Pros: As soon as one arrives you are seated in a lovely patio area or in a lounge and welcomed with a drink, a map with all necessary attractions of where to go which was useful to us and a beautiful room. The staff could not do enough for you, bent over backwards and even enquired as to if we were comfortable with the pillows we had and if not then they had different ones to chose from ! All the staff were so pleasant and friendly but to us it was Mansur who was exceptional and enthralled us with history about the city and knew everything we wished to know. He went over and above what is necessary in a staff member and I have already recomended to my family and friends to stay at the Madinat Hotel as not only was it the best stay ever but it was central in the old Town and the main attractions were all in easy walking distance. Just fantastic overall and I thank them for a wonderful home from home stay. The bathroom was lovely with a powerful shower head and even little bottles of hair conditioner as well as shampoo of course. Adena and Brian

Pros: We really liked the charm of the hotel. The staff was very kind with us and very accommodating (we arrived before checking and could still have the room), moreover we got upgraded to a bigger room without asking. The hotel is perfectly located 400m from the Mezquita and there is a public parking very nearby (3min walk) - La Ribera Parking.

Pros: From the moment we arrived it felt as if on a retreat. This is a boutique hotel that focuses on personal service. The accommodation, although slightly small, appeals to all your senses. The clean and well appointed room, a fresh aroma and quite hotel, as well as a nice breakfast (extra charge) made for a memorable experience. Pros: It is very well located and consists of 4 previous homes all put together as a very unique facility. We were there off season so we did not use the pool but it looks refreshing. The staff is enormously helpful and kind. The area is replete with excellent restaurants. The flamenco show recommended by the hotel was nothing less than spectacular— and they secure the tickets for you. The room we were in was not enormous but delightfully well appointed. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was small but well appointed and extremely clean. The breakfast was excellent and the ‘honor bar’ was a wonderful addition to the day. We were in Córdoba only a day and night but would travel back again anytime. A great area. The hotel has many sitting area with fountains and abundant greenery. Very relaxing.

It is located in a quiet plaza and has an underground parking garage. The interior patio was charming to sit and have a drink when we returned in the evening. The Nespresso machine was a pleasant surprise to the room, which we took advantage of. The decor is standard and lacks the charm of a boutique hotel, but the hotel is clean, comfortable, and offers good service.

The guy who received us was super friendly (if I can recall his name was Jorge). Bread, cheese, ham, cereal, etc, Nothing special but also nicely organized. Staff: apart from Jorge, we got to know Veronica. It was a pleasure meeting her. She has been of the most friendly persons I´ve ever found in a hotel. She was not only nice but professional. This kind of persons makes you want to go back again since they make you feel at home. Location: great location. You can walk from the hotel to every place in the city. Tip: for a late bite, try the restaurants at the Mercado Victoria.

Cons: The bad doors. This is a general problem I have with every hotel that has them. I understand they try to make things look modern and beautiful (and that they do not cost that much) but architects and hotel owners should understand glass doors are too uncomfortable for guests. Even when you do not see inside, the simple idea of a glass door takes away privacy.

Cons: The window or glass wall is not sound proof and the hotel is right on the highway, worst 5 star hotel stay ever, 4th floor room facing the clinic has a lot of traffic and sirens noise, requested to be changed to another quiet room, and was placed on the opposite side, less noisy but still could hear all the highway noise and the bathroom was not vented and had sewer smells coming from the toilet, the staff came to check and moved us to another room that was facing the same side of the highway and was the only available, on the 5th floor, still loud, and the bathtub was dirty, worst value for the money at this place. We didnt get any rest at night. Mediocre room wall paper was peeling in the first room and the layout is an entry through the bathroom. The mattress was uncomfortable and the pillows were cheap quality.

Cons: We paid same price for hotel on booking.com as with website direct. Website direct offered free breakfast and guaranteed 10% if price was cheaper anywhere else. I think our breakfast should hv been included like offered on direct website. The breakfast was beautiful and just right amount but disappointed I had to pay, when others did not simply because I use booking.com. We asked to be comp'd our breakfast but staff in friendly smile, kindly said not possible. Make this a standard practice to give to all and this will allow all guests to be fully satisfied. 100% guaranteed, better than any 10% price guarantee. Our stay was almost perfect, except for this minor detail. Just for thoughts.

Rooms are much smaller than expected for a pricey 4 star hotel. The bathrooms are linked in a garish dark green marble with a glass sink and counter. Just seemed very old school.
The bed was not comfortable. But this is very subjective.
The location as was mentioned in several other reviews is questionable. It was 30-45 minute walk to the main tourist sites. That was fine with us since it gives us a chance to explore.

Pros: There is large and free car park. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. The hotel is not situated in the center, but the walk is around 20 mins and with a nice view. It is easily reachable without driving in narrow streets. It was generally clean.

Pros: The hotel location is a good compromise: it has the advantages of an out-of-town hotel (free parking, quiet neighborhood), but it is just 20 minutes walking from the historical centre. Interiors are basic but with a few lovely details (I liked a lot the cotto and glazed tile floor in our room). Excellent breakfast buffet. Last but not least, the lady at the reception desk was very kind and helpful. Very good value for price.

Cons: Just something to have in mind when booking: the hotel is located at a 20 minute walk from the old City. Nothing to be worried about. Breakfast could have other choices of egg besides boiled and fresh orange juice would be also nice.

Pros: There is large and free car park. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. The hotel is not situated in the center, but the walk is around 20 mins and with a nice view. It is easily reachable without driving in narrow streets. It was generally clean.
Cons: The room was quite a bit older than the photos. The bed was quite bad, it was an old spring bed. It was cold when we arrived, warmed up quite late. The shower had an open spot in the bottom which dripped directly outside so the bathroom was nearly flooded. Shower heads were problematic and didn't turn off.
