The sstaff at reception were friendly and help fuland the barman was helpfulwith local information and advice. The novelty of the underground room was the main reason for staing there and it lived up to expectation. The hotel was close to shops. We booked the Desert Cave Tour and it was a highlight of our entire NT and Central Australia trip with a great guide who had excellent local knowledge.
The experience of sleeping in an underground room so very close to the dugout walls was very special and something I have always wanted to do siNce reading about Coober Pedy a long time agoso am glad to have done it now in my old age
location close to restaurants and the rooms were comfortable with all the basic needs catered for. Staff were friendly and helpful and i wish that we had more time to stay than just a night stop off. I was not able to access the shopping due to our early departure....maybe next time
The bathroom walls were not clean
the shower was terrible, and we thought the food in the restaurant was sub standard for the price and the service in the restaurant was terrible. i would not go back, and i certainly would not recommend it to anyone
Novelty of rooms underground
We liked the room and the ambience of the hotel in general. It was very bright and up to date in its decor and displays
Very comfortable room and an excellent dinner restaurant (Umberto's). The in-house museum about opal mining is well done and very informative.
