Pros: Location is great, many restaurants near by. Beautiful hotel!
Cons: No fan in the bathroom and our maid didn't replace shampoo and conditioner.
Pros: Stayed here after a long day of driving and unloading boxes.
- Room was clean, wifi worked. (which is a lot more than can be said for most places, so I'll give them that)
- Free Parking
Cons: - Heater had an obnoxiously loud plastic on plastic vibration.
- From this room on the 3rd floor pointing west over the roof, there was a persistently loud humming noise.
- Linens smelled a bit too strong of bleach or something similar.
- 2 out of 3 parking spaces have a post occupying part of the space, generally right where a car door would open.
I did not sleep well. Generally not a bad place but I would expect just a bit more for the price.
Pros: Very nice decor. Location great..
Cons: Noisy, I could hear the guest upstairs walking around. Also could hear a squeaky bed. Did not sleep well

Pros: The staff was very friendly and the rooms were large and clean
Pros: This hotel is wonderful! From checking in to checking out, John and staff were amazing! The fresh baked cookies were a hit with my toddlers and the rooms were very nice and the beds comfy!
Pros: The room was beautiful, and the staff was so helpful especially Beth, but John was also very helpful.
Pros: The place was under construction when we got there, but you couldn't tell. Property was well kept, rooms were roomy & clean. Bed was comfortable. I really liked the double vanity areas, it helped getting ready with a teenager in the room.
Cons: The walk from the elevator to the room. It was quite a trek from the elevator to the room.
Pros: Location was close to I-5 and easy to find. Breakfast served was better than most for the price.
Cons: Room renovation in progress. Could have chosen a better time to complete
Pros: Pool and spa were nice. Clean. Breakfast was good. Nice rooms.
Pros: Very quiet facility, great staff, welcoming lobby decorated for Fall
Pros: Room was very clean, I prefer shampoo in little bottles than in a dispenser hanging in the shower, at a price of $180. 00 a night , it would be nice to have that luxury in the bath.
Cons: small towels

Cons: The room was very smelly. We asked for a different room, which did not go over well with the staff. The new room they gave us was even worse- it smelled like musty BO. We decided to go with the first room and air it out all day while we were gone.
Pros: It was a relaxing and pleasant experience. What may sounds funny, but I really enjoyed the lemon water in the lobby. It hot the spot!
Cons: No. But it would have been nice to have the lemon water out all of the time.
Pros: The staff were exceptional! Breakfast was fantastic and the bed was very comfortable! Thank you for your hospitality. We will be back.
Cons: We had a lot of trouble with our room key. They had to reprogram it several times but other than that, everything was great.

Pros: we have before always friendly staff the staff this time were amazing

Clean good value
Pros: Clean,close to freeway
Cons: Hostess at check in rude over debit card use. Obviously hasn't heard customer is always right even when they are not. One old treadmill and elliptical in fitness room.
Pros: Great prices, easy to find
Cons: bad coffee maker machine at breakfast...even worse was the coffee
We had a nice room, on the lower floor, close to the pool and breakfast. It was spacious and we easily fit 6 people. The pool was nice and quiet in the evening and the TV had good color.
Pros: The pool area was REALLY nice. The room was good sized and we slept 6 people in one room comfortably. Breakfast was good as well.
Cons: I called the hotel after thinking I had left something there and was told they would call me back the next day and I never got a call. Went out to the lobby around 2am to get a drink and it smelled like someone was smoking pot behind the front desk.
Pros: Close to the coast if you don't want to pay $---+ per night . The restaurant next door is awesome Newport seafood. Amazing food . Amazing service
Cons: Towels weren't clean still dirty from last person!! Obviously not bleached ewwww! Grossed me out . Hallways of hotel need to be vacuumed still dirty from evening til next day. Don't get a room next to ice machine noisy all night
Both nights we stayed they were out of extra blankets, not everyone was able to sleep warm enough.
Pros: Great location, nice pool and hot tub.
Cons: The breakfast was good, but not great. We expected a little better quality of food.

