It's located right next to Central CityRail Station, as well as bus stops, which made for easy trips around the city. Haymarket was within walking distance, too. You could easily hear the noise coming from the hallways, especially from noisy and rude occupants.
great location! no toiletries were provided.
The staff was very friendly and helpful, ready to answer any question. The other guests were fabulous and great to talk to :) The internet service was slower than dial-up. I also didn't like having to pay for a towel ($4 + $10 refundable deposit) or to store my bag for an hour or so ($5).Other than that, everything was great.
The room, the shared toilet and bathroom are very clean. And the bed is very comfortable, big and clean. Even there are enough lockers in the room for all guests. The best backpacker hostel I have seen so far. And the price and location are really good as well. I stayed in a six beds room. It was really hard for me to sleep well, especially there was party in that night. People came in and went out all night long. The door made such noise, including the toilet door.
One of the best hostels you can go. Clean, well organized, big kitchen, awesome roof terrace, fantastic location and still peaceful enough to have a good night.
Good service Perhaps the noise level from the streets
The location is really convenient. Free Wifi is awesome though the speed is a little slow. I hired a towel, but the cleaner just took it away without asking. (I didn't want to change it every day; One day I came back and found the towel was disappered.)
close to the city, staff is very friendly the double-room was way too expensive for the quality provided (no closet, very small room)
Good location 1. Dreadful place, a rundown 2. Downstairs area where you eat & hang out smells of poo/sewage 3. Patronizing & inconsiderate attitude of staff, rude, hostile & intimidating notices everywhere: "Big Brother is watching you - do your dishes, no jokes!" where a polite "Please do your dishes" would do, "If you activate smoke alarm we'll fine you $500 & evict you in the middle of the night" where a simple "No smoking please" would do 4. Overpriced ($90 for a single bedroom, more than in local hotels) 5. Partially empty vending machine, some products expired 6. No guests allowed in rooms 7. Extremely slow Internet connection 8. Very slow elevator 9. Very limited breakfast 10. They will keep your deposit if you don't do the dishes - illegal by law
The ensuite room came with clean towels, floor mat and blankets. Other than the squeky bed, everything else was perfect for the price we paid. The location of hostel is excellent, just 5 mins walk to Paddy's market / Chinatown and 2 mins walk to free shuttle bus stops. The hostel has many security cameras installed, making us feel secured. As mentioned above, our double bed (with a single upper bed) was super squeaky. Any slight movements will create noise.
Location & Price beds were too hard and bunk beds too noisy when anyone moved
the location only for backpackers
Close to central station, China Town, Paddys Markets - great location. Room + accommodation was basic but clean. Think a bit overpriced for what it was - but then it was Sydney City on a Friday night. Lots of city noises to keep you up late, and wake you up early!!!!
Light in our room did not work and noone fixed it during 3 days of us being there. Also, they should not advertise breakfast being included if it consists of toast + jam + butter provided in a filthy kitchenette room.
I liked the location so close to china town darling harbour and the central train and for a fun night out at the clubs it wasn't far to walk either lots of beltway shops close by great spot come and go as you please (as long as you have the keys) The fact when I asked for a latter checkout time they said it was fine until the next morning when I was told to get my stuff together and get out while I was believing that I had a longer time than they implied
Near to all places were I wanted to go and one of the cleanest hostels I have stayed Can't use wifi in the rooms
Centrally located and like the budgie....cheap! Room wasn't too clean, the bedding was a disgrace. Being a stones throw from the cross don't expect too much of a goog nights sleep; lots of passing foot traffic, very loud and very drunk!
The best was price, but according to that there was good ratio of price and quality, so if the price is low so what u can expect from quality, the same low. So the place was good, not far from Harbour and other tourist interest places, but there was a lack of cleanliness.
I booked a twin room, but they gave me a double.
it was in good walkin distance from everything. u pay for what u get its not much...
Friendly staff The beds were useless. Could feel the springs in my back so didn' get much sleep because of that.
Very uncomfortable mattress. Bathroom lights went out from someone using the hairdryer for a whole evening. Internet kept cutting in and out. Apart from that, ok.
Nothing. The place was filthy, and cockroach infested. I checked in paid only to find a huge coachroach crawling around my room. I ended up booking another hotel and moved that night. The website makes false claims of cleanliness and there is definitely no view on the rooftop, except for rodents.
I can make coffee at the top floor ,take my breakfast but the kitchen cookware a bit too old . Bed shed , Towels , Bed room must change every day.
Totally quiet - clean bed to sleep on at a very reasonable price. Mouldy ceiling in the bathroom (may be a health hazard, esp in winter months).
The location, close to the CBD, museums and Botanical Gardens Fluorescent overhead lights and slightly sticky carpets
