8.8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast, friendly helpful staff, good pool and facilities
Cons: Noisy main road, private parking extra €10 but hey this is Italy!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were spotless and the breakfast was excellent.
Cons: Nothing
7.5 Good
Pros: Comfortable hotel compared to those in the area. Room was clean and staff was kind.
Cons: Expensive for what it is. Not really a 5-star hotel. Breakfast needs to be greatly improved. Shower was claustrophobic. Spa prices were unreasonable for the area.
7.5 Good
Pros: Great location. Nice clean modern decor.
Cons: Air conditioning didn’t work Poor view from our room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was very clean and quiet.
Cons: Didn’t stay long enough
7.1 Good
Pros: Great location. We had a balcony facing the ocean. We enjoyed the view very much. The hotel also has a very nice pool, which we didn't use, but it's nice to have the option :)
Cons: Room was old. Bed not comfortable, bedsheets were dirty (we didn't complain since we just stayed for a night). Hotel has a parking lot, but cost extra, we just used street parking.
Overview Reviews
Located in Castelsardo, Hotel Castelsardo Domus Beach is by the sea, within a 5-minute drive of Lu Bagnu Beach and Port of Castelsardo. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, luggage storage, and an elevator. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
7.1 Good
Cons: There were everything necessary on the room, but hotel and room doesn't look nice.
4.6 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Substandard facilities Paper thin walls Plywood bathroom doors
6.7 Good
Cons: The rooms have such thin walls you can actually hear your neighbors using the toilet - like they are in your bathroom. You can also see the light from the hallway through your door. The beds are not comfortable, especially for couples. Also the staff did not give us correct information about the city, especially restaurants.
7.9 Good
Pros: The room with sea view was amazing!! Epic sunsets.
Cons: It was ok. Nothing in special.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: I liked the friendly staff and the fact you get two rooms, good value for money! Was only staying for one night, but was a pleasant stay, the bed was comfy. Free wifi. breakfast, lunch, and dinner available.
Cons: It was a little drive to the main busy city, we had a car so was fine but if you don't have a car it will be a bit of a walk. It costs extra for parking but you can find free parking nearby. No mini fridge
7.5 Good
Pros: The location is very good. The hotel yard continued to the beach as promised. Our cleanig lady was superior, although we did not have a common language all our requests were handled nicely and with devotion.
Cons: Breakfast was plentiful but boring, no variation between mornings. Lunch and dinner (tried only once) were disappointments.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Very close to beach. Good breakfast.
Cons: Very old and outdated rooms.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Basically everything! The place is amazing and clean, the location is neat since it's really close to Castelsardo but the most awesome thing is that it has its own private beach! Definitely worth it!
Cons: The only downside is that water in the structure is not drinkable, but I guess it's normal for Sardinia since it's an island and I suppose they get water from the sea which can just be partially purified. Anyway it was possible to buy water in the structure so it was ok in the end.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel exeeded my expectations because of the great value of money: clean, all the facilities needed in the room, next to the beach and at the end of may was not crowded at all, so we could enjoy our privateness and calmness. The view from the room also has a sea view and a small balcony.
Cons: the lift and corridor needed some renewal.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: All staff were super friendly & helpful. We also left some money behind & they called to let us know so we could turn back & collect it. The rooms are quite big for Italian rm standards & very clean & comfortable. Nice bathroom too.
4.2 Okay
Pros: Great view of beach
Cons: It's actually a 2 star not 4 star The main hotel is probably a 3/4 star. Breakfast included is not existent. Alot of stale food and probably about 10 choices. The swimming pool is actually at another hotel so don't let the pictures fool you.
4.2 Okay
Cons: When we wanted to check-in, nobody was at the reception. After 15 min a woman showed up without apologizing or any explanation. We had a room close to the reception where it was really loud, no sleep possible after 7.30! Our room was very dark, lights were not sufficient. Maids were screaming while cleaning the rooms so we felt very disturbed and went outside just to get some quiet. Shower was very small! I found plastic in my breakfast (porridge). Pool was not in the same building but 100meters down the road.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location, beachfront, cleanness
Cons: There were not many options in the breakfast. i.e hot food, selection of different cheese types can be added. The beach is crowdy and gets little noisy in the street during the night.