Pros: spacious clean rooms with comfortable beds and large windows. Staff was super friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. Especially the lady in the breakfast room. Jacuzzi was really relaxing after a hectic day.
Cons: There are no gluten free, dairy free options in the breakfast room.
Pros: Full breakfast with biscuits and gravy, waffles, freshly baked cinnamon rolls, and more with a lovely woman woman who was there to clear our plates and ask if we needed anything else.
Cons: Loud thumping from the room above us and lots of smoke in the hallway which came in our door despite having a non-smoking room.
Pros: Big bathroom, King sized bed, non-smoking
Cons: A bit noisy, some minor repairs needed in the room
Pros: Breakfast was good. I'm sure it will be nicer after renovation.
Cons: It was farther off the freeway than I thought it would be. The hotel was older and under renovation. I tend to stay away from hotels during renovations because of noise and inconvenience. There wasn't any noise, but the hallway to the lobby bathroom was dark and not carpeted. Overall, just okay.
Pros: The staff was friendly.
Cons: The pictures of the hotel are not even the pictures of the location in Salem. It is very run down and I need of renovation. The breakfast was horrible... McDonalds serves better breakfast to be honest. The rooms were clean but every thing smelled musky and the whole hotel is very outdated. For the price, I was very disappointed. Save your money and stay at a hotel 8... Basically the same thing.
Pros: Breakfast was great
Cons: Overpriced and outdated
Pros: Location worked for my purposes.
Cons: Disgusting breakfast room carpet.
Pros: Big room. Clean. Great Price.
Cons: Two of us had to fight over the single down pillow. Other pillows weren't all the great.
A great choice for a stay in Salem, Phoenix Inn Suites South Salem is just 2.5 mi (4 km) from the airport. For a bit of exercise, you can visit the fitness center or go for a swim in the indoor pool. Rooms feature conveniences like refrigerators and microwaves.
Cons: The room was very dated and in a bad part of town. Next to a strip club. There were a lot of homeless and druggies.
Pros: We liked how close it was to I5
Cons: Area around the hotel. Homeless people everywhere around the building. Very loud outside. A/C was broken and room was very warm

Cons: The walls were paper thin. Their were channels on the TV that were not accessible. The blankets were thinner than a towel. The carpets were stained and damp. They were renovating the hotel ( not our room)! While drilling or hammering the wall lamps in our room would vibrate and shake as though there was an earthquake. This went on for hours. The front desk staff needed a few classes on good customer service.
Pros: Incredibly clean. Friendly staff. Great breakfast. Awesome value. First time a hotel actually made me want to find a reason to come back.
Pros: wonderful staff
Pros: This was a great place to stay for my sister and my visit with family in the Salem area. Clean, nice breakfast, friendly staff. I would definitely stay here again.
Pros: The amenities were all I had hoped. Clean quiet room, helpful staff. Great access location.
Pros: Very fast check in time. Staff was friendly and helpfull. Great breakfast, one of the best at a hotel. Pool was clean but a little on the chilly side.
Cons: Pool temp

Cons: Only decaf coffee supplied in room
No lotion in room
Pros: Everything was clean, rooms were great. Well kept.
Cons: Shares a driveway with the shipping drive of costco. Difficult to get in and out with traffic.
Pros: Very friendly and welcoming staff. Much better than average continental breakfast.
Cons: Parking lot tight and filled up.
Pros: Staff was eager to help when asked for additional supplies
Cons: - The janitor staff, speaks Spanish, didn't understand our request for room service - When we asked the front desk, the janitor staff left the premises and hence we were without a a room service for rest of our stay
- As room service was missed, we requested fresh towels. We were asked to pick up the towels from front desk. I feel that things like towels should be delivered by the staff.
Pros: Room was clean enough; breakfast was fair
Cons: Room was a little squished; shower curtain wouldn't close; took about 5 minutes to get hot water in sink
Pros: Location, price, very friendly staff, good breakfast buffet, very good and fast WiFi.
Cons: The pillows! Don't know where hotels buy those pillows that offer no support, and seemingly have no interior structure at all. Soon as your head hits one, all the filling migrates away from your head. This hotel isn't alone in this, but it was the only down note in our stay.
Pros: People and staff are very nice - easy to get to and close to downtown (10 minutes?). Nice and quiet for the most part - room was fine. A bit dated...
Cons: Gym VERY old - almost worthless! Missing pieces and parts. Pool very small
Pros: The Breakfast bar
Cons: The keycards didn't work, we had a hard time getting checked in because we paid online and the rooms where very small!!
Pros: The jetted tub and hot breakfast.
Cons: The toilet all of a sudden not working at 2 am. No plunger, called for one. Plunged toilet with no help from staff to no avail. Still would not flush even water. Told front desk who said they would "have maintenance look at it after we left". Great help for us who had to put up with it. Frustrating to not even hear an apology. I will think twice about staying at a la Quinta hotel again.
Pros: Breakfast was better then I was expecting.
Cons: I prefer hotels that have hot tubs at least in the pool area, and the trucks coming and going from Costco next door wake you up very early every morning.
Pros: Bed comfy, room dark,
Cons: Noisy fridge, took 4 sets of keys to get one to work, door latched from inside, scary...
Pros: The rooms were nice, comfortable, and clean.
Cons: The fitness center was in poor condition and out of date.

