After a difficult visit to Rome, Castiglioncelllo and the Albergo Bartoli were a lovely contrast. I was welcomed by, I think, the owner, who carried my bag upstairs. The hotel felt safe and comfortable. The breakfast included lovely homemade cakes. The hotel is really conveniently situated between the train station, town with restaurants and shops, and the beach and harbour. Good wifi.
Very good location. Friendly staff.
Small room. We missed the air conditioning and small accessories eg. hairdrier.
I felt lucky to stay here... it is an old time family owned albergo that has personality with an excellent location in Castiglioncello. My room was large with beautiful old tile floors (please never change these!) It had an updated clean clean bathroom and window. It was easy to walk down the stairs to the small but excellent beach nearby. There are other surprises in this town, too... I took a walk in the beautiful oceanside pinoli forest... that had a little cinema, putt putt golf, secondhand book kiosks, cafes, and garden... spread out under the large trees. I was late to breakfast... and they were kind enough to let me enjoy it anyways. There were homemade treats, cheese and meat... and cappuccino. The town was delightful and I tried to stay another night but no rooms were available on a Saturday night! Will go back!
Great location in a wonderful little town. Warm welcome from the staff. Lots of character in the interior but spotless. Welcoming to children.
Not much. There was a loud techno party across the bay that was very loud on a Saturday night.
The location was perfect, just 2 min walk from the beach, close to everything. There's a small decent breakfast included in the price as well. The place has a very charming vibe with cozy common areas for just sitting and chilling. The atmosphere is very relaxed, quite and calm. It is super for a couple of days to relax in Castiglioncello.
Not having an A/C during the boiling summer months is a bit of a pain - even during the nights with open windows the air moves little. The room we were given was actually a different one from the photos attached to our booking.com confirmation: it did not have the "sea view" which the booking said it would.
