Grounds and buildings are magnificent
View from ground floor room, just a concrete lattice retaining wall with gravel spilling from it, 2 feet from the window!
For Fantastic location friendly and helpful staff clean . Against tired looking carpets and decor would definitely stay again
Lovely main building and beautiful surrounding area
The approach to the hotel was lovely and the lady on reception was very helpful. Breakfast was good and the pool was a bonus.
They put us in their conference centre, if you hear them say 'the mews' when checking in, be prepared to be underwhelmed. The room was dated, hot, small, glum, walls were covered the scuff marks, sink plug hole had hair in (lovely) basically think poor mans Travel Lodge / Premier Inn... which is fine, I have nothing against. But when you tell your wife, I have booked somewhere nice, it is a bit of a gutter. STOP YOUR FALSE REPRESENTATION OF ROOMS IN PHOTOS
Nice gardens. Good breakfast and fab staff.
The bathroom was grubby, the sink was broken. I refused to shower there! Really was a big let down. And the biggest issue we had is the really bad night sleep we had. Someone was walking around at 2 am and it sounded like it was in our room. It was so loud, I honestly thought a room was being serviced. Sleep is the biggest thing someone goes to a hotel for and for that reason I wouldn’t stay again. I felt so ill the following day and we were heading into central London for a hospital appointment! The whole idea of going there the day before so we didn’t have to get up early.
