Pros: Fantastic apartment, very clean, with all mod-cons. Staff were very friendly. The tapas restaurant, below the apartments, is superb. Great location, ideal base for our visit to Gerrards Cross Golf Club. Really impressed - thank you
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic apartment, it had everything we needed even down to washing machine & coffee machine which the coffee pods were provided. Beds were really comfortable, whole apartment was spotlessly clean. They also have Netflix which was an added bonus. It was our anniversary and we ate in the restaurant next door called La Bodega, the food was fantastic and the staff were lovely. We will definitely be coming back.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel with very friendly staff!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nicely decorated rooms and lovely staff - very welcoming and accommodating.
Cons: Very thin walls and creaky floors - means if people in other rooms are moving about it’s impossible to sleep. Also our room was over the kitchen - we had to have the window open as it was hot weather and the cooking smells that came up were a bit overpowering.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean, bedroom was large with excellent facilities.
Cons: Nothing
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely breakfast Comfortable room, well equipped
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The food was fabulous!! The building was absolutely charming and as we were visiting our childhood it was very convenient.
Cons: My son his wife and 5 year old child were in a room with too much road noise and the motor from possibly the chiller went on and off all might. Also the extractor fan from the restaurant was outside their room making it very smelly. at the price we paid we really need someone to help carrying the bags up the stairs. There were a lot of little stairs going up and down all very charming but not with heavy suitcases.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Room was pretty. Bathroom was clean.
Cons: The desk and coffee machine covered in dust. As was the plant. Road was very noisy.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location to visit The Chilterns. Very friendly staff and great breakfasts and dinners at a good value. Lovely garden to sit in and enjoy an evening or midday pint.
Cons: The bathroom-poor lighting, poor shower and a dangerous bathtub lacking a non slip surface. But clean.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great welcome and super food. Definitely a good location for a weekend in this part of Buckinghamshire. Very friendly.
Cons: Housekeeping could have been more attentive. The missing light bulb on our dressing table lamp never got replaced. Coffee capsules for the Nesperesso machine were not replenished each day.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Quaint and homely, very nice bedrooms, excellent breakfast, garden lovely
Cons: All good
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly welcome. We had a meal with friends in the evening and meals were great. Comfortable bed in a very clean room. Shower was excellent. Then after a superb breakfast we were offered a lift to the railway station. Overall highly recommended.

5.5 Okay
Pros: Great looking property with superb character, good food and friendly staff
Cons: The room (an exec room) that we were allocated was disappointingly characterless and located in an annex to the main hotel. The room was on the small aide and the bed was a basic double. I am sure the hotel haven’t misrepresented anything but it just wasn’t our expectation for the amount we paid...
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Room small and very hot had to ask for a fan . Very heavy duvet I bought my own sheet as that is all we needed. Nothing replaced in the tea things and difficult to manage in a draw
Cons: The hotel is old and in a great spot in Amersham
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything, really lovely thank you.
Cons: I don't think there is anything to fault really. The soap wrack in the shower is rusty but who cares, that can be changed. The bar is lovely, quaint, expected it to be bigger but again, no worries.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: An excellent quiet bedroom. An excellent English Breakfast in the morning
Cons: Seating in the pub could be a bit more comfortable. Yes it’s a very old establishment but a bit more comfort in the bar area would be brilliant.

Pros: Location and old style are amazing
Cons: A little bit far from the station - we ordered a taxi
10.0 Excellent

8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location was excellent for our stay. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. Lovely powerful shower.
Cons: Unfortunately we stayed on the hottest day/night of the year, our room was exceedingly hot even with the supplied fan, so sleeping was very difficult . Room & bed was smaller than expected.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was fabulous and bed very comfortable
Cons: The room was too hot. The accommodation is on the road so traffic noise was loud in the morning
6.3 Good

