We have been to Venice previously and thought of visiting again this time. But why bother? Chioggia has it all ! without the crowds. Casa di Carlo Goldoni and its charming Host, is perfectly located between the canal and the main Piazzo. Serviced by a multitude of restaurants and cafes. The local fishing fleet provides plentiful seafood. The property is well appointed with own side entrance; a courtyard; bicycles; and secure car parking is available. Unload out front; drive to car park and 10 min walk back across canals on bridges built centuries ago. We would willingly go back here.
Everything, cannot think of a single bad point. Thank you Guilia for making our stay so nice
The offer of breakfasts is sufficient for all. Giulia prepares perfect coffee :) She is very nice and helpful. The stay in this beautiful historic house was excellent
Breakfeast was very nice. One should not miss a historical tour of the owners.
The location on the Vena canal in a really pretty area of the old part of this charming fishing port which is actually part of Venice. A €20 day ticket can take you across to the Pellestrina, across to the Lido, across to San Marco, to Murano and anywhere else you want to go in the Lagoon. Very economical. The b&b was excellent, a private entrance onto the canal and cute little bridge; a bar fridge and tea-making facilities, a lovely courtyard in this renovated historical building, a great breakfast, a host and hostess for whom nothing was too much trouble. They really went above and beyond the call of duty. Plenty of bars and restaurants close by, lots of old churches, boat tours on the lagoon, great seafood, and a nice local feel, not too many tourists. Also a huge market in the main street sometimes. Excellent place for people-watching. I could go on! A good pasticerie and a fruit and vegie shop outside my door. TV if you've got time.
Honestly I can't think of anything that I didn't like.