Pros: Parking
Cons: Small and poor breakfast, everyday same.

Pros: Magnificent view from the resort and rooms. The swimming pool had a good temperature and very nice veiws too. Good restaurant on the resort wih very kind staff. Short driving distance from Castelsardo with lost of restaurants.
Cons: Not a problem for us, but the resort is located on top of a hill, so walking to beach is a steep walk back.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Nice and clean room with great view, good service by nice staff, good breakfast and amazing resaurant, wonderful atmosphere etc.
Cons: Too good atmosphere to relax with small child (We were the only family with small one at that time)
5.0 Okay
Pros: When the wedding was finally over.
Cons: Hotel managers are arranging big weddings without warnings while we stayed there, it was a nightmare. Constant noise as you would expect until 11 pm, parking jammed, quite the contrary of an enjoyable relaxed stay. No discount whatsoever on the high prices they charge as well.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Top location, top services, wonderful view on Castelsardo. Very good restaurant.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Panoramic views over ocean and Castelsardo, great staff, fantastic restaurant on site for dinner (we went twice for the duck appetizer). Lots of little private areas to sit/lay and relax with a book or drink. Very private, close to town, would stay again. Wifi not the fastest but who cares for a few days with all the pluses. Very nice breakfast. Saw a hummingbird hawk-moth in the flowers off of our deck. Lots of storage and flat surfaces for your belongings.
Cons: The entrance coming up wasn’t very welcoming, and had to assume where the lobby was and where to initially park. Not a reason to not stay though. Loved it overall!

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location and comfort
Cons: basic breakfast
7.5 Good
Pros: Everything was great, except breakfast.
Cons: Everything was great, but i can not go throught this without mention it. It is absourd that at breakfast I can not take apple to the room and the staff forbidden to me and girlfriend. I changed 7hotels in 14days at Sardegna, much bigger hotels with 4* like yours and no one complaint on fruit ... Just for reflection...

Pros: Bed sleeps well and Breakfast is good, on the terras on top of the house in the sunshine, with olive oil from the friendly owner Manuele among other typical food from Sardegna. Free parking around the B&B.
Cons: Bathroom is good, but a little bit outdated.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: For 18 days - yes, 18 - I stayed at Il Tramonto and could not speak more highly of the entire experience. As others have stated, beyond the exceptional location, clean and comfortable rooms, and wonderful breakfast every morning, the best aspect of the entire stay was the host - Manuele. He is a genuine and exceptionally helpful person. To provide an example, my brother stayed with me for a week and his departing flight was canceled on the same day that I was - quite honestly - already drunk at a Sardinian wedding. No problem at all as Manuele drove him back to the airport once the flights were sorted out. He knows the area and the best places to go and is happy to give you as much or as little information as you'd like. Phenomenal experience! Thank you, Manuele. I will be back!
Cons: That I had to leave? Nothing else.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely big, clean room. Plenty of reviews about the breakfast and it is all true;the best breakfast in Sardinia by a mile. Friendly host and easy walk to the beach/old town
Cons: Nothing. There was some street noise but nothing the property could do about that.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Manuele is a very friendly host. He cooks the most beautiful fresh breakfast (we had bruscetta’s with homemade olive oil and fresh herbs and everything - the best during our holiday!) breakfast on the roof is really nice, also very easy to walk to all the restaurants and into the city center. Lovely bathroom. Highly recommended.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: - Best breakfast I ever had in Sardinia (prepared by Manuele) - The room was clean and get the AC - The location (in the new town close to the old town)
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice host! Fantastic breakfast! Beautiful room, in the centre perfect.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Manuel the owner is simply amazing he is such a really nice guy! The breakfast produce of fresh peaches, olive oil, tomatoes and herbs are all grown in his garden and on the terrace. His homemade fig jam is to die for and his knowledge of were to visit and which restaurants to use was invaluable. The B&B is clean, spacious and in the town in easy walking distance to everything so no need to use the car at night. Parking is free and on the road outside and we did not have any trouble finding a space. Manuel gave us a bag with two beach towels and two beach chairs and an umbrella for us to use, how thoughtful. We are now staying in a hotel in the south costing four times as much and were happier in Manuel’s B&B. If we visit Castelsardo again this is the only place we would choose to stay and would thoroughly recommend to anybody and friends and family.
Cons: Nothing, all good!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hospitality of Manuele and his father Paolo was amazing. The place is very well located and the breakfast is excellent. There is a washer that you can use for free. Both Manuele and Paolo gave us suggestions about places, restaurantes and beaches to visit. Wifi worked perfect. We would love to come back!
Cons: Nothing to say here.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Good location, with plenty of parking spaces nearby (mid June). The breakfast was brilliant, and Manuele was very helpful and went out of his way to help us with every question or request, including restaurant recommendations. The room was well equipped and the terrace upstairs was lovely. I enjoyed the stay and would be happy to recommend it or stay there again. Overall, good value for money.
Cons: Nothing that I can think of.

