Within walking distance to Queen street and downtown Charlottetown. Selection of DVD's to watch.
This is an old house and very loud. You can hear your neighbors above, below, and beside you. It was freezing in the rooms. For just a few dollars more you can stay at a hotel down the street. Did not even meet the host during my stay.
Delicious breakfast, friendly staff,clean
Bathroom was small. Tight parking
The locations was great. Close to Victoria Park, the waterfront, and downtown. It was a "charming" place as its name implies. Breakfast was good and it is served like a restaurant rather than a buffet.
While the decor is charming, there is a fine line between colonial style and just old. Also, as a warning, it is an old wooden house, so lots of creaking floors. I didn't mind though, I thought it added to the charm.
Having a 2 bedroom room in a hotel is not so common so this was great for our family. The restaurant on site was great. The staff at check in and check out were extremely friendly and asked for feedback from us on the spot.
The walls were quite thin and so we did hear a lot of noise from adjoining rooms. Also thicker curtains would be great as there was a lot of light from outside. Both my partner and I woke during the night thinking it was morning and it was the middle of the night.
Huge room. Good rate. Good location. Excellent breakfast. Very helpful manager. First impression not the best but this place does grow on you. Smoking in rooms may be an issue.
First impression was old building, creaky floors, dark interior. However the room we had in the newer ground level addition was huge and more modern. Another couple with us had an equally large room at the top of house with balcony.
Located in downtown Charlottetown on Prince Edward Island is the Colonial Charm Inn. It’s a bed and breakfast that is walking distance from many restaurants, shops, attractions, and things to do. It offers quaint, colonial-style accommodations that are comfortable and endearing.
The hotel has different styles of rooms that all have an apartment feel to them. There are only about 12 of them. They range from small studios to larger apartments with kitchenettes and balconies. Many of the comforts of home are present in these rooms. There are couches, TVs, free WiFi, refrigerators, dishwashers, coffeemakers, premium bedding, and more.
Breakfast is served every morning at the Colonial Charm Inn. Guests have the facilities to prepare some meals in their rooms also. There are many options for dining right around the hotel’s location. Hunter’s Ale House isn’t far away. Neither is Pilot House, Sobey’s supermarket, and the Farmer’s Market.
Colonial Charm Inn is within walking distance of the Confederation Court Mall, the Government House, Beaconsfield Historic House, and The Guild. Guests will find they can park their cars in the free parking area and walk to anywhere they want to go. The town is home to many festivals that visitors can check out during their stays also.
This bed and breakfast hotel is perfect for a couple on a trip together, but would also be great for families on vacation. The setting is very homey and good for anyone wanting to relax and get away from the daily grind.
