Pros: Very freindly hosts. Room clean and comfortable. the breakfast was very good (with Strawberries and cream) We learned somthig about wine and had a evening wine tasting. We also purchased some to bring home. Would recommend
Pros: The rooms were large and tastefully decorated. We were able to make use of the breakfast room and kitchen during the evening where we ate the dinner we had prepared.
Cons: No restaurants in the village
Pros: Beautiful and spacious rooms. A lovely continental breakfast. Super hosts and their own wine for tasting and sale at good prices. Just fabulous and we totally recommend Domaine du Fief aux Dames. Also we had a lovely dinner at a nearby vineyard restaurant that our hosts recimmended.
Cons: Nothing. It was perfect.
Pros: Beautiful and spacious room, good shower and delicious breakfast. Try the homemade grapejuice (jus de raisin)!
Cons: After a hot day, the room was very warm and did not cool down. There was a fan, but an airco would have been great.
Pros: Although only two of us we had a spacious family room which was excellent. The hosts welocmed us and gave us a wine tasting of the wines they produce along with explanation of why they were different and a quick tour of the press etc. They recommended a restaurant 7 km away Jean D'La Queue which whilst not cheap was a fantastic meal. Obviously came home with some of the wine!
Pros: Everything was fine. Location is perfect for our needs and this was our 3rd time there, so we must like it.
Cons: Nothing that I didn't like.
Pros: Brand new beautifully decorated room - very spacious and super clean. Breakfast had nice croissants and French bread with a delicious butter pound cake served with the best apple juice made by its winery.
Cons: Room was located up a flight of stairs which was unexpected - but totally doable.
Pros: Very friendly owners, who were able to provide tea bags & milk at no extra charge. The bedroom was very spacious with comfortable beds. Would recommend this property to anybody except those with walking difficulties, due to rather steep stairs to our room.
Pros: Everything was ok,

Pros: The breakfast was delicious the shower and bed were excellent
Pros: Very helpful and room very comfortable. Very early breakfast requested on arrival and was supplied no problem.
Pros: Lovely room, comfy bed, pet friendly, nice breakfast x yeah really nice and peaceful would recommend
Cons: No where to go and get a drink or coffee, or even a bite to eat !!!! You eat first before you get there. Or take food to cook as there is a Kitchen there to use in the main house x but still would recommend .
Pros: It was clean and very comfortable with attractive decoration in the room. Very quiet and peaceful rural surroundings. Owners were lovely and very informative. Close to Nantes and pretty town of Clisson is 5 minutes drive away.
Cons: Owners were not there to meet us but texted their return time as soon as we phoned. Breakfast was OK, but only one croissant each. Bread was very stale. Fellow occupiers smoked near our room which was annoying, but not the owners fault.
Pros: Lovely clean and character property with super comfy bed.
Recently constructed in the heart of the city of Clisson, this boutique hotel offers breathtaking views of its medieval castle and the edges of Sevres. At the junction of the Loire-Atlantique, Vendee and Anjou, discover the jewels of the Nantes vineyards in a romantic setting! Housed in the old mill Delaroche, who made the heyday of the local economy in the last century, this new 4-Star hotel, the Best Western Plus Villa Saint Antoine Hotel & Spa, the only establishment of its kind in the country of the Nantes vineyards, creates a chic and elegant air to the Dolce Vita. Certainly romantic with the historic Chateau de Clisson city which stands in the face and edges of the Sevre Nantes that can be enjoyed from the magnificent terrace bar-restaurant. This charming hotel has preserved the architectural design of this Italian city. Enjoy your stay.
Pros: The hotel is in a great location next to the river with a fantastic view of the Castle. Terrace area and pool is perfect for relaxing. Rooms were spacious, modern and stylishly decorated.
Cons: We were unlucky that the air conditioning in our room didn’t function on this particularly hot day. We contacted reception 3 times. It was only when a new staff member arrived after 4 hours and actually came into our room that the problem was resolved, by moving us to another room with functioning air conditioning. We are very grateful. Despite that issue we would definitely recommend the Best Western.
Pros: Beautiful town, great view out over river and castle
Cons: The room was very hot and the air conditioning did not work effectively. The room was spacious but needed a little more decoration or character features
Pros: very helpful reception staff.
Cons: Room 9 far too hot air conditioning not apparently working. Staff not interested when advised in the morning
Pros: Great location, very good breakfast and friendly staff
Cons: Maybe more tea and coffee in the room would be nice
Pros: location and terrace by river
Cons: room was disappointing and so was breakfast.
Pros: Great location, and super nice view of the terrasse. Confort ok and bed nice.
Cons: Bkfast was nice, even the lady a bite rude. Strange to see her taking the croissant directly with her hand while removing the buffet...
Pros: The rooms are spacious. There is a nice pool and the restaurant has a good menu with a lovely atmosphere.
Cons: Nothing really.
Pros: The hotel is near the castle, supermarket and the city centre. The room was very clean, spacious and comfy. The staff was amazing and the parking place was very helpful. Great stay overall!
Pros: Lovely spacious room with balcony. Excellent restaurant dinner. Stunning views from the terrace. A great property in this delightful location
Located in Gétigné, Chambres d'hotes - B&B is on a river, within a 10-minute drive of Fulling Mill of Cugand and Clisson Castle. Featured amenities include multilingual staff and coffee/tea in a common area. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Home made breakfast adds a personal touch to the hospitality!!
Cons: The location is hard to find during late night time
Pros: Silence and surroundings, very friendly host
Cons: no cleaning during the stay, no TV
Pros: The house is situated down an unmade road, but it is worth every bump in that road. It is simple, charming, and set in the most stunning of surrounding, and added to that the hosts are delightful!
Pros: Lovely location and very nice hosts. Lovely breakfast.
Pros: A lovely place with a relaxed sense about it , . Dan , Annie and family were very welcoming and helpful . Loved every moment.
Cons: Location and road to it very bad. No lighting from car park into door. A long walk on uneven ground. Room was ok but some rubbish left in bin in bathroom from previous guest. Had to ask for soap for hand basin. Towels were clean but were coloured old looking and worn and weren't nice and fresh and clean looking. Room and bed was not made up between the 2 nights we stayed. Breakfast was poor. Breads and jam with tea and coffee. Very basic. Tablecloth looked like an old worn sheet on table and was not clean and fresh looking. Very disappointed as only booked because it had got good reviews.

