The staff was above and beyond a pleasure to deal with, offering suggestions and recommendations for our stay. Upon check-in, our room wasn't ready yet, but they allowed us to park and walk up to the mall to shop until they called us to come back and get in our room. Any questions we had were answered and we couldn't beat the location for what we were there for.
Obviously, the hotel is a staple in the area and is in need or some renovations and repairs. There are a bunch of cosmetic things in the room that don't make sense. The wicker chairs and furniture don't seem stable to sit on. The exterior junction tubing to run the plugs in both the bathroom (to the light) and in the bedroom (to the ceiling fan) are just unattractive and in the bathroom, doesn't seem to be up to code (just a thought - water/condensation and electricity don't mix). The beds were super soft - mattresses have probably seen better days. There's just shoddy cosmetics with the painting, the trim work -- I mean, I know that they don't really matter in the grand scheme of things, but when you are paying $200+ a night, you want to look at a room that doesn't look like a blind man worked on it.
The location of the property to my event was excellent.
The complimentary breakfast left much to be desired. I arrived in the lounge area at approximately 9am to find almost nothing available-7 slices of bread, a few instant oatmeal packets, 3 boxes of cereal and no muffins (as advertised in the elevator). It was just depressing, so we decided to go out for breakfast.
Great View. Comfortable beds. Good sized TV. Location. Clean.
Bathroom small. Noisy air/ heat system. Could not control fan speed. Staff could have been a little more informative on goings on and complimentary breakfast / amenities.
Room was very nice. Good location.
Had to eat out most of the time. Small pool.
Great location. Next to beach, restaurants and Washington Street promenade.
Not enough hooks for towels/swim suits etc.
