The receptionist was very helpful and she recommended a lovely local style restaurant nearby with excellent food.
The rooms and the bathrooms were very small, the beds were hard, the pillows were awful and it was noisy. Value for money was poor. Breakfast was below average.
The staff were all helpful and friendly. The location is very good indeed.
The room we had was very basic and small. Since our last visit, five years ago, provision for breakfast has declined somewhat.
The hotel is comfortable, though the shower room was small. It is well situated, being right on the harbour but not in a noisy part of it.It has an excellent and good value restaurant right beside it. Breakfasts were good, particularly the generous helpings of fresh orange juice from an orange squashing machine.
I was surprised that the manager should come into our room and rifle through my wife's suitcase looking for a bag that he mistakenly thought he should not have left in our room on behalf of the asssociation whose AGM we were attending.
Excellent location, the view from the balcony was incredible! Good breakfasts which can be eaten outside on the harbour front, a small modern bar with a lovely garden terrace. I go regularly to Chania and will use this hotel again.
The rooms had limited storage space but no problem for one or two night stays.
Right on the waterfront in Chania, near plenty of restaurants, maritime museum and "old town centre", this is a great spot and will recommend to all our friends. Special mention due to the little lassie on reception (pregnant) who was an absolute gem. Management (listen up) she deserves a raise !!
Car parking can be a bit problematic, and vehicular access generally not great- but this is also an advantage reducing traffic along the beautiful waterfront !!
Position of hotel
Would have preferrd room overlooking harbour
its location and the view from the rooms
a bit expensive
location was alright
1 staff was extremely rude. 1 was ok, and 1 was helpful. I lost my luggage and they were not very sympathetic.
This hotel is located on the quieter side of the harbor. Our balcony provided a nice place to relax, enjoy the breeze, and look over the harbor and street activity. It is an easy walk to the rest of the old town and numerous restaurants. Customer service was great. The staff spoke English, provided an early breakfast since we had an early bus trip to the gorge, called taxis, sold stamps, and laundry prices were reasonable for a hotel. The hotel provides a big breakfast buffet with fresh orange juice. You could get English news on the TV.
The room itself was a bit small and drab, but clean. The beds were hard like most hotels in Greece. While the hotel is in a quiet area of the harbor, there was a fair amount of background noise (elevators, doors, etc) from the hotel itself.
