Excellent 9.6
Pros: Small and quiet property with friendly dogs. Breakfast was good and location was short walk to the beach.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Lovely, clean, spacious, airy rooms. Well designed with convenient lights and outlets. Appreciate simple things like a well designed bathroom with good towels and bath mat. The breakfast is a treat with a nice selection of fruit, bread, cheese, jam and real coffee. A short walk to the beach and close access to main road and a good restaurant and shop.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The owners are super friendly and helpful!! We had hot water & ekectricity, which was a first after 8 nights in other hotels!
Cons: The location pin on booking.com is not correct. The location is just off the main road.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Great place in beautiful Cap Skirring. Friendly staff and owner, quiet setting, good WiFi, pleasant room and matress and a nice shower!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Beautiful oasis away from the main throng but within walking distance of a stunning beach and cheap taxi ride to the nearest town. Breakfast was amazing with the best cup of coffee so far. The resident pooches made us very welcome.
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 9.6
Pros: The breakfast is excellent and the location is quiet, cosy and super clean with a wonderful garden. Super friendly hosts.
Cons: Only the mattress was not particularly comfortable and as we had the room most further away from the main house wifi was available only on the terrasse in front of the room and not in the room itself, but we had nonetheless a pleasant stay and would book again!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: We liked everything here! Room is cozy and clean, bed is comfortable, location is great (close to the beach and a few really good restaurants), staff is helpful with everything and they make you feel like home. They also have two amazing dogs: Snoopy and Pepper (our nickname for him: Pepsi). There is a little shop really close where you can get water and beers. We wish we could have stayed here longer than three nights.

Cons: The mosquito net didn't cover the bed properly.
Good 7.5

Excellent 9.6
Pros: Ana Cécile gave us a wonderful welcome and was kind and helpful throughout. The garden is beautiful and there is a gorgeous view onto the mangrove swamp. The rooms are comfortable and include fans and warm water shower. The beach is a 10 minute walk away, as are other restaurants and bars.
Cons: Satisfied with everything
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Friendly staff. Comfortable room. Good position for bird watching
Cons: Everything was fine
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very warm and friendly welcome. The staff and le Patron most helpful. A good choice of food, beautifully cooked. Everywhere very clean. Excellent value, and will come again!
Cons: Little to improve - no problems.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Amazing setting, facing a beautiful mangrove landscape. We stayed in a two bedroom bungalow with a small kitchen, which was extra convenient if travelling with kids. The owners were very sweet and helpful.
Okay 4.0
Pros: The location was ok near the beach and 15 mins walk from the main town.
Cons: Following our arrival we soon got over the lack of bathroom door in our room (just a curtain made of thin strands of fabric), the difficulty in communicating (minimal English is spoken and our French is also minimal ) and the lack of good WiFi ( which was only available at the restaurant/terrace and was intermittently working). However, the private party in the restaurant on the second night that we were not told about (until we saw a sign on the entrance gate) and the loud music that was played until after 2am despite asking for the music to be turned down at 00:30 as we couldn’t sleep, was the last straw. The owner was rude and dismissive the next day when we raised it, no apology no understanding, despite knowing we had a early start and long trip to Gambia that day. We would never stay here again and would never recommend it. Worst accommodation we stayed in during our trip.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Beautiful surroundings Kind and helpful staff Substantial breakfast included
Excellent 9.0
Pros: A very quite place in the green garden by the lagoon, walking distance from beach and the Center of the town. Pleasant breakfast and very good value for money. Helpful owner...
Cons: Better signs from the main road would help to find the lodge.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: The hot shower with great water pressure was a very nice surprise.