B&B Colti Di Rosa - Castelsardo - Building

9.3 Excellent (342 reviews)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: One of the best place I've ever been. Mr Roberto, you and your family are the best! Tasty breakfasts, cozy and clean room, nice location in gorgeous town. In my opinion: HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was very special, being in the historic town center. Nice restaurants and the beautiful view from the castle walls are a 2 minute walk away. Although our room was small, I would expect most B&B's in the town center (inside the castle walls - not a large area) would have "cosy" spaces. The proprietors (husband and wife) were very welcoming and we enjoyed talking to them - between their passable English and my wife's smattering of Italian we got along well.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The bedroom was big with a terrace looking over the sea. Breakfast on the terace. the place where we stay was quiet and centralise.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was great in the middle of the old town of Castelsardo. Roberto was a very kind and helpful host, and he arraged for us a wonderful breakfast on his rooftop with beautiful views of the Churchtower and the sea. We can highly recommend this place!

Cons: Nothing, everything was great

Pros: Kind staff, breakfast, location, view, nice teracce.
Cons: Equipment in the room needs refreshment. Parking is a problem in high season.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Stayed from 19th to 26 th October 2019. It was not so busy because it was after main season. The personel was very gentle, caring and professsional (to name a few: receptionist Camilla, waitress Elvira, the other male and female recptionist, the cleaning lady) . The receptionists knew more foreign languages (English, some of them as well French from what I overheard). When there was some small issue reported, the staff arranged to get it fixed. Hotel's terrace is nice place where you can sit or even lay on deck chair, relax, watch the sea, enjoy the spectacular view on the castle and sip from the coctail drink from the bar below. Small beach is very close in walking distance (like 200m max). Breakfasts were plentiful and good. They cook well in restaurant (Il Fuoco) too - the prizes are bit higher for my financial options though - not for every day eating (waitress Elvira was perfect). The room was nice, clean and functional. My room was not having view to sea or the main street which is convenient for somebody who lieks quiet - especially during the high season - looks like the traffic can be heavy there.
Cons: Some parts of room were calling a bit for refurbishing (in my room 133 the dors to shower). But I'm travelling solo and exploring a lot so I do not spend much time in room. My room was was with view to garden which in reality was the concrete wall with some vegetation hanging down. Wording matters.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The terrace, overlooking the village and the sea. Very nice staff, all of them. Good breakfast and also tasty dinners. Very clean.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Location, croissant smell at the morning
Cons: Staff is indifferent to everything and not helpful, hotel is super old, especially in the rooms everything falling apart. The door at the toilet was broken and in one moment just shut by the wind and i couldnt open it from inside after. I was making noice and only after 1,5 hour the cooking shef saved me. Administrator didnt come even and no execuses, no discount or compliment, just nothing. Moreover after such stress i have lost my pants there and nobody contacted me. So i dont recomend this place.