Pros: All went well and it exceeded our expectations. Comfortable bed and excellent breakfast. Anne was the perfect host.
Pros: Breakfast and general facilities were excellent, as was the owner. Friendly and welcoming.

Pros: Great winary! Tasty white wine, totally authentic!
Pros: Nice, clean and comfortable.
Located in Gorges, Château de l'Oiselinière is within a 10-minute drive of Museum of the Nantes vineyard and Clisson Castle. Free self parking is available onsite.
Cons: Nothing it was lovely
Pros: Nice simple breakfast, nice hosts, lovely place, cute huge dog! :D
Pros: The architecture was cool and good breakfast
Cons: The owners are RACIST. I was shouted at, was not allowed to lock my room, but other French customers were able to lock theirs. no help when needed. French customers were treated as royalty. This is a disgrace to be treated like I was. Do not go if you are English as you will be treated very badly. I loved my holiday in France, being treated very courteously by everyone except here.
Pros: Beautiful building and location. Fabulous breakfast and very nice owners.
Pros: The Château is located in a beautiful area.
Cons: All the photos that appear on the booking of the main house are a decoy. Guests do not have access to the main house, all rooms are in a side annex. The rudeness and dislike of the person who is managing this space, the worst experience of my life! Cleaning the bathroom too bad, hair on other people's floors when I entered for the first time. Breakfast time despite being published in the room isn't fulfilled, and is only served when they desire and the schedule changes from day to day. Wifi is free! yes but it doesn't work.
Pros: We had a wonderful, friendly welcome from Isabelle. The rooms were beautifully appointed & comfortable although they are in a side wing not actually in the Chateau. The breakfast in the Orangerie was outstanding.
Cons: We weren’t informed through Booking.com that you can reserve at the Chateau for dinner. However Clisson, a charming medieval town, situated on pretty river 5 mins away with many restaurants.
Pros: Wonderful escape to a bye-gone world. Lovely family, whose advice on vineyards to visit, restaurants, routes - and their own wine, of course - was generously given and of immense value. We have travelled much of the world and stayed in hundreds of hotels: this Chateau would justify a dedicated visit.
Pros: A wonderful peaceful setting where one can hear the birds uninterrupted by the background drone of life which is of architectural and historic interest. I can truly say that the whole of our stay was most enjoyable: breakfast was a delight with a wide and daily varied choice and our most charming and informative hosts. The rooms were large comfortable and well appointed. Not run of the mill, a little quirky but as far as we were concerned all part of the pleasure.
Cons: Nothing - but beware it is a long and bumpy avenue to reach the entrance and no internet.
Pros: Location and accommodation was peaceful.
Cons: We booked and paid for a superior room that was confirmed as having a bath as we do not like showers. There was no bath! The soap in the bathroom was second hand and we felt that the hosts were not bothered as to whether we were comfortable or not. Given the lack of attention to details, although the accommodation was in an historic chateau, the overall impression was of poor value and thus less than we had expected resulting in our disappointment.
Pros: We've a got few kinds of very fresh bread with home made jams. The home-made yogurt and fruit salad were accompanied with nice coffee and tasty tea. Bad and lining as well as toilet accessories were at very high standard. The room was very clean ans warmed specially for us.
Cons: In the morning we've told the owner that hot water was not hot enough. And she apologized and called plumber.
