Pros: There was a bag of popcorn in the microwave and real glasses and coffee cups provided. The room was large and comfortably furnished and the view of the harbor and Morro Rock from my balcony was exquisite, especially at sunset. The room even had a fireplace! The staff was friendly and helpful and the breakfast was nice. I would definitely stay here again.
Cons: My stay was too short! I would have enjoyed at least one more night!
When you stay at 456 Embarcadero Inn & Suites, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Morro Rock and Morro Bay State Park. Guests can enjoy the spa tub, and hiking/biking trails, kayaking, and mountain biking are nearby. Rooms offer up nice touches like bathrobes and comfy beds with premium linens.
Pros: I had a fun time there, it's close to the water and the owners were friendly. There was breakfast in the morning and checkout time was reasonable at 11am.
Cons: No complaints here.
Pros: Stayed here with my wife and we had a great time. Location was great, it was 2 blocks from the all the shopping, restaurants, and bars. The staff was super friendly and the breakfast that was included was also good. They had bikes that we were able to use and road them throughout town. We had a great experience and will definitely be staying again
Pros: We had a great experience. The staff is excellent and so helpful. Our fireplace was broken, which they didn't know about until we got there. Jim (owner) tried to fix it but couldn't. He tried to get some out to fix it immediately, but couldn't. He felt terrible and gave us a generous gift certificate to a nice restaurant to compensate for it and made sure we had space heaters. He even personally called and got us a reservation and made sure the restaurant was aware and welcoming of our 2 year old daughter at a very nice restaurant where they don't even have a kids menu. Everyone was so kind to us. When we checked out, he apologized many times about the fireplace and it really wasn't a big deal to us. I would highly recommend this place. It was cute, comfortable, perfect size for our family, great location, and awesome staff.
When you stay at Beach Bungalow Inn and Suites, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Morro Rock and Morro Bay State Park. Free perks include WiFi, self parking, and cooked-to-order breakfast daily between 8 AM and 10 AM. Free bike rentals and a garden are other highlights, and rooms offer up nice touches like fireplaces and pillowtop beds with down comforters.
Pros: Right off the get go the staff member who greeted us and employees were very friendly. The room was in the corner without a view but it filled the need and was extremely clean. I got the feeling that a lot of thought was put into customer care which is rare these days. I would definitely stay here again.
Cons: If I had to really think about it, and this seems really picky, but the electrical could be updated in this room...This is by far not a deal breaker either as everything worked as it should.
Pros: OMG, these owners are the nicest people! Plus, they don't tell you but the beds still have "magic fingers" on them! Walking distance to everything in town, overall fantastic.
Cons: Walking distance to restaurants.
