Clean, new, cheery, and comfortable. What more could one ask from a hotel. This brand new Hampton Inn is a great addition to DeLand. Every time I visit DeLand I will stay here. The complimentary breakfast is the feature that "sinks the hook". My family was very pleased with our decision to stay at a favored chain's newest addition. I wish they had a preferred rate for customers of Skydive DeLand.
It was clean. We were only there for one night so it did fine, wouldn't stay for a long period. Not close to anything, its probably closer to a one store, then walls could her neighbors, funny smell in the room. It was clean. The hotel is conveniently located just off the highway exit. The room stunk! It smelled like an old, dingy basement with musty furniture and carpets. When I got home everything I owned (including my suitcase itself!) had to be washed, as it still smelled like mildew. The carpet was dirty with suspicious white stains, the bedspread and sheets also had stains. The tub was so old and someone tried to repaint it, to no avail. It's not worth it to stay here. Even if you're budget conscious, spend a bit more for the other hotels in the area.
The smell when you first walk in
The motel did not appear to be clean At ALL!! Reported to manager toilet ran all night. cockroaches seen on wall and half eaten p[izza under bed.
Horrible Place. Used as an apartment building it seems like, people yelling about crack while walking to a drive by drug deal in the parking lot!!
NO HOT WATER!!! I did not have a warm shower for 4 days, they acted surprised but I believe that is the norm there. One night I had no water at all. People were drinkin in the parkin lot right out front. Straght ot of te hood
Economical. Just needed a bed and shower. Got what I expected for the money.
The friendliness of the management and staff always smiles very polite property grounds very nice rooms are large nice pool and patio area quite at night close to i4 and downtown deland A+
A great value for the money. No complaints...very happy.
The staff was awesome..very friendly and helpful. Great location (visiting family in Deltona and old haunts in DeLand as well as Universal). Plenty of nearby eating establishments. Comfortable rooms as is the standard in any HIE. The room temperature was difficult to adjust to sleeping comfort and the AC fan was a bit loud. The pool is placed along a predominantly shady side of the hotel, so the water was very cold. The Jacuzzi temp was a bit hot. All in all I would overlook these things and stay here again.
I love how close the hotel is to the interstate and also the fact there are many restaurants located nearby.
I just slept there because I had an early flight from Sanford airport. Only about a 15 minute drive. The staff was nice and the room was clean Also got a good nights sleep on the bed. I would stay here again
I can't pick one, so many fantastic experiences! The property was beautiful and elegant, and so different from a typical 'Florida' experience. The innkeepers are wonderful, we have new friends. The food was outstanding, not your usual B&B fare. We were momentarily taken aback with the lack of a shower in the bathroom. But we decided to embrace the experience and party like 1895! I wouldn't change a thing, just add a note.
Cassadaga is the main attraction because there isn't much else around. The place has a very nice old Florida feeling. There aren't many amenities, but our room was clean and nicely furnished. The big veranda is a great place to hang out and people watch and the restaurant is very nice about letting you bring drinks and food out. Had some trouble with the hot water during peak times.
Nice atmosphere, kitschy. front desk person was not very friendly, seems to be at odds with locals.
The bed was very comfortable.
fast, friendly, clean and comfortable. amusing that the complimentary shampoo bottle left was empty.
I liked the closeness to Blue Springs State Park, the affordable price, and cleanliness. It had a small refrigerator with a freezer and a microwave, and decent selections of basic cable and local channels. It was near big box stores and other restaurants within driving distance. I wish it had a pool and jacuzzi but that would seem to ask for too much for the price. It was not a luxury place but it was cozy for a night or two.
Esentially a low-income housing property. Non-smoking hotel...not! Intetesting, historical hotel, but its better days are in the past.
I liked the picture I saw on the internet. Until I arrived. This place looks like it is very rarely cleaned. When I checked out the room it had holes in the wall that were patched but not painted. The window blinds were destroyed, the pillow case looked like it had an ash tray spIlled on it and the hallway rugs looked like they had not been vacuumed in a month. Needless to say we did a u-turn and got a room elsewhere.
Postal museum none
Everything was fine can't complain
I was in town exhibiting for an art show, and was a bit apprehensive about reserving here after reading some of the reviews, but I'm glad I stayed here. My room was clean, decent value for the money, safe area, close to a lot of city amenities, nice staff. For those wanting a 5-star luxury hotel, this is not it, but for those wanting a decent place to sleep&shower, it works well. I found the continental breakfast to be nice and the coffee good. The pool had lots of bugs in it so I couldn't swim. It's an older motel, so there are not enough electrical outlets.
The rooms were very nice. The staff was very friendly. The breakfasts were very good.
Clean Kayak put me and my family, pregnant wife with two children( 3 and 4 years old) in a SMOKING nasty room. Luckily there was another room available on a Thanksgiving day. I would suggest, stay away from Kayak, I think that was a pretty nasty way of making money without asking such an important question like smoking. I thought smoking was not allowed anymore in hotels, uupps, be carefull. Kayak didn't even save me a penny. It would have been cheaper if I would have done the reservetion directly through the hotel. God I hate smokers with passion.