With a stay at Château de la Galissonnière in Le Pallet, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Museum of the Nantes vineyard and Clisson Castle. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Charming cosy and clean. Staff was very polite and friendly; easy going; breakfast was simple but very good quality bread & croissant & juice (only French breakfast).
Cons: No AC in our room so a bit hot at night.
Pros: Bread, croissants fresh Coffee mediocre
Cons: No Kleenex, Shampoo sachets inadequate Sheets
Pros: The setting and buildings were nice
Cons: In comparison to other, nicer places we stayed in locally the standard of accommodation was poor for a similar price
Pros: Beautiful family run Château and vineyard and great location for Clisson, Nante Loire and surrounding areas
Pros: Immaculate modern rooms designed with great flair. Comfortable and quiet. Great choice, once you have found it.....see below.
Cons: Isolated rural location with quadrangle of rooms hidden within the ruins of a medieval castle. Reception locked when we arrived at 1900. No other guests. Only sign with tel # to ring. Manager helpful when arrived; but all rather odd if expecting to stay overnight in a hotel - even abroad.
Pros: Beautiful location, very helpful and friendly staff . Very comfortable.
Located in Aigrefeuille-sur-Maine, Domaine de Violaine Chambre Noémie is in a rural location, within a 15-minute drive of Parc des Rochettes and Clisson Castle. Free self parking is available onsite.

Pros: Very welcoming hosts and comfortable room.
Pros: Comfortable sleeping, first rate continental breakfast with homemade yogurt and preserves. Good coffee. Owners very welcoming and friendly
Pros: Friendly people, free parking Nice breakfast included with bread and preserves.
Cons: Single beds very small Closest restaurant was closed although we had asked beforehand and told it would be open
Pros: Hosts very friendly. Breakfast very good with lovely home made jams & yogurt. Charming room with comfortable bed and good quality bedding.
Pros: Owner was extremely friendly Homemade preserves for breakfast
Cons: Bed very hard, strong smell of drainage in shower room and bedroom also room was freezing. Kettle wouldn’t turn off Breakfast disappointing, no ham, cheese, croissant or fruit etc.
Pros: Lovely room in a family home. The hosts were very welcoming. Breakfast was home made bread ans jams with a creamy home made yoghurt.
Cons: Bed was bit hard for our liking.
Pros: We liked the style of the Chambre d'Hote - lived in, elegant but unfussy - and its general ambience. Our room was delightful with comfy bed and excellent bathroom together with a slice of family history from the early 20th century and decorations to match. There was a friendly attitude towards dogs and somewhere suitable just across the road to walk our own dog. A selection of restaurants was available in Vallet, some 3km away. Added benefit was the availability of the owner’s own wine for sale! The Muscadet from the Chateau is highly recommended!
Pros: Our hosts were exellent. Friendly, welcoming, with a good english. He told us a lot of the castle, offered us taste of wine, show us his winery. The host and his wife were very kind as well as Happy, their dog.
Pros: Lovely chateau in the middle of nowhere, convenient for Vallet where we caught up with friends. Tasty simple breakfast and good night’s sleep.
Pros: So very friendly and welcoming. Will visit again.
Pros: A lovely chateau in calm rural position. The breakfast was good.
Cons: A shame there was no restaurant and we had to drive to find a meal
Pros: Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. The chateau is in a lovely and quiet setting.
Cons: Very run down, scruffy, communal areas dirty