Cons: Parking is a bit complicated, but thats general for Castelsardo
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was great, right inside Castelsardo - within walking distance to restaurants, shops, and the beach. The view from the terrace of the hotel was beautiful. The staff was very helpful, especially Fredrika! The rooms were a good size and very clean.
Cons: The beds were uncomfortable, as the full bed was two beds pushed together. Breakfast was also not that great.
7.9 Good
Pros: Nice view of the sea and castle

7.5 Good
Pros: Very nice wiew, nice beds, very good breakfast,
6.3 Good
Pros: The location of the hotel is perfect. Amazing sea view, especially the sun set view with the Castelsardo city. The beach for the hotel is although a little small but also very good. Because the beach is very near the hotel and far from the city, so you don't need to worry about the crowded people join this beach even in the high season. And the waves near the beach is peaceful and suit for swim (Although the sand of the beach is not very good: not fine) .
Cons: The room facilities is too simple and crude. We even met the water leakage situation of the bathroom during the stay. But the most thing we must complain is the very very big music noise from about 21 o'clock to about 0 o'clock at evening. The reason for this noise is the hotel music party night every day in front of the main building. Because our room is located in the main building. So it is impossible to get a sleep before midnight for the very loud noise. We must say, we don't recommend the hotel guest to book the rooms in the main building of the hotel. Besides, the wifi of the hotel is really very poor but still need to pay.
4.2 Okay
Pros: Location, pool view is nice, lots of potential...
Cons: Room horribly smelling and no soap, need to pay extra for wifi and car parking, breakfast and especially the coffee is awful, noise in the room in the morning as positioned under the breakfast room, got an eye irritation after swimming in the pool, not enough chairs in the pool. Overall, we probably were unlucky with the room but doesn't feel like a 4 star (and in general you don't even feel to be in Sardegna). We stayed only one night in our tour through Sardegna and we were extremely glad to leave this place.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: The view on the sea was beautiful. I think that all
Cons: The rooms were very dirty. The air conditioning was leaking and it was a rotten smell. In the other room of the children it was full of ants. The children woke up with ants in their luggage. A nightmare The food was bad and expensive and little choice on the buffet
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff of the hotel was amazingly nice, they knew Spanish and also English. The hotel has amazing views, gorgeous buffet breakfast included in the price and a wonderful swimming pool with a sea view. It was the best price-accommodation in Sardinia for us. Thank you very much :)
Cons: Nothing!
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing
Cons: It was dirty, the staff were rude, the first room smelt of drains and the second room was flooded. The beds were camp beds. Do not stay here
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The maids and cooks were really nice! The pizza which is offered in the second restaurant for dinner is absolutely delicious! We still can not understand that there is negative feedback about it. If you're a seafood lover, you'll love the meals. In general, there's an okay choice of food during the meals. In the morning, you can even get freshly made omelettes and fried eggs. The view from the restaurant is breath taking! We liked that our apartment had a terrace with the opportunity to hang our towels and swim suits for drying. The bathroom is really clean and ours was newly renovated.
Cons: The staff in the restaurant couldn't handle their work. They were always too slow and the guests had to clean their own tables if they wanted to eat. We did not like that there were several types of all inclusive. While one might think that the word all inclusive already means that everything is included, there are still two other options with different types of bracelet: In one, there is beer, rum and gin included (which is not included in the all inclusive) and with the other bracelet which you can buy there for 35€/week, you can extend you options until midnight instead of 22h. At the pool, the guests started to block the sunbeds from 8 in the morning so that we could not get any sunbed when arriving at the pool after breakfast (at about 9:30h). There were plenty of empty sunbeds blocked with towels until the guests came eventually, some even at 11h or later. To sum it up, there are not enough sunbeds for the pool area. Even though the hotel advertises to remove towels from obviously blocked sunbeds, we never experienced them to actually do it.
5.4 Okay
Pros: We liked the location. Views are beautiful.
Cons: Staff were helpful but a little ineffective at sorting out the problems we had with the room. We had a leaking shower which left our bathroom floor flooded and slippery. We also had a leaking air conditioning unit. The room was damp smelling and noisy, right near kitchen and bar area, music till 12.00 am. And near cleaning facilities /laundry which meant 6.00 am wake up calls. We reported both issues 3 times and they sent someone to look who apparently fixed it, only for it to happen again. We asked to move rooms due to issues and noise and was told we had been upgraded and we would move to a room with no view (our room had view of pool and sea) and no balcony.