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Swift check in. Room had all necessities.
Cons: Difficult to find. NOT actually on the High Street - was round the rear of the Giggling Squid restaurant. Only a double bed - need king size. Shower head needed as rainfall one can’t be re-directed away from head/face.
4.3 Okay
Pros: The location was good
Cons: It was very overpriced for what is essentially a budget motel. The rooms are very dark and dreary, the bed was uncomfortable and the shower was close to useless. There is no bar area, and breakfast is served in a small cafe which ran out of available seats on the morning we were there so people were stood waiting for others to finish.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location was brilliant and staff were great. Bedrooms lovely.
Cons: More milk in room. Taps in room 34 need adjusting and more hangers.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Friendly welcome, nice staff, simple check in. Breakfast was good!
Cons: Was hard to find the place - there's no clear signage anywhere and then no signs to lead you to the car park so we had to drive around looking for it. The alarm clock in our room was set for 7am, so that wasn't very nice on a Saturday morning after a night out at a wedding.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Quist, clean, air con, complementary water, great breakfast
Cons: A lit makeup mirror would have helped. The lighting was difficult to put on makeup.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful stay, staff extremely helpful!
Cons: Everything was perfect
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Breakfast was acceptable but that was only the food. I am finding it difficult to praise anything else. I note that my original review cannot be seen??
Cons: The cost of the stay was double its worth. Couldn't find reception, car park was shared with another hotel, I was lucky to get the next last space. The room had a serious lack of lighting, dingy net curtain let in very little light from the alleyway outside (this was one of the brightest days in July. Described as 'luxury', the bathroom was screaming for attention with a constant running tap. the usual grime around the shower and so much rust on the toilet brush I wouldn't risk lifting it. Staff; well, they came across as thoroughly dejected, greeting comments with "we get this all the time". Although the breakfast was OK, I made the mistake of putting my hands on the counter when giving my order and had to peel them off. That is no exaggeration. I don't knowhow many rooms there are in this place but there certainly aren't enough breakfast tables, following the wait for a seat it was another 20 minutes for the breakfast, the plate of which was taken up mostly with toast. Had I paid £70 for this experience I would have accepted that you get what you pay for, the cost was £145:50. There is a fine line between the definition of a hotel and a Bed & Breakfast and this place in my opinion needs to re-evaluate its status.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent service. Everything very clean.
Cons: Nil
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location and great hotel
Cons: Nothing
5.0 Okay
Pros: Not a lot!!
Cons: Finding it was very difficult, the entrance is not on High Street. There was no offer to take my bag to the room, stairs and doors to negotiate. Pillows too small but too thick. En-suite very poorly laid out. Water very slow running. Shower only had a waterfall head and it either froze or boiled you. I could hear the TV next door through the wall. Queue for breakfast, I gave up. Overall very, very poor.

Pros: Great location loverly people
Cons: Liked everything
8.3 Excellent
Cons: Very central location with parking and easy access Staff helpful Quiet spot
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Every thing was perfect
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were expecting a small hotel on a main road, which from the price we paid, would be fairly basic. Instead, we had a lovely room in a house in a new development, with an allocated car parking space. Our room was supremely comfortable and despite being near a main road and at the back of a pub, it was very quiet. It was spotlessly clean, as was the bathroom. As it says in the details, it’s a shared bathroom but that was no problem. The keys have to picked up from the bar in The Robin Hood where we enjoyed a few of the excellent selection of real ales. The owners were helpful and friendly too. Altogether a great experience. Wellbrook House is a place we’ll be happy to stay in again next time we’re down in Tring.
Cons: Nothing. Can’t really fault the place.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The bed was incredibly comfortable and the bathroom was very well presented, even had a beauty mirror!
Cons: Slight confusion with getting the keys from the pub out front.
6.8 Good
Pros: The accomodation was in a good location.
Cons: We struggled to have a good night sleep as the walls are thin and the people sharing the flat left at 4.30am
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Convenient
Cons: Sharing bathroom
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Staff very friendly, convenient and good value
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: Nothing really, apart from staying on the ground floor.

Featured amenities include a 24-hour business center, express check-out, and complimentary newspapers in the lobby. This hotel has 16 meeting rooms available for events. Free self parking is available onsite.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Clean and quiet beautiful grounds and friendly staff
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location of Pendley Manor is wonderful, far enough away from the centre of London to have a relaxing countryside break, but close enough with excellent transport links to get to the centre for a day out. The hotel itself is beautiful- great facilities in a wonderful country house. The food was excellent- we had an evening meal as well as breakfast and we were very well catered for. The staff are warm, friendly and helpful and really helped to make our stay special. We’ll be returning!
Cons: Nothing-everything was great!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Rooms have been refurbished and updated, lovely comfortable bed
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Always a lovely place to return to, usually for Chilfest but this time for the Shakespeare festival, which was a fantastic experience. The wonderful grounds - always nice to see, and hear, the peacocks again! Super breakfast and nice bonus to be able to have a swim afterwards.
Cons: It seemed odd to be given a disabled-adapted room when not asked for or required - surely it would be more appropriate to reserve those for people who specially request them.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The location and surroundings were stunning. It was spacious and provided chance to walk around the grounds and also have a wander inside. The food was very good, booked dinner when we arrived and was not disappointed and the breakfast had a very varied selection.
Cons: It was a shame the sauna/steam room area was not open as it was undergoing a revamp but we were aware of this when we made the booking. There's not much I could fault however, the waiting staff did not check on how our meal was when we had dinner but that's a very small point. Overall the service was good.
7.5 Good
Pros: Breakfast was very nice and we chose the hotel because of the location
Cons: The disabled room did not work for tall able bodied people as the wash hand basin was low and too narrow
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very accommodating staff. Nice pool.
Cons: Kippers available at breakfast as advertised.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Lovely room. The staff were very polite, helpful and courteous. Great breakfast. A short walk from Chilfest. Good gym and equipment. Beautiful grounds. The whole weekend just felt very relaxing.
Cons: The room we were in was next to the staff exit to the car park. The constant entrance/ egress of staff causing the door to bang was annoying. Reception offered us 3 alternative rooms but none were as spacious or light so we took the chance that staff wouldn’t be to-ing and fro-ing at night. We were right and had a great stay.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable, spacious room. Great location for walking in the lovely Ashridge Forest.
Cons: Breakfast was plentiful and good quality but more provision could have been made for a healthier option. All the cereals had a high sugar content; a low-sugar muesli would have been appreciated and provision of a fruit bowl would have been good.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, room was great and the breakfast was as good as I’ve had in a hotel
Cons: Nothing