Pros: The staff was wonderful and extremely helpful, genuinely interested in our comfort. Exceptionally clean as well. I'm not a motel kind of person, usually staying at Holiday Inn Express's etc...and so I was extremely worried about this being a flea bag motel. I was pleasantly surprised when I walked into the room. Although it was small, it felt comfy like a bedroom rather than a hotel room. Lace on the windows and furniture, nice t.v., small walk-in closet, new tile and fixtures in the small bathroom. Nice wooded vaulted ceiling. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. And just a block away from Embarcadero St (where all the shops, resteraunts, water, and boats are). So the window looks out on the parking area, oh well. I do not regret staying there one bit. Oh and did I mention it was cleeeeeeean!!
Pros: While this isn't a "5 star hotel", it is better than what you would expect for the price and general rating. It's small and privately owned by a single family, so they are much more interested in making sure the stay is phenomenal, compared, say, to a large corporate chain. There's no pool or hot tub, but the beach is very close. There's no room service, but it's within walking distance to lots of restaurants and cafés.
And, just like everyone else has said, don't miss the "Magic Fingers"!
I'm definitely staying here again!
Cons: Just like with all hotels, the bed wasn't mine, so it wasn't the most comfortable. However, I've stayed in "nicer" places and I slept better at Sundown Inn.
At Sundown Inn, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Morro Rock and Morro Bay State Park. Guests will have free perks like WiFi and self parking. Rooms feature bonuses like refrigerators and microwaves.
The staff was very friendly. They contacted me to help give details about a late check-in since we were going to arrive after-hours. They were very accommodating. We'd definitely stay here again when in the area. The hotel is only a short walk from the bay and lots of restaurants and shops. Price was also very reasonable given the location and quality of the room.
Pros: Hotel rooms appear to have been renovated and the room was very cute and comfortable. The small kitchen was a big bonus. Loved that there was a back door into the kitchen as well.
Cons: Room was a bit warm and stuffy, as there was no a/c there. However, no a/c is pretty common in the area and the outside temps were unusually warm so I doubt this is normally an issue. A ceiling fan or portable one would have helped, but we did not ask.
Pleasant Inn puts you within a 10-minute drive of Morro Rock and Morro Bay State Park. Free perks include WiFi and self parking. Rooms feature bonuses like refrigerators and microwaves.
Pros: The room was not decorated in typical hotel fare. It had style and old-fashioned charm. Parking was ample, and the Inn is in an excellent location.
Cons: Breakfast was good, but it would have been better if there had been some fruit for cereal, waffles, etc.
Pros: Location and breakfast provided
Pros: The view from our deck was nice. The deck was nice and big. Big enough for two chairs. Cable and TV were good.
Cons: The layout of the room was odd. An entryway room with a small table. A huge walk in closet which seemed unnecessary. The bathroom had a barn style door. Our reservation promised a fireplace but their wasn't one in our room.
Pros: Great place and friendly staff
Pros: Clean room, nice amenities (like a fireplace and jacuzzi tub). Staff rocked! Everyone was super nice. We had a great view, and if the weather was better, we would have enjoyed the roof top lounge. Breakfast was good, too.
Cons: It was a bit run down, but we were told they are getting ready to remodel. I thought the room was going to be a suite, which it wasn't, but it was very large with sofa.
Pros: clean and good size for the price
Pros: not much
Cons: room was outdated-needs to be upgraded no fresh fruit for breakfast=breakfast was barely OK hotel looks like they are starting to paint- very messy job- need to hire a pro

