Cons. We had two rooms. One had a partial ocean view over Gulf Blvd. The other over the poll and the harbor. If you need to sleep at night, avoid a room over Gulf Blvd. There's a bar there unrelated to the hotel with late night music. The music went to 1:15 AM the last night we were there.
Pros. Very clean, modern and comfortable room
Cons. Four elevators are not enough for that building, one of them was broken. Regular buffet have been replaced by poor options to go.
Pros. This hotel is in a fairly perfect location. It was close to what we wanted to see/do. We were on the 7th floor facing the gulf so the view was beautiful! All of the staff i interacted with was very friendly and helpful. It was a refreshing change from stays in other locations. We were also close to this restaurant named King's pizza and grill. We were coming back to the room on our first night hungry and trying to find something close by to eat. We stumbled into there and personally found their pizza and breaded mushrooms to be so tasty that we went back again the following night! It was very convenient.
Cons. I had a small issue with a few cleanliness things. The first night, i pulled back the sheets and there was a small bloodstain that i wasn't thrilled with and some hair in with the sofa bedding (in the closet). As a whole though, it looked mostly well cleaned. I personally found the beds to be a bit more firm than i would have preferred and the pillows a bit too soft. Breakfast was our biggest dislike. There was nothing good about the to go bags you could get. I do understand there are restrictions in place due to covid but there are other things they could do to still provide a hot breakfast. They could still make hot breakfast and THEY could serve it to you (put your desired breakfast items on a plate or in a to go box). This is being done at other buffet restaurants so it's possible. Other hotels ive stayed at recently had things such as hot breakfast sandwiches and just wrapped each individually. This is an area they have room for much improvement. Obviously none of these things were bad enough for me to not enjoy my stay. In fact, we overall enjoyed our stay so much that we added on a 3rd night.
Cons. We were booked for 3 nights and had paid $950.00 for the 3 nights. After the second night the hotel staff informed us at lunch that we had to get out of the room immediately. That we only had 2 nights reserved. The staff was rude and it was not good. As an attorney, we informed the manager that our airplane did not leave until the next morning and we had a contract for the night. We did not leave but had to produce all our paper work from Kayak. We never even received an apology. Poorly handled. Plus we are frequent travelers who now have a bad taste in our mouths. I don't know if this was a Kayak problem or hotel problem, but it was unacceptable.
Pros. Breakfast and perfect location
Cons. Check out was chaotic ..not the Hotel staff, but other ppl hogging the luggage carts. Having to wait over an hour as ppl took to their rooms and and just waited till checkout.
Pros. Nice and clean. I had a hotel with a kitchen and everything you’d need is already there. Quick walk to the beach and right across the street from a market.
Cons. Valet parking only. Also, the floor plan of the hotel itself is REALLY CONFUSING! It was difficult to find my room every time I left and returned. I’d still stay again, but I would make sure to request a room close to the elevators.