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely location , comfortable room and excellent staff .

Cons: The bathrooms are a little outdated,
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location staff comfortable
Cons: Nothing
7.5 Good
Pros: Excellent restaurant friendly staff
Cons: More coffee making facilities in room biscuit
8.8 Excellent
Pros: THE ROOM,FOOD AND LOCATION SPOT ON
Cons: TOO FRUGAL WITH THE ROOM MILK SACHET, AND ALSO THE TEA BAGS. THE ROOM WAS FAR TOO DARK LITTLE VENTILATION, AND IVY/VEGATAION HAD TOTALLY OVERGROWN THE SEMI OPEN WINDOW. WE COULD NOT SEE OUT !!!, EVEN WITH ALL THE LIGHTS ON, IT WAS STILL FAR TOO DARK.

6.3 Good
Pros: Great location in the centre of Berkhamstead. Fantastic breakfast. Nice and stylish room decor.
Cons: Room was very warm but there were two fans in the room (one broken). Overlooked beer garden (open until 1am) so good job we were there for a wedding and out late as room would have been very noisy. Could feel all the springs in the bed (even through the wedding drinks!). Staff were lovely but breakfast service chaotic and slow.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Location and staff and breakfast was great, size of room good
Cons: Windows didn’t open on 2/3 inches. Not sure these met fire regs !!!!! Room to hot , although fans in room they only circulated warm air. Shower not great too hot to start took a long time to get temp correct and pressure poor on the evening but ok by morning ? bed a bit lumpy but ok
5.8 Okay
Pros: Convievent location
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast and friendly, helpful staff. Nice Nespresso machine and good high street location.
Cons: Bed creaked quite a bit which disturbed my sleep a little. The restaurant/pub is busy - because it is good - but this meant it was quite noisy in the evening if you want to relax in your room.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was very good and what was included was very good value for money. Staff were absolutely lovely. All around, it was a very pleasant experience and we would definitely stay again.
Cons: Only difficulty was parking. The sister hotel parking was actually further away than was suggested on the site when we made the booking, which was tricky due to my partner's disability.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was lovely
Cons: No local parking and parking at sister hotel was quite a walk
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very convenient as overnight stop on way to Heathrow. The staff were outstanding. Our host was very helpful and obliging and our breakfast waitress of Polish origin was lovely.
Cons: Nothing

Cons: Quite noisey, but that's what the ear plugs are for!

Pros: In town centre yet surprisingly quiet for a pub.
Cons: The lights in the room needed a card inserted to function. However the card holder was damaged and the lights kept going off.

Cons: Out door area could do with smartening up, seemed to be just a smokers retreat
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: It's a beautiful old building.
Cons: the rooms were in a very poor state of repair. facilities and decor were outdated and very tired.
3.6 Mediocre
Pros: Convenience of location
Cons: In desperate need of modernisation
6.0 Good
Pros: Room suited my requirements as a single traveller
Cons: Breakfast could be improved upon. Some fresh fruit and yogurt. Scrambled egg instead of a fry. Otherwise adequate
6.8 Good
Pros: Nice decor good size bathroom with a bath rather then just a shower
Cons: None really
6.6 Good
Pros: Direct access to my room through courtyard but could get to rest of hotel through internal doors for breakfast etc Friendly helpful staff with an individual cafetiere of excellent coffee to go with my order of continental breakfast. Location great for visiting and sightseeing in Berkhemsted