Pros: I like to feel welcome when I stay somewhere. Daniel always made a point of greeting us each time we entered or left the lobby.
Pros: very clean and roomy, friendly staff
Cons: not given a good view of Morro Bay
Pros: Rooms are updated and clean.
Cons: My original room was next to the breakfast area. I requested to be moved for a quieter section of the floor. The change needs to be done through the 3rd party (Travelocity) who called Comfort Inn. Travelocity to credit my account and for Comfort Inn to charge me for the room and swipe my card again. I hope I was not charged twice. I left with a blank bill which the front desk is normal. In all our stay was pleasant and will consider Comfort Inn in the future.
Pros: Great place. Great location. Reasonable prices. Close to the water. Very clean. Very comfortable. Would definitely come back.

Pros: Clean and quiet rooms. Decent continental breakfast. P,easant and helpful staff. Near Embarcadero.
Pros: We booked this room based on the price, the fact that it had AC, and the reviews of the hotel for cleanliness. The price was much more affordable for us and we were happy with our stay. We were able to easily walk to the strip of businesses on the waterfront with our 3 month old baby and the hotel room was pretty clean, which was awesome since we had a baby with us. The only thing that bothered me was the AC wasn't cooling the room. We tried everything but woke up to a very warm room in the middle of the night that really worried me having a sleeping baby with us. We just opened the windows after that to cool the room down and it seemed to help. More than anything, we seemed to be having a day of rude encounters at businesses on our travels, and getting a warm, welcoming, and friendly woman to greet us at the front desk was such a relief and so nice for us! We'll definitely be looking this hotel up for our next stay. They even left us a discounted price to stay another night if we wanted! Although we weren't able to with our baby having a tough trip, it was a nice offer to get!
Pros: Tempurpedic matress was nice. Room was clean, reasonably priced versus other hotels. Counter staff was very polite and helpful. Short walk to stores, restaurants and embarcadero.
Cons: Located under breakfast deck, could hear chairs being scraped thru ceiling (very noisy). Toilet made noise every time someone flushed, very small corner shower. Continental breakfast choices weren't that great.
Pros: Perfect balance; friendly and over beyond helpful, without being obtrusive, staff. Great location for walking around town and great selection to restaurants like; BBQ Restaurant right behind the hotel and 4 min. walk to Hungry Fisherman, delicious fish and chips. The hotel itself gives a relaxing and comfortable vibe. All the commoditys one could ask for.
Cons: Breakfast is free but they could have add something else to make it more enjoyable.
Pros: The rooms were very nice
Cons: We would suggest bananas on the breakfast menu
Pros: Friendly staff, clean rooms. The location within walking distance to the boardwalk and Main st. Of course the free breakfast pretty much a continental breakfast with waffles which were good.
When you stay at La Serena Inn, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Morro Rock and Morro Bay State Park. Guests will have free perks like breakfast, WiFi, and self parking. Rooms feature bonuses like refrigerators and microwaves.
Pros: Room was spacious, view from 2nd floor was beautiful looking directly at Morro Rock. Good parking, didn't have to drive anywhere for lunch or dinner unless you wanted to. Many restaurants and shops in very easy walking distance, although there are stairs to navigate if you want to walk to the embaradero. Staff was friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast provided eggs, pancakes, oatmeal, etc., plenty of coffee.
Cons: Pillows are very hard - had to sleep without one or get a stiff neck. Room had a stale odor which persisted for hours- staff offered to move us to another room. Dissipated by evening with window opened.
Pros: Walking distance to town, great location and view
Cons: No pool, no jacuzzi. Decor is dated very close to town
Pros: Loved the location and the rooms were huge.
Cons: Very quite and safe feeling.

Pros: Parking was easy and the hotel was close to shops and restaurants.
Cons: I felt it was a bit pricey given the size of the room and how outdated the bathroom was.
Pros: Next to the water and the stores.
Cons: Rooms too small.
Pros: All good!!
Pros: The hotel exceeded my expectations. Lovely outdoor sitting areas. Many excellent restaurants within walking distance.
Pros: Our room had a full size bed, but it was very comfortable for two people. Lovely location, walked to Morro Rock easily. The dog loved it! Hotel Employee can tell you about all the local places to go and there's lots of little perks. Will definit
Pros: Very personable Incredible view
Cons: Heater malfunction daily in spite of daily efforts to repair

Pros: Very good location, clean small room. Very good WiFi, off street parking, nice location. Office has irregular hours. Older but maintained. Small office style fan/heater only source, but adequate if not state of the art. I'd stay again, but not if my wife were with. Not a romantic destination, basic basic inexpensive lodging.
Pros: Nice overall but I'm just a normal working stiff and it was not a luxury or romantic place just an average clean motel would stay again if price was 65-70 on weekend or 35-40 weekday.
Cons: Hotdogs in cowtown, mustard and onions only, but with a smile pleeez . Love ya
Pros: Very friendly service and clean room. Convenient location.
Cons: had trouble with the room key working so had to wake the manager very early in the morning after taking my dog out to take care of business. Very responsive staff. think the charge for a single dog is high - $25/night.