Pros: Good location, near the freeway and yet not real noisy. near restaurants. the front desk staff when checking in was very good. the room was clean.
Cons: breakfast could definitely be better. the front desk lady could have been friendlier, when i asked for an extension of stay by an hour. she was not impolite but curt. compared to other similar hotels in the same area, this is more expensive.

Pros: I liked the location. We all grew up in Independence/Monmouth so the Courtesy Innhas always been the only place to stay. The location is great and within walking distance to j's and Dutch Bros Coffee among many other eateries and establishments.
Cons: It looked dirty. The vents were dirty, there were dried pee spots on the bathroom floor, hairs in the bathtub before anyone of us had used the facilities. We did check for bedbugs but didn't find evidence. Blankets on the bed were minimal and we had to ask for more. The towels were small and even though we had a reservation for 4 people in one rom, the room was still only set up with 3 sets of towels. The check in area was a small office that was attached to what seemed to be a room that the front desk woman lives in with her dogs. Checking in, I almost liked because it smelled like dog urine.
Pros: -Great value
-Friendly and courteous staff
-Convenient Location several food options nearby within 3 minute walk.
Overall the motel is a great value a solid 3 star location with friendly and helpful staff with clean rooms, comfortable beds.
Cons: Facilities are a little dated
Wifi is unreliable at best
Lack of outlets to charge electronics
We had an issue with Wifi but manager switched our room and seemed to work better.
Courtesy Inn Monmouth is a great choice for a stay in Monmouth. Free perks include WiFi and self parking. Rooms feature conveniences like refrigerators and microwaves.
Pros: -Free breakfast
-medium small bathroom
Cons: -I can hear every neighbor
-Front desk staff worried more about the telephone guests, than the large line I stood in for 30+ minutes just to check in
-Parking lot has a ton of potholes, small parking, mostly always full
Pros: I made a good choice and it was very comfortable.
Pros: friendly and helpful staff
Pros: The breakfast included with the room was nice. The food was decent.
Location was good.
Cons: The wall in the bathroom next to the toilet seemed dirty. (splattered looking) ICK!!!!!
It was difficult to control the temperature in the room.
It was hard to get out onto Market St. at certain times of day.
Pros: Location was convenient...
Cons: The workout room needs help.. The elyptical didn't work and recumbent bike needs work...
The pool was horribly neglected...
The other guests were loud all hours of the night and the room needs updating..
The last day housekeeping left towels but didn't even bother to make the bed...
Pros: Staff wasn't forthcoming with information. We found out from other guests the shuttle wasn't working. We were placed on the fourth floor when we had a dog (pets are supposed to be on the second floor) then were questioned by multiple staff about being put on the top floor.
Cons: There was some type of alarm going off while we were trying to sleep for over an hour before we got moved to another room on the other side of the hotel. Wel all decided we probably wouldn't stay here again.
Pros: Jim the bartender!
Cons: I have a long list of things I didn't like! It was old and not well kept. It smelled like cigarettes although it was non-smoking. the headboard nailed to the wall was made of old, worn table legs turned upside down! I should've taken a pic! The room was shockingly small. My husband's bagel was moldy the next morning! We still might go back and visit Jim!
Pros: the staff
Cons: just old, dirty, tired, ugly
Pros: Voucher system was nice.
Cons: TV remote didn't work. Limited channel choices. Acoustics both in and out were not the best; laminant at entry carries hallway noise inside and the walls aren't sound walls. There were soft spots in the floor assembly.
Pros: Wonderful staff. Sasha was very friendly and helpful when we arrived and Kyle was wonderful in helping us get around. I really appreciate all they did for us. The room was nice and clean and well stocked. Thank you for making our visit to Salem very comfortable.
Cons: Can't think of anything.