Pros: Pool, and steam room lovely lounges in main building to relax, excellent breakfast
Cons: No toiletries in rooms
5.0 Okay
Pros: the Breakfast is good and the main building is nice as is the location
Cons: The rooms are of poor standard and cleanliness given the price
7.5 Good
Pros: Lovely breakfast, building and location.
Cons: The ground floor room had no windows, just a patio door, so the room was VERY hot. Also the heating/water pipes were very noisy. Pet friendly rooms, but no dog waste bins to be found.
7.0 Good
Pros: Nice gardens. Good breakfast and fab staff.
Cons: The bathroom was grubby, the sink was broken. I refused to shower there! Really was a big let down. And the biggest issue we had is the really bad night sleep we had. Someone was walking around at 2 am and it sounded like it was in our room. It was so loud, I honestly thought a room was being serviced. Sleep is the biggest thing someone goes to a hotel for and for that reason I wouldn’t stay again. I felt so ill the following day and we were heading into central London for a hospital appointment! The whole idea of going there the day before so we didn’t have to get up early.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. Breakfast was amazing.
Cons: The food, service and everything was amazing. There's nothing we didn't like.
3.3 Mediocre
Cons: - Wasps nest outside the room - Loud neighbors banging on doors in the middle of the night - Towels were on the floor on arrival - Very odd/suspicious dirt marks all around the room - Very hot and stuffy
6.3 Good
Pros: The approach to the hotel was lovely and the lady on reception was very helpful. Breakfast was good and the pool was a bonus.
Cons: They put us in their conference centre, if you hear them say 'the mews' when checking in, be prepared to be underwhelmed. The room was dated, hot, small, glum, walls were covered the scuff marks, sink plug hole had hair in (lovely) basically think poor mans Travel Lodge / Premier Inn... which is fine, I have nothing against. But when you tell your wife, I have booked somewhere nice, it is a bit of a gutter. STOP YOUR FALSE REPRESENTATION OF ROOMS IN PHOTOS

Pros: staff very friendly and helpful, food was good quality and freshly made (though why the insistence on serving everything on a piece of timber? Josiah Wedgewood would be spinning in his grave!) excellent price, beautiful grounds and the rooms were comfortable. nice touch being the biscuits and hot chocolate on the tea tray!
Cons: no headboard on the bed for some reason and the shower had one of those fancy heads with stones inside which needed descaling. tables in the bar could do with being replaced too as the amount they rocked made you sea sick.

Pros: Food
Cons: Beware if you are just B&B.Your not allowed to checkin before 5 and you have to check out at 10am. Cafe is closed by then and you have very limited time in spa facilities, which defeats the purpose of staying there.

Pros: The jacuzzi and the pool/ sauna and stream room was absolutely lovely and I did meet some staff member which were extremely helpful and lovely and I did get a little discount for the circumstances which I appreciated and the food was lovely
Cons: The bedding was not clean it had some nasty stains plus it was 2 single mattresses zipped together which meant the bed had a dip in the middle which was very uncomfortable for myself and my partner to sleep in , the dessert was served to us and we decided to take it to our room because what it was served with it made my partner sick and he threw it back up which was unsettling fortunately I didn’t eat what it was served with so I was okay , some of the staff members were extremely but I think that because we may not as came across as high class as the other customers which is no reason to be treated different but yeah.

5.0 Okay
Pros: Nice large room. The bedding and room clean.. adequate parking.
Cons: Shelf in bathroom in wrong position. Very tiny shower cubicle. Disappointed that no meals were offered on a Tuesday. Breakfast was cornflakes or bran flakes. Went to the Half Moon down the road for evening meal and it was excellent. Therefore £60 for just a twin bedded room was a little excessive. Also could not arrive or book in until 4.30pm. We had to pay on arrival and was informed to leave at 10am and leave the key in the door.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely pub with tasty traditional pub grub, clean and great value accommodation and friendly staff
7.0 Good
Pros: Only 2 rooms so the whole area was for ourselves. Nice host very helpful
Cons: A bit more remote than expected. Unfortunately they do not do meals in the evening on Monday and the bar closes at 10pm. But very nice and helpful host.

Cons: Low ceiling in shower. Drinking glasses provided but no juice for breakfast to put in them. Iron and ironing board provided but no hairdryer. Disappointed to find one croissant out of date.
7.5 Good
Pros: Comfortable bed, peaceful location. Perfectly adequate night's stay.
Cons: The room was on the ground floor with a window directly onto the path and road. It would have been useful to have some sort of net curtain as I had to keep the curtains closed when I got up in the morning.

6.8 Good
Pros: Very warm welcome from owner and pub customers. Lovely characterful pub. Comfy bed.
Cons: Milk in small fridge in room was sour, previously opened pint. Therefore provided cereal for brekkie a crunchy experience! (Also instant porridge pots provided.) Curly ? armpit hair in shower tray, sink a bit dirty. (Note: Shower cubicle ceiling low - if you’re 6ft your head would be touching.) Bathroom bin had prev guest’s rubbish in it. Musty smell in shower room, extractor fan not working.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The traditional feel and the breakfast.
Cons: The GPS location was wrong. It would be nice if they have some signpost at the road junctions