Guest rooms at the Don Quichotte include an LCD TV and a private bathroom. Guests can enjoy a drink on the hotel’s private terrace. Pros: Room was clean, comfortable and convenient with private parking just by the rooms. Shower was good. Breakfast was fine but we also had the evening meal and it was superb!
Cons: The room needed a lick of paint, and perhaps some better lighting but that's all.
Pros: Great location easy walk to town's bars and restaurants
Pros: The breakfast was tasty. I ate a lot of croissants and drank a lot of coffee.
Cons: The infestation of fruit flies that were on the floor, on the wall, on the bed, and the bathroom floor, on the bathroom walls. Also nobody came to clean my room either of the 3 days I was there.
Pros: The hotel is very convenient situated just off the main road that skirts Vallet. This makes it a convenient base for visiting producers in Muscadet Sèvre et Maine. There is plenty of parking for hotel guests. The staff are friendly and the food in the restaurant is of a fair standard.
Cons: Although the bedrooms are quite spacious, the bathroom needs updating – the shower above the bath is on its last legs. The towels are also very thin. The previous night we had stayed at the Première Inn at Saumur. Here the shower was good and the towels good, especially as we paid only 38€ for the room.
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: Some parts tired but everything clean
Pros: Easy access to the room from the car. Good access to the grounds for walking the dog. As an overnight stay it was very good.
Cons: High charges for 2 coffees in the morning.

Pros: Extremely simple check in process (keys left on the door for us), so no waiting time.
Pros: the beds were comfortable and good linen
Cons: I picked an older French hotel rather than a chain because I hoped to find a more personal service and better French cuisine, it was none of these things. The shower room was very poor, the wash basin leaked so the floor was very wet,. and the shower not attached to the wall so not easy to operate and as we were 4 in the family totally impractical wit young children. The food very disappointing.
Pros: I was allowed to check in early and check out late at no extra charge. The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was very pleasant. The food was the best I've ever eaten! Will stay again there next time.
Pros: Friendly staff; good location for our travel. Nice coffee/good breakfast
Cons: room a bit spartan; does a little bar of soap = toiletries provided ?

Pros: Basic breakfast but plenty of it Evening meal reasonably priced
Pros: Location is good.
Cons: My room was very badly maintained with flaking paint and no shower.
Pros: It's close to train station, the market and city center. It's small city so very easy to walk. Good bedroom/bathroom. The breakfast it's simple but good.
Cons: You have to face the stairs, so prepare to take the bags.
Pros: reasonable evening meal
Cons: the staircase and no car park. Attempted to charge for breakfast which we did not have. Major problem getting to hotel because of ROUTE-BARREE. Eventually we went down a No entry street and cut through a pedestrian pathway . French Tourist Board please take note The thing what infuriates tourist most ;be they British, Dutch,Germans,Swiss or East Europeans is those Damn blasted Route Barees. Our trip
Pros: The hôtel is well located in the center of Clisson.
Cons: The hotel is old and need a full revamping. There was a smell from the shower and bathroom due to old pipe and summer time. No a/c. So not fun in summer. Lukely it was not a warm, very hot night this summer. Price is just ok for what you get. It is a basic place, with basic services.
Pros: Location, big room, fair price.
Cons: Staff barely speak english. No AC, no fan.
Pros: For an average price the facilities were very basic and a bit tired. The bed was fine and the sheets were clean and comfortable. The location is good and parking easy.
Cons: Disinterested staff small room and very basic room facilities. Towels were good but one plastic bottle of shower gel and two plastic cups. Breakfast included bread fruit honey and jam. The room was very hot and no fan available.
Pros: Nice breakfast, Good location. Good value for money.
Cons: Some areas looking shabby.
Pros: Always the same