Poor 1.0
Pros: Location, like all others in Cap Skirring, was nice and in front of the beach.
Cons: STRONGLY RECOMMEND AGAINST - deplorable customer service from boss and all staff. Terrible experience summarized as follows: - day 1 we consumed drinks and food at the bar in the beach and paid for them at the end of the day. During the next two days we were told we could pay when we would check out of the hotel. When we did the check out they wanted to charge us for what we had consumed (and already paid) the first day, insisting we hadn't paid. Staff was extremely rude. We called the boss thinking it would help. It didn't. When my partner came to intervene in the discussion he spoke to her in a condescending tone telling her to leave, claiming this was a "discussion among men". When we went to do the check out, not only was the bill still reflecting the charges of the first day, but the charges for the breakfast (very basic and expensive for what it is) were: 3000 x 2 = 12.000 (to be fair: this was corrected). - there was no hot shower. The rooms were never cleaned during the 4 days of our stay, and we lacked basic things such as toilette paper and soap. - we had dinner at the bar in the beach during our second day. We ordered our food at 20rs. At 22hrs we asked the status of our order. They had forgotten it. There were only 2 other people sitting there. - the treatment we received was deplorable from day 1. Both the boss and the staff don't care to treat you properly as they believe they will still have customers regardless. - on a plus note: before the discussion concerning the prices, the owner allowed us to do the check out at 14hrs, 2 hours after the stipulated time, for free. However, this was among the first things he mentioned when we had called him expecting him to solve the "missunderstanding" with his staff. - The location is indeed nice, in front of the beach, despite being slightly away from the centre of Cap Skirring. But then again...so are all the other hotels in the region.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Great, relaxed place right by the beautiful Cap Skirring beach. Small rooms in huts, fairly basic but comfortable. Lovely outside terrace for breakfast & drinks & a bar by the beach for dinner.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Location on the beach .. beautiful sunset.
Cons: As a campement it is very good (compared to others I have stayed in) but if people are used to the facilities in hotels they might be disappointed.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Amazing location right on beautiful beach, still walkable to town centre. Very good value.
Cons: Manager not very friendly
Good 6.0
Cons: Staff is not well trained, even the 'welcome' by the manager put us off. Getting lunch was a matter of luck. No bins in the room. No curtain in front of the window to the bathroom - we showered in the dark to have privacy. The Christmas dinner they offered was ok, but in tiniest portions and the wine they brought have a headache by just smelling it, we couldn't drink it.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The decoration of the room was quite unique, the bungalows looked really neat and cute. Besides, the view from the restaurant was extraordinary and the beach was only 10 seconds from there and also quite clean.
Cons: No warm water and the lack of a door between the bedroom and the bathroom (instead of a curtain).
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Perfect location! The view from the breakfast terrasse is amazing. The restaurant on the beach is just lovely and perfect (feet in the sand, sound of the waves, simple and tasty food) And the little bungalows are just what you need! If you're looking for accommodation as close as possible to an amazing beach with nice staff and clean room, Mussuwam is your place!
Cons: Nothing

Okay 5.0
Pros: The place is a bit off the main road but close enough to the village and in walking distance to the beach. The room was OK, with a queen size bed and comfortable pillows. The common areas were stylishly arranged with flowers and some African style sculptures.
Cons: The staff at reception were unprofessional. Not just unhelpful but even rude. Checking-in was a problem, paying with a debit card was a problem, paying in euros who knows if possible... Luckily some other travellers I happened to meet some days before left me some money so I could pay, leave my suitcase and then walk to the ATM to give them their money back. I reckon my rusty French didn't help either but it was their negative attitude that made the situation really uncomfortable. There was a TV set but not a channel in English and the only channel that work steadly was kind of a non stop advertising C+ so no chance of watching the news or a movie. No WI-FI in the rooms. You had to go to the reception or swimming-pool areas and with a poor network anyway. Everything seemed a bit rundown.
Okay 4.6
Pros: The staff is friendly and try their best. The room was very clean. The music events at the property are very good and it is really a plus.
Cons: The property is big but shabby. The restaurant is nice outside but very poor inside. The quality of the food is OK. The rooms are basic (which is fine) but too many things to fix especially on the windows. The good thing is that the problems have been fixed when asked. Overall it is too expensive for what you get.
Good 7.1
Pros: Nice pool, friendly staff, clean rooms and peacocks onsite. We stayed for one night only as a landing spot in Cap Skirring and then walked around until we located something we preferred more.
Cons: Location was not ideal because it is neither at the beach or in town. It is an entertainment centre but it was still louder than expected as bands practicing frequently.
