Pros: Probably just about everything! It’s a beautiful house, we had a lovely room overlooking the pool. Lots of very thoughtful things were provided like their own brand toiletries and a hospitality tray in our room. The owners were extremely welcoming, and very informative on things to do and see in the surrounding area. The breakfast was lovely every morning. There were lots of friendly touches, Lauren baked a cake every day and you could just help yourself. There was a beer and wine fridge - a nice touch!
Cons: Absolutely nothing. It was a delight to stay there.

Pros: Pascal and Laurence were such wonderful hosts.... breakfast was delicious each morning and there was a freshly baked cake or tart for us to eat whenever we wanted. The honesty bar was very useful too! The beds and linen were very luxurious and it could not be in a better location!
Cons: Only because we were asked for one - Our only very slight negative was that our room was quite dark - only because it’s at street level at the front of the property so the shutters and curtains needed to be partly closed- but the other three rooms don’t have this problem

Pros: Nice breakfast. Spacious accommodations. Great hosts.
Cons: Bathroom didn’t have a sink. Had to walk across the apartment to the shower room to wash hands

Cons: There is almost nothing to criticize but maybe two things: The coffee could be heavily improved:-) and it would be great to have a bathrobe.

The farm is close to Bergerac for a great meal but far away enough to feel like you have escaped. All in all am excellent experience.
Cons: Nothing. It was spot on.

Cons: The staff was not very accommodating. We arrived at 3:00 from a long journey and requested something to eat. We were told that there was nothing available but we could travel the 15 minutes to Bergerac and perhaps find aa open patisserie. With a restaurant on the premises, it was difficult to understand that there was absolutely no food available. I again explained that we were tired and hungry and asked if there was at least a cheese plate. Again, I was told “no”. I asked if there were some crackers and he said that he would look. We were given a small bowl of what would be described as bar nuts, crackers and 2 glasses of questionable wine. We ate one evening at the restaurant which is very attractive but the food was not good. Deliberate and visually appealing presentation but truly not tasteful. Staff was very formal and rigid. When we went to check out, no one was to be found. We won’t return.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Gorgeous grounds and wonderful vistas of the area. Excellent, innovative foods at dinner in the Restaurant.
Cons: The only drawback (and by no means a deal-breaker) is the narrow and challenging road that leads to the property. We could not imagine driving it after dark, but, happily, we didn't need to. Do arrive during daylight to dine and sleep there!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: beautiful location, stunning building and we were given a quick tour. The room was lovely Dinner was exceptional in a beautiful setting with views over the countryside
Cons: nothing

Pros: La Chartreuse was amazing. It shared a beautiful hilltop with row’s and rows of plum trees. The house was phenomenal, the pool was sparkling, but the best surprise was the restaurant. It was really elegant and the food was fantastic.

Pros: Our hosts were extremely charming however the star of the show was Jason their wonderful black labradour. They are aware that some people are not keen on dogs so we had to sneak him out when we could. The Chateau is quirky, interesting and contains amazing pieces of furniture and ornaments. After 4 days we were still noticing new objects. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to recommended it.
Cons: A little awkward to find initially as it is in a small one way system.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our room and bathroom were beautiful. The property and grounds are very elegant. The owners are welcoming, charming and helpful. Don't be put off by the high security deposit in the policies section as actually it only applies to the two bedroom house. We were not asked to pay a security deposit. We loved everything about this property. It was a delightful base for exploring the Dordogne region and we would definitely stay here again.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: It was superior to the average B&B and would be better described as an art gallery with rooms! The breakfast was adequate but with no offer of anything cooked.
Cons: The facility for hanging clothing was extremely limited; it was a very small rail with hangers and no wardrobe. In the bathroom, there was an elegant tissue holder but with no tissues! Making the bed daily was a DIY, which for the price paid should have been done by staff; the room was cleaned once in five days. Catherine could not have been more pleasant or helpful and made several restaurant recommendations and reservations, all of which were delightful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Catherine and Gerard were excellent hosts so welcoming and helpful The property is superb each room decorated with beautiful art from around the world The location is excellent overlooking the Dordogne Catherine helped book restaurants for us - all excellent She helped us hire bicycles Breakfast each morning was delicious We highly recommend La Rebiere D’Or for a stay and hope to return soon Staying there made our holiday very special Will and Jean Cornwall
Cons: Leaving it !!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely classic French riverside manor house. Large room and modern bathroom. Whole property is furnished with somewhat unusual antiques. Hostess was helpful with booking restaurants etc. Good continental breakfast.
Cons: We would have appreciated knowing that there were no indoor spaces for guests to use, except for their rooms. And no eating was permitted in rooms or at their outdoor tables. This policy differed from our experience elsewhere in France and other European countries where we travel. It made our stay somewhat awkward, and less enjoyable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room size was above average and overlooking lovely river Feels like staying in a Stately Home Very hospitable owner Good and quiet location Highly recommended
Cons: No air condition
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Truly amazing, and occasionally bizarre, decoration and furniture in grand surroundings overlooking the Dordogne river. Totally unique. Big pool and fabulous breakfast. Excellent dinner in nearby Chateau Les Merles.
Cons: The first room we were shown (the Monkey/Singe Room), which smelled of stragnant water from the river. But were moved with a problem to another room, which was beautifully and artistically decorated. Nothing at all in the village itself, except for an English-owned sports bar. Had to drive for dinner to Bergerac or nearby Chateau Les Merles (thoroughly recommended).

