as we were pulling large suitcases. Did not like the process of leaving keys on the board opposite the reception. The keys are accessible to anyone who might enter the hotel.
Ideal location and close to local amnesties. Breakfast included in the price. Friendly hotel staff. Lack of car parking. Slightly small rooms. Shared showers. Uncomfortable beds.
It was very quiet and staff was very nice. I enjoyed my stay and hope to be back in the future.
nice wiew over beach, quiet, clean and fairplay of service and honest
It was a well appointed hotel with a lovely room. A very generous breakfast. An easy walk from the train station. The only hotel that we stayed in that had shared bathroom facilities but it wasn't really a problem.
No elevator so if you have a lot of heavy luggage, beware.
CLose enough to drive to Monte Carlo Cleanliness of shared bathrooms. Poor parking