A great choice for a stay in Salem, Red Lion Hotel Salem is just 4.6 mi (7.4 km) from the airport. Guests can take a dip in the indoor pool or grab a bite to eat at Willamette Valley Grill, which serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. A bar/lounge and a fitness center are offered, and in-room conveniences include refrigerators and microwaves.
Cons: Fire alarm at 1am, with no communication from staff during the entire event.
Pros: Great location off the free way. Beds are cozy. We love the spacious rooms the Shilo locations provide.
Cons: Desperate need of remodel. Bed blankets very worn.
Pros: It was halfway to my destination and just needed a place to stay. The room was large but needed updating.
Pros: Not too much.
Cons: Elevator is in serious need of repair. Guests were standing waiting for elevator for several minutes, getting very agitated considering there's only 4 floors in this hotel.
Hot tub was broken...
Air conditioning in my room was broken first night.
Pros: Great size roomy
Cons: Elevator had landing problems. Room not cleaned
Pros: The size of room and the cleanliness.
Cons: Did not get the room I reserved.
Pros: The desk staff were friendly when we rolled in after midnight and quickly got us to our room.
Cons: There were holes in the upholstered furniture and in the sheets. 3 towels and two washclothes even though we were booked for 4 occupants. Beds were uncomfortable.
Pros: A friend and I just needed to book a room nearby to have a girls night, rooms were clean enough and the whole place was pretty quiet. Awesome for what we needed it for :)
Cons: The facility itself was kind of dingy, faint smell of cigarettes everywhere EXCEPT the room itself. The pool/spa also seemed kind of dirty.
Pros: I liked that when we got there we were able to get an early check in. The people were friendly and helpful. The bed was super comfortable! Although the hotel is older and has an old style to it, I found it very comfortable and it met all my needs including free Wi-Fi. Very happy with what I got for such a low price!
Pros: The staff were pleasant. The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was adequit.
Pros: Layout, location, price, value
A great choice for a stay in Salem, Shilo Inn Suites - Salem is just 4.7 mi (7.6 km) from the airport. Guests can get a morning swim in at the indoor pool, and the spa tub makes for a relaxing end to the day. A fitness center and a sauna are offered, and rooms have conveniences like refrigerators and microwaves.
Cons: The hotel room was filthy. My bedskirt had feces on it, cigarette hole in the bed spread (non smoking room), walls were paper thin, I could hear everything my neighbors did. :( There was actually a washcloth placed behind the headboard, I assume for soundproofing? Believe me, it didn't work with my neighbors. You heard the entire thing. I checked out and found another hotel in the area.
Pros: The bed was very comfortable and it was acceptably clean.
Cons: The overall experience was tolerable but the facility is very aged. The experience seemed unorganized when we were checking in with our dog.
Pros: Breakfast every morning
Cons: Breakfast was very early
Pros: Staff was very friendly. The bed itself was comfortable. Pretty cheap so I wasn't expecting much. Free breakfast was a plus.
Cons: Pillows were very uncomfortable. They were so fluffy that my neck was tweaked. Couldn't sleep well because of that. The walls were thin so I could hear everybody who walked by, every door slam, and the loud garbage truck come through at 5 in the morning. Was hoping to get a good nights sleep but couldn't do that with all of the noise and the terrible pillows.
Pros: Need I say more. Prison like atmosphere blended with rancid grease odors. Happy to escape.
Pros: Loved the location--close to downtown and the 5. I have stayed here every time that I have come to Salem.
Cons: I would suggest booking online via Kayak or Expedia rather than go by the rates that are told you upon arrival. The rates tend to be a few dollars higher if you go in person.
Pros: Not too much I liked, bad service
Cons: I requested two additional pillows, was told: We don't have any pillows!!
This answer is not acceptable, especial if you have a disabled wife. And a very noise hotel.
You hear all footsteps upstairs and next door. Please stay away from this place! A few blocks dows the street
are enough and better hotels. Whit a NAME Windham after the hotel name, what a disappointment!! Never visit this place again.
Pros: Speedy check in. Room service was great.
Pros: Straight forward hotel room