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful hosts welcomed us to their beautiful fascinating historic house. Delicious breakfast each morning with local produce. And the attention if you wish of their delightful little dogs,
Cons: Had no problems at all.
7.5 Good
Pros: Location was very good as was the breakfast. Very characterful.
Cons: The room on the second floor, whilst very nice, had cross beams to manoeuvre and the ensuite does not have a door, only a curtain.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: B&B in an ancient building, wonderfully-located in the historic center of Bergerac. Bergerac is a lovely medieval town, easy to walk around. The house is full of wood beams, creaky floors and tons of charm. The staircase to the rooms and the room we had in the attic (which I found charming) is unsuitable for anyone with mobility issues. Simple continental breakfast (croissants, bread and jams, yogurt) was ok. Get a reservation for dinner at Le Quatre Vins before arriving. It’s a small place a short walk from the B&B with very good, reasonably-priced meals.
Cons: Be aware you have to pay for parking and that the place is difficult to drive to because of on-way or pedestrian streets the GPS will try to route you through. But you’ll find it you persist.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hosts were fabulous, property was amazing and quirky. Option of secure parking was really helpful.
Cons: Nothing

4.0 Okay
Pros: Excellent location for the city centre, just a short walk across the Ancien Pont to the old town area and lots of restaurants.
Cons: smelly toilet. very badly lit bathroom (light over sink didn't work), there was no mini-bar in the room, just an empty fridge which was switched off, curtains didn't black out light, shower in bathroom gushed out boiling hot water if you didn't take care. Room was not ready for our arrival, had to wait. Not a decent chair in the bedroom. Parking difficult, in a small cu l de sac outside the property. When we got down to our car in the morning, someone from nearby, someone from the neighbourhood had parked their car right across ours so we could not move out. Luckily, she came out to her car and moved it, but it was very worrying! Raphael promised us breakfast at 8.30 am, but it never appeared. We searched upstairs and downstairs at the property but he was nowhere to be found, tried him on his mbile, but it just went to voicemail. We had an appointment outside Bergerac (an hour's drive away) and just had to leave the hotel, unable to wait to see Raphael. He did call us eventually, but we had already left the hotel and were on our way to the rendezvous. Very disappointed. Would never stay here again!
5.0 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was good
Cons: There were no Locks on the bedroom door in a communal corridor. It was very noisy as they ran a restaurant & bar directly underneath the bedroom, this wasn’t clear at the time of booking. No air con. Directly next door to church, so lots of bell ringing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful house, tastefully decorated, great hosts and perfect location on the river in Bergerac!
6.7 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Sharing bathroom and toilet If you pay €120, that is too much
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Quirky, laid back, very welcoming. Lovely staff who are super helpful. Great location. Restaurant on site which unfortunately was in the middle of menu change when we stayed so was offering a limited menu so we didn’t get the chance to experience Raphael’s food which, given his flair and attention to detail, I imagine is worth trying.
Cons: Nothing at all but imagine it might not be to everybody’s tastes - has quite a young laid back arty hipster type vibe which some ( more stuffy types maybe ? ) might not be keen on.
6.3 Good
Pros: Best intentions of staff and charming enough. Location also nice.
Cons: Poor view from room we had. Mattress too hard. No lock on door of room... But most of all noisy. Woke up from noises in house several times and church bells tolling very near by. Not for light sleepers!!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Amazingly quirky B&B run by a super friendly young team of artists. Lovely old furniture has been collected to set the place off in its best light, and the room was very comfortable, large and with a river view. Breakfast was lovely and copious.
Cons: The loo ! painted in very dark colours and with a fiendish lock - my wife almost couldn't get out and the owner had to come and explain that it turns the "wrong" way ! Much hilarity ensued.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was beautiful - right on the river - our stay was only very brief but Raphael and his team could not have been more helpful especially when we were having difficulties booking onward rail travel. Raphael's attention to detail in all respects makes for a charming boutique experience. Would definitely recommend.
Cons: The weather was a little cooler than expected and although another blanket was supplied it turned out to be a little less than we needed - only a minor detail.
