You have only two hotels in kalavryta, this one is fair enough. We stayed for 1 night in september. Wireless internet did not work from the room.
Street noise was a problem
The central position, close to the main high street and station.
The hotel is lovely, the staff was very helpful and nice, and the room was attractive and had many amenities. The free continental breakfast was quite nice and very welcome. Also, the hotel is very close to shops, restaurants, cafes, etc., being in the charming downtown area of Kalavrita. The beautiful ski resort is about 14 km away, and the drive there was good. The room was very nice but the temperature was too warm, and we could not turn it down effectively. Also, the promotional information said there was some onsite parking, but we only saw street parking and no available parking spaces on the same street as the hotel. Also, the hotel is very near the local church, so bells rang often and loudly.
Restaurant staff were obliging when my daughter asked for a Greek Coffee every morning. Spotless cotton sheets on bed and lovely clean towels.Location very good for getting about. Breakfast: Fried eggs, omelettes, sausages never warm enough to eat even though we were early (08.00 am) to breakfast. Street Noise: My daughter was awoken by street noise early every morning.
The room's patio overlooking downtown Kalavryta and the free breakfast. The staff smoked constantly and the smell found its way up to the room. Also, they have wireless internet, but it's 5 euros for 90 minutes and not free as the hotel's website might lead one to believe. The razor that was provided with the room was rusty and there were other signs that things might not have been as clean as they appeared.
Location of the hotel. Had booked two single rooms and we were pleasantly surprised to be given two good sized rooms. It was hard to find any staff when we came to check out and we did not find them particularly helpful or friendly.
Proximity to town facilities and railway station Service did not come with a smile
It was very relaxing to go back to our hotel. We had a beautiful stay in 3 very nice rooms that were adjoined almost like a house. The kitchen was nice to cook in and our entire family loved to sit on the patio in the evenings and look at the view of the ocean and mountains that surrounded us. Every morning our hostess served us a wonderful and filling breakfast that everyone eagerly awaited and always enjoyed.
This was like being welcomed into someone's home - a really personal experience.
Not easy to find but then the village is very nice, the hotel is different and very unique. You fill like being with a family.
Arhontiko Gerofoti is a pleasant, quiet hotel, ideal for a relaxing weekend or a longer stay.
The relax and the astonishing landscape, We were out of crowd places but only at a few minutes of distance
The place - a quiet mountain village, away from the city. It's no so easy to find the location. The lack of air condition.
Personal service by the owner, hospitality, quiet location with a great view. n/a
Well located, in a charming small village with a most beautiful view. The house itself is charming and the welcome is most friendly and nice.
Fantastic view- stylish furniture-nice little village-i loved the huge window with the mountain view in the shower-the goodmorning smile of mrs vassiliki
The owner of this hotel went out of her way to assist me. I needed a doctor, pharmacy, & somwhere to eat and she offered to take me without hesitation. She also called me several days later after the visit to the doctor to see how I was. This impressed me very much, a very thoughtful thing to do. Location is approximately 10 km out of town, and the views are fantastic.
the breakfast was very weak
Great view. Room was fine and both it and the bathroom were up to the standard of a 3-star hotel. The village is small with several restaurants of medium quality. Hotel proprietor was moderately helpful. Breakfast was plastic and inadequate.
Next to the beach, about midway between Kalavyrta and Patras/Rio bridge Hotel is hard to find as is but when we finally reached it the front desk was unmanned so we had to go ask the next door restaurant owner where the hotel manager was - apparently he went home for some reason, leaving his guests unattended for in the hotel lobby for more than an hour!! In all our many years of traveling and vacationing we have yet to encounter such gross misconduct from an hotel staff! Also breakfast was a poor joke and for these two reasons alone you should stay away from this place.
Good location on the beach, sea view, nice balcony. the breakfast was very weak
Great location on the beach and very kind hotel staff who let us use the computer at the front desk because we didn't have a laptop. Neat to hear a rooster next door in the morning as well as the bells chiming from several churches in the village up the street. Good restaurant as well with delicious ouzo. Nice little balcony that opens up to a beautiful view of the water and beachside. Very hard to find as the directions online only lead you to the town, not the hotel. Would be better if the hotel had directions on the website to follow. If you don't like the smell of smoke, it is impossible to get away from even in your room.
I want to be honest. I did not find something I really liked about the hotel.
good location on the beach, sea view, nice balcony, our triple room was spacious, cosy and clean, good taverna the breakfast could be better, and maybe it is so in high season
beautiful big room with seaview and coffee tea making option in the room-VERY good restaurant just down stairs. BIG and modern shower . breakfast was a small in the room thing but perhaps this is because it was off season -but since there was coffee and we were leaving early anyway it wasnt a problem
The view of the sea, the availability of the staff, the food Its position directly by the road.
the breakfast was poor and of bad quality, also the breakfast room was very tiny