Pros: Incredibly friendly staff. Facilities were as expected for motel 6 and a small town. Free wifi was most welcome. .
Cons: Neither bedside lamp was in working condition. Room looked like no one had used it in a while.
Pros: Friendly staff. Extremely rapid check-in and check-out. Spacious room. AC worked very well. Free coffee on check-out.
Cons: Very outdated fixtures and appliances. Leaky faucet. Small shower. No shampoo or conditioner in room. No continental breakfast.
Pros: it was convenient, comfortable, basic amenities. just right. not over the top and not even near the bottom. simple, inexpensive and quiet. most enjoyable for our purpose. THANK YOU!
Cons: nothing to say here. everything was just fine.
Pros: The room and bathroom were actually petty spacious
Cons: Staff was rude. No coffee. Ice machine wasn't working. Staff was just rude. It's like they didn't want me there.
Cons: Pretty much everything
Pros: I was told this was a 3 star hotel. This was the scariest drive up motel I have ever stayed at. There is no way this location was 3 stars. It looks like what I can imagine a prison cell looks like. Everything was old and dirty. I was too afraid to take a shower or sit on the bed. I called booking.com and they did nothing to help me. I was too afraid to stay at this hotel, especially since the chain lock had been ripped off, I ended up leaving and paying for another hotel in the middle of the night because I was afraid the furniture that I stacked against the door would not help me
Pros: Decent rooms, nice to have microwave and little fridge. Hospitable and reasonable. Close to where I needed to work.
Cons: Pool wasn't open, only one bed. Comfortable but not as big nor as comfortable as being at home.

Cons: The staff was rude! The facility was nothing like the Internet pictures made it seem to be. The water in the shower was brown. Room had a funny smell. Not a secure feeling to the place at all. We left as soon as possible the next morning!

Cons: The old furniture, not having furnitire, no phone
Pros: The price is fair I had a refrigerator in the room microwave table place to sit on a computer
Cons: The room had a Vermin problem mice kept me awake all night there was feces on my phone and on the table when I woke up I probably won't stay there again because of that
Pros: They had rooms available. Now I know why.
Cons: Weekly renters were partying in room nearby. Very loud and rowdy. Room only had one dim light on the ceiling that didn't give enough light to read and one small bed. Smoke detector didn't work. The bathroom is barely big enough to turn in and the tile is cracked and all broken up. Behind toilet there was a hole in the floor. It had an old analog television that didn't work with the remote and only 4 or 5 actual channels. They didn't offer a password for wifi and had no coffee in the room nor lobby.
For the price I could have enjoyed a nicer place.
It looks good in the pictures but it is not even close.
Bad part of town too.
Pros: It was close to my place of business. The water pressure and showerhead were strong.
Cons: It didn't have a deadbolt on the door. There were ants in the bathroom and a few elsewhere. There were cigarette holes in the bedsheets and floor. There were stains on the floor. Paint was crumbling everywhere. The bathroom window was broken.
When visiting Salem, TRAVELERS INN MOTEL is a great choice to consider. Free perks include WiFi and self parking. Rooms feature conveniences like refrigerators and microwaves.
Pros: The 2 staff members I encountered were very nice & helpful. Our room was average but clean. Centrally located amongst many places to eat & stores & was close to the freeway. The picture of our bed was surprisingly beautiful.
Cons: Our refrigerator was ridiculously noisy. There isn't an elevator.
Pros: It was very close to the I-5 which was good because we had been driving all day & needed a place to sleep.
Cons: It was SO close to the freeway that our much needed rest was hard come by ... Lots of traffic! Also, the room smelled intensely of cleaning products (which I suppose is better than it being dirty, if only slightly) & we had to keep the window open for the first 1/2 hour in order to be able to breathe in there.