Pros: Clean, close to the beach, friendly staff, good price
Pros: Hotel was situated within walking distance of most of Morrow Bay shops and dining. Ambiance of the room was alright, the room had a fireplace in it, although that may have been a factor to the room being quite cold when checking in.
Cons: Room heater didn't work, although there was a portable plug in heater in the room that worked quite well. Walls and insulation were mediocre, but expected at the price of the stay.
Cons: No elevator, and I was on the 3rd floor.
Pros: The location was great and the bed was very comfortable.
Cons: Room was dirty, carpet was stained and dirty, the above fan was dirty, mildew around tub, smelled like stale old smoke, and no air conditioning. I also didn't care for the maintenance workers pounding their hammers at 8am.
When you stay at Pacific Shores Inn, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Morro Rock and Morro Bay State Park. Guests can visit the fitness center for a workout, and free perks include WiFi, self parking, and continental breakfast daily between 8 AM and 10 AM. Nice touches like pillowtop beds with premium linens are offered up in all rooms, along with flat-screen TVs and refrigerators.
Cons: The open 2-storey lobby outside all the hotel rooms made it very noisey. Open parking right underneath the rooms created lots of noise as cars left in the morning. No air-conditioning so you couldn't have a fan on at night to block out any noise. Location to the waterfront is great, but would not stay here again as the open- concept of this hotel makes for a lot of echoes and noise. Ask for a room away from the elevator.
Cons: No air conditioning. The towels are worn out.
Pros: Location is great and beds are comfortable. Did not like the building which echoes the sounds from each room and it was too noisy in the morning starting from 5am.

Pros: Even though the Seaside Inn at Morro Bay is a small hotel, the staff was excellent and friendly. It looked as though there were some recent renovations that made this small hotel just minutes from the beach a great value! I would stay again at the Seaside Inn at Morro Bay.
Cons: No bottom sheets on bed! We had two rooms for two nights and both rooms were the same, you sleep on the mattress and have only the comforter. It's uncomfortable but worst of all you know they don't wash the mattress and they likely don't wash the comforter every guest.
Pros: Clean room, good location, comfortable stay
Cons: Cold showers, unfriendly staff
Cons: There was a rat in our room!! Owner was rude and nasty when the issue was brought up to him.
Pros: I liked the location of the Travelodge and the staff was very nice.
Cons: The toilet was constantly running and the refrigerator, when plugged in, had a very high pitched sound that was constant. There was not any ventilation system within the room so windows had to be left open which I didn't necessarily deem as safe while I was sleeping being a single, female traveler.
When you stay at Seaside Inn Morro Bay, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Morro Rock and Morro Bay State Park. Guests will have free perks like WiFi, self parking, and wired Internet. Rooms feature bonuses like refrigerators and microwaves.
Pros: Loved our two-day stay here at this sea-side motel. Conveniently located on Main Street with a quick walk the embarcadero or shop on Main Streeet.
The best part was the absolute cleanliness of the property and our room. Really clean!
And the best service ever!! By the owners and staff!
Pros: The staff was super friendly and the linens didnt smell strongly of bleach, just clean

Pros: Location location location. Easy walking to front street, dinner, shops, etc.
Cons: Bed was awful, paper thin walls so heard EVERYTHING going on in the room next door.. And I mean everything. Breakfast was no bueno. Early check in was not allowed even though I requested it. If it weren't non refundable we probably would have found somewhere else to stay..
Pros: This hotel was conveniently located near the tourist areas as well as the local hangouts. It was clean and the bathrooms have been updated. We had an upstairs room with a ceiling fan and ac unit worked well. Rooms had fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Sheets were clean and fresh.
Cons: Mattress was hard as a rock, lucky I brought my tempurpedic pillow. My back was sore after the first night. Booking was supposed to be a Queen but it was more like a double. My feet hung over the bottom of the bed unless I curled up. Other than that I will definitely stay again.
Pros: Location is great about 2 blocks from the waterfront and all the shops. The staff was kind and friendly and the room spacious.
Cons: Our room was close to the cleaning closet and as of 8 am they had te laundry going which did not allow us to sleep. The breakfast is meager with morsel portions at best.
Pros: everything was new and very nice, very close to the ocean and all the shops
Cons: walls were are a little thin can hear the people snoring upstairs
