Pros. We got a mini-suite and it was perfect for our family, giving us a little extra room to spread out. It was great having a fridge, two TV's etc., in the room. The rooms were indeed clean and comfortable, and the price was right, so that was good.
Cons. The hotel advertises as being recently remodeled, but it still felt fairly old. The breakfast was fairly minimal (Biscuits and Gravy, both were cold) and some pretty poor coffee (I'm not a coffee connoisseur, but I heard several complaints about it). They had a pancake machine that was broken, and a toaster that had half of it broken. The pool and hot tub were nice enough. The sauna worked, but the steam room appeared to be out of service.
Pros. The room/bathroom was very nice, very clean and pleasant. Staff accommodating.
Cons. The continental breakfast was very limited w/ only 3 tables for seating- right in the pathway of the elevator/lobby. Very uncomfortable. The elevator was old and slow. Lobby outdated and really showing wear - not a great first impression.
Pros. The staff went above to give us a great experience.
Cons. There was a bus full of kids staying at the hotel. They left early and obviously ate breakfast before they left. Not much left for the continental breakfast.
Cons. Checking in around 11pm, we were given keys to our room - which just happened to be occupied by someone else. Unfortunately the occupants did not have their deadbolt on - awkward. Other than that it was great!
Pros. Free breakfast
Cons. Fire alarm at 1am, with no communication from staff during the entire event.
Pros. Great location off the free way. Beds are cozy. We love the spacious rooms the Shilo locations provide.
Cons. Desperate need of remodel. Bed blankets very worn.
Pros. It was halfway to my destination and just needed a place to stay. The room was large but needed updating.
Cons. Elevator is in serious need of repair. Guests were standing waiting for elevator for several minutes, getting very agitated considering there's only 4 floors in this hotel. Hot tub was broken... Air conditioning in my room was broken first night.
